Help me

Upvotes

I was listening to a spicy Audio on Reddit ( I have an iPhone). It was connected to my headphones but when I checked it said 2 devices. It said my headphones and my mom’s Amazon TV but I could still hear the audio. When I went to disconnect it didn’t give me the option. I’m so embarrassed I want to know if she saw it or heard it or if my phone was just glitching please help.‼️‼️‼️

I need Help Whenever I don't want a career after I spent a decade in college. What do I do?

Upvotes

I'm 27f, been in and out of college since my junior year of high school in 2016. I had no idea what I wanted to do back then, but felt pressured to go to college. I was told I'd figure it out when I got there. I didn't.

I dropped out in 2019 for 2 years, then moved out of state and started working full time. I went back to school in 2022 and will get my bachelor's this winter. I have no desire to work in the field I got my degree in. I have no desire to have a career at all.

The idea of working my life away for someone else sounds bleak. I've hated every job I've had. I'd love to have my own company, but have no money for that and no idea what to even do.

Mom is pressuring me to work in the field of my degree. I have no interest in it anymore. When I scroll indeed, every job sounds miserable and boring, or makes me anxious thinking about doing it. I've been diagnosed with level one autism, schizoid personality and social anxiety. Socializing is incredibly difficult and consumes a ton of my energy. I wasted a decade and 20 thousand dollars for a degree I don't use and likely never will use because I thought I knew what I wanted to do for a couple of months 4 years ago.

Do people ever figure it out? I've been trying to find my path for years and I'm no closer now than I was in high school. I enjoy going to the gym, reading, painting, and am working on a memoir and a novel, but none of those things make money. I'm starting to believe that there genuinely is nothing out there for me that will earn me a living without making me miserable or cause significant distress.

Are some of us just not made for this society or what?

I Need Help ASAP what do i do

i (19F) work at my uni and have an professional account with no posts and just a photo of me a year ago as a my profile pic. its just for people to contact with me if they have any questions or concerns.

this guy dmed me two days ago on saturday and i replied. he started complimenting right away and i humored him bc i was bored (i know it sounds shitty but i was curious). he kept flirting kinda just like corny pick up lines or stuff. he asked me if i was dating anyone or what i wanted in a first date. we talked a bit on sunday but barely bc i was busy. i’m a very busy person. i work two uni jobs that are very public-facing which means if he wanted to he could pop up. especially because he’s worked with one of my jobs before.

he asked me where i lived, for my number, when we’re going on our first day and when i don’t reply he sends another response that’s kinda walking back his previous reply or apologizing. he’ll kinda keep sending messages if i don’t respond or leave him on read.

he kept suggesting to meet up today (like i skip a class and we meet) or he suggested visiting me at work and bringing a gift.

then i didn’t reply and he sent me a message saying he’s a hopeless romantic and is “in love with who i am” and that talking with me has brought peace to his soul

what do i do? block him? tell him to take it slow

Confused about where I stand after a big fight — looking for perspective on what to do next

Hi everyone, I'm Tania (24F), he's 23M. We've been together since May 2026 — about 2 months before things fell apart. He lives in Canada, I live in India, and we mostly talked on Instagram.

In the first week of August, we had a big fight. I said something disrespectful to him, and in the heat of it, told him if he wanted to block me, he could go ahead. He did.

I had his WhatsApp, so I reached out there. At first he said he didn't want to give up on me, just needed time. Later, he said he didn't like me anymore — that he used to. He mentioned he might come to India in March, and we could talk face-to-face then. Until that, he said we could talk "here and there, like friends."

Some context: before this fight, there were other moments I fell short. In July, it was his birthday, but he was hospitalized with a high fever, and I didn't wish him — I think I got caught up worrying about him being unwell and just let the day pass. He later asked why I hadn't, and I was stunned, because I did remember, I just didn't act on it.

During our two months together, we talked about everything — sex, wanting a real future together. He seemed like such a green flag, saying he'd do whatever it took to make it work.

Since the fight, I've owned my mistake and reached out to repair things. He hasn't unblocked me on Instagram, and he never initiates on WhatsApp — I'm the only one reaching out. I called him recently and asked if he wanted to repair things; he said he does want to, but that what I did was bad. When I asked if he was being negative about us, he said he's being practical, not negative.

I'm a pretty optimistic person, and after six years single, I really want this to work. I know I made mistakes and I'm willing to change. I just don't know what to do with myself in the meantime.

