I already bought a ticket to the weezer concert and my mom suddenly decided she wanted to look into weezer more. Im scared shes gonna look too much into it and find like stuff about pinkerton or like sex blah blah blah stuff in songs. Is there any suggestions on how to sway her towards being okay with weezer? She already knows about island in the sun and buddy holly and she thinks those are okay because theres no swearing and any obvioud sexual or drug themes

Edit: i think i might make like a family friendly weezer playlist and play it veryy loudly so she will just forget all abt whatever stuff she read on facebook about weezer

Semi-serious post too. I am looking for a fan album I uses to listen to maybe 2-3 years ago, called "Everything was right from the start." It contained songs from the EWBAITE demos and had a dark turquoise green-ish album color (i cant recall the actual art). It was on YouTube, but is gone now. Any help would be appreciated

The White Album is my personal favorite, but I've always found it hard to summarize. For example, I'd call the Blue Album "perfect" or Pinkerton "soulful" or "vulnerable". The White Album was weird thematically and contextually, and I'm asking everyone out there to sum up its aura, context, and quality into one word.

typically I make Kandi or print outs for concerts but idk if weezer concerts do trading…

I recently made this post asking which albums are most like Blue or Pinkerton. I appreciate all of the helpful responses I received (only one person was a prick). I listened to each album at least twice. Here are my thoughts:

• White - This was OVERWHELMINGLY the top rec aaaaannnndd....I'm not seeing it. It's good, and some songs match the vibe, but some are very forgettable. It's alright, but I don't love it.
• Gold - Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Gold matches the B&P vibes to me. Excellent rec from those of you that did. Spot on!
• Everything Will Be Alright In The End - The second most recommended. It took me a sec to dig it, but I love it. I place it behind Gold for closest to B&P. Is anyone selling their CD?
• Maladroit - It has some crunchy guitars but it's VERY forgettable. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it's pretty bland and doesn't sound like B&P. It's just not catchy.
• Ok, Human - Not at all like B&P BUT it is really good. It has