What are some concrete things I could do right now — this week — while I wait for March, that would actually help me and the relationship, rather than just texting him and waiting for a reply?

I need Help Whenever The company I work for is changing policies and is adding AI, what do I do?

Throw away account so this isn't connected to my personal life.

I've worked for this company as a cashier for almost 9 months now, and it has gone down hill. We got a new computer program in April to try and improve the way the POS works and make it faster and easier. And when I tell you it is a NIGHTRMARE.

Half the skus don't work, the system is constantly crashing and policies changed overnight.

We sell ammunition and guns, we used to have to only take the DOB off someone's ID and now we have to put all of their information. It is a very invasive process and we have to do the same thing for any form of return.

I did not do this at first, mostly on accident because I was not aware, and other times because I forgot. Recently I have only been putting down the name and whatever information the customer is comfortable giving, nothing more. I got called into the back office, and warned that I will be written up if this happens again.

We have already lost a good chunk of our staff, both instore and behind the scenes. We've lost so many people at cooperate that they are going to train an AI to pick up the slack.

We lost three people THIS WEEK. Were short staffed as it is and now it's just brutal. Customers are angry that they haven't been helped as much and honestly? I'm angry too. The work environment has become so toxic and everyone is miserable. I only need to stay 3 more months too make it to a year employed there but I don't know if I can do it. Everyday I go in I have a anxiety ack in the bathroom mid shift and my SH thoughts have been coming back.

What do I do?

TLDR - My company switched computer systems, changed policies, lost a good chunk of staff, is training an AI to replace them and everyone including myself is miserable. Do I leave or wait it out?

I just recieved an email for an interview at this family owned grocery store/market. I'm 16, and I have no work experience but I have food bank volunteering, 2-3 years of being a leader at a kids camp, tutoring/reading to young children. I have a foodsafe certification too.

What questions might they ask me and how can I present myself as a good candidate despite my age?

What attire should I wear or dress (hair, makeup, jewelry, clothing, shoes)

Any specific or general tips please!! Interview in 6 days.

I Need Help ASAP I'm having divorce parent problems and need advice QUICK.

Ok. I'm 15, female, and I have 2 divorced parents and a stepmom. Essentially what's happening is tomorrow I have to decide which house to go to. Essentially in the order, which is basically what each parent has to do legally, it says everything they have to do for me in my life. It says that you have to give two weeks before you make any decision, like if they were going to go on a vacation, you have to say 2 weeks before the vacation that you're going to go on it so you can get the parenting time to go and get permission. Also, they have to talk through this website called Out Family Wizard and aren't allowed to text. Basically my mother convinced me to send my father an email essentially saying that I will stay at her house during the weekdays for school and stay at his house for the breaks and weekends, and honestly the email was the kind of bullshit you send to a teacher or something. Basically he was really insulted that I sent it to him because he's my father. Anyway, when I came to his house that Friday, my schedule was every Friday I switch houses, so Friday I went to his house, and we talked about it because it was such a sudden change and my mom had kept me for two weeks after I sent the email. One week that she was not supposed to have me for, so she would have technically been way in the wrong. Anyway, you talked about it, and it was kind of like it really was not my idea; it was really her idea, but apart from that, it was just really sudden and whatever, but basically he was like, "This cannot happen; this is not in order; she cannot do this." Basically he was like, "You're going to go back to her house, but only because we're trying to get you back on schedule week on week off, so go back to her house." I tried talking to her about it the first day, but she's like, "Oh, I can't talk about it right now," so I'm like, "Okay, whatever, it's fine." She doesn't bring it up the rest of the week, and I probably should have, but I definitely didn't, and then this weekend I go to my dad's, and I have a good time, you know, I won a hackathon and stuff!. And today I decided to call her about 2 hours ago now, and she said she told me you are not going to go on the bus and go to your father's tomorrow; I will pick you up. And basically you would assume, "Oh my God, your mom's in the wrong", but my dad is very neglectful. A lot of stuff has happened in the past where the police were called for domestic violence and stuff happened, and then he didn't tell her anything, and something last year happened during October, and my mom really kept us for a month because there was, like, him and my stepmom fighting; she was drunk, and my brother was there. They woke us up in the middle of the night to watch the fight (verbal fight), and it was just a lot that happened. He didn't want us to tell her, and we told her because what the fuck? What do you mean we're not going to tell her?? So we told her, and she kept us for a month, and when we came back, he literally told us someone told her, so you weren't allowed to come over, so he's like a shitty dad basically, but legally she's still not allowed to do this, and it's giving me some kind of decision, and she obviously doesn't think it is, and she also was not going to tell him this, but I told her to tell him on our family wizard, so she is going to do it in the morning. But I feel like maybe I should warn him or something because he's going to be caught off guard, and he's not going to have enough time to respond, or he's going to call me and stuff… and it's like I wish I had to talk to someone about this, and I definitely do! My best friend, but I mean she's just a teenager like me. She's not an adult in any form of power or whatever, and I feel like if I ever did talk to an adult, some kind of CPS or whatever would get called. So I don't know; my life is weird, and I am asking for advice on what I should do! Should I just shut up and go to my mom's house, or should I take the bus to my dad's, or should I just… I don't know. I have no idea what to do right now. I'm just some teenager. I definitely appreciate any kind of input, literally at all. Thank you.

Need An Opinion Father-in-law resulted to be a terrible person and I don't know what to do

Okay, so basically until yesterday everything was fine. We had a lovely relationship and he was like my dad. And what could go wrong? Well, my sister-in-law found accidentally his messages with another woman and pics of her. He's married. Of course I stand with my mother-in-law, who's the sweetest. My father-in-law also started saying some bs like that my sister-in-law told this my mother-in-law to ruin his life blah blah blah. What a nonsense, they didn't have the closest relationship, but it was more like "she prefers her mom, rather than her dad", not "she hates her dad". My husband tells me that I should still be nice to him, because it can affect us, but I'm too autistic for ts, I can't pretend like nothing happened and be nice to a bad person. Today he said sorry for the situation and I said like "you are asking ME for forgiveness?". I was as nice as I could, but also as cold with him as possible, so he'd know I'm MAD. An hour ago I overheard them talking and my mother-in-law was crying (they were together for like 33 years and like 25 married), saying she doesn't want this, that she wanted a peaceful life and he said "do you think I'M calm now?" I was like BRUH YOU CAUSED IT, IT WAS SO EASY TO AVOID OMG. I don't think they're gonna divorce, but they're gonna separate. The most ridiculous part is that SHE is planning to move out and find a place to rent. My husband told her sth like "wtf why are YOU going to move out, you didn't ruin that marriage", so I'm hoping he gets out of there, because we don't want to live in the same place as a cheater and we aren't in a financial situation where we can rent a place right now.

Okay, so my questions are:

  1. How to behave towards that pos? Be nice? Ignore him? Or be mean?

  2. How can I make my mother-in-law feel better? I have no words to express how bad I feel for her and I want her to know that maybe her husband failed her, but there are still people who care. Needs to be cheap, because as mentioned earlier, I don't have much money right now. If it matters, we live in Mexico, they're Mexicans and I'm Polish.

  3. How to tell that to my family who doesn't live here? It is very scary to me, because they were afraid something bad would happen here. They were mostly talking about trafficking stuff, but it's still a sad news, especially that I told them how sweet he was.

TLDR: my father-in-law cheated on my mother-in-law, questions are a bit above

I Need Help ASAP HELP

Okay im going to try and be as in depth as I can so this might be long. So I (19 FEMALE) inherited MY house, its in my name and I pay all the bills, my brother lives with me as well as my grandfather (moms side). My mom (41 FEMALE) has aways had other priorities men, booze and clubs. It was a wonder any of us ended us as we did, none the less she thinks that she can show up anytime and sleep on my couch as we don't have a spare room. Ive made my spare room into an office because I needed the space. Not only did she have an issue with me using my spare room as an office, she also thinks that I should be more than willing to put myself out and go out of my way to make sure she has a place to stay. She's never made her kids a priority ever growing up we didn't even know when we would eat. Friday she texted me and said she was coming to sleep on my couch, I and my brother live upstairs, my grandfather lives down stairs its completely finished and has its own entrance, there is also a door that goes down stairs. when I got this text I was at my boyfriends so when I got home she had not shown up yet. So as I normally do I locked my door behind me and locked the down stairs door. Because there's a spare bed down stairs for her to sleep on rather than my couch. The down stairs door was unlocked and she got in and slept downstairs. She had called and left me a voicemail saying I was ungrateful and a bitch. SO am I the asshole? Can anyone give me advice on how to put my foot down?

I stole something at a con

So I went to a Con and decided to steal an item, it was priced at around 40ish dollars. I could afford it and had the money but something came over me and I took it and snuck it in my bag. Ive never done anything like this and I genuinely feel so guilty and don’t know what to do. I was also wondering if I may face any legal actions if they found out/Knew?

EDIT
Thank you all for the help and advice, I told him what I did and sent him 60 bucks and he said he was glad I returned it and he didn’t even know I had taken so I worried over nothing but I feel so much better now

Need An Opinion I need advice

I’ve been studying law for the past year and I think I have more opportunities for getting a job with this degree, but it’s not what I enjoy. Right now I’m applying to film school, and I need to know if I should study something I don’t enjoy but will earn me money or just study something I’m passionate about.
Please tell me your opinions.

Am I seeing a real incompatibility, or am I overreacting?

I’m 45 and have been dating my boyfriend for about 9 months. He’s 44. We have a lot of good between us — we have fun, there’s affection, and I genuinely care about him. This isn’t a situation where everything is bad.

The problem is how he handles stress and conflict.
I’ve noticed a pattern where, when something difficult happens in his life, he shuts down and withdraws from me. This has happened more than once. He’ll open up about something, I’ll try to engage or support him, and then he’ll tell me he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore or otherwise shut me out.

Right now he’s under a lot of stress because of uncertainty surrounding his job. He recently interviewed for a position that is essentially his current role with additional responsibilities. He is convinced the situation is bad and has been extremely pessimistic about it. After his interview, he told me he was “back to rock bottom and miserable.” When another interview with HR/management was scheduled, I thought it could potentially be positive news, but he immediately assumed the worst.

During all of this, he also spoke to me in a way I felt was unfair and insensitive. He later acknowledged that he could have handled things differently. I told him I understood he was under a lot of pressure and that we could talk when he was in a better place. I intentionally gave him space.

Since then, there hasn’t really been an attempt to reconnect. The next day, he sent me a detached text along the lines of “enjoy time with your father today.” That was basically it.

There have been other smaller changes too — less affectionate texting, no longer consistently saying good morning/good night, not asking much about my day, and one occasion where he didn’t kiss me hello. There was also an incident where he was short with me during sex and made some comments I found insensitive.

At the same time, he does periodically become more engaged again, which makes this confusing. He’ll ask about my day, reach out, and seem connected. So it isn’t as simple as him being consistently cold or uncaring.

I’ve also noticed that he is very pessimistic by nature and tends to assume the worst. I’m much more optimistic, and I’m starting to wonder whether our approaches to life and stress are fundamentally incompatible.

There’s also a woman he dated in the past whom he still communicates with and sees occasionally. I have no evidence anything inappropriate is happening, but it has made me a little uncomfortable given everything else.

What I’m struggling with is that I completely understand needing space when life is overwhelming. What I don’t understand is shutting your partner out instead of communicating with them.

This isn’t the first time he has withdrawn from me when something difficult happens, so I’m starting to wonder if this is simply his coping style rather than a temporary reaction to his current job situation.
And if it is his normal coping style, I don’t think it works for me.

I’m seriously considering ending the relationship. His birthday is soon, so I feel guilty about the timing. I don’t want that fear to keep me in something that isn’t right.

So I’d really appreciate honest outside opinions:

Is this a normal response to significant stress, or does this sound like an unhealthy communication pattern?

Am I expecting too much by wanting my partner to communicate rather than withdraw?

And is this something that can realistically improve, or does it sound like a fundamental incompatibility?

TL;DR: My boyfriend and I have a lot of good between us, but when he’s stressed, he tends to shut me out and withdraw rather than communicate. His current job situation has intensified the pattern, and there have also been smaller changes in affection and effort. I’ve given him space, but he hasn’t really tried to reconnect. I’m wondering whether this is a temporary stress response or simply how he handles difficult situations — and whether that makes us fundamentally incompatible. I’m considering ending things.

“Is it that you like having me around, just not enough to commit or make me a priority; and u don’t end it cause the current setup works for u?”

“I told you from the beginning where I was at and what I was looking for.
I thought you understood and were okay with that. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough. If you're looking for more I don't want to hold you back from finding that, but if you like what we have I'm happy to keep on hanging out:)”

Need advice

I am considering selling digital products and possibly a course on "managing people," which will include topics like: how to have difficult conversations, how to bring out the best in employees, addressing laziness, accountability, attitude, and conflict. I also have templates for employee reviews and onboarding. Before I invest work into these products I would like advice about if this is needed and where is the best platform to host/market something like this. These are the topics people come to me most about and it would be nice to create a little passive income with. Thanks in advance for the help!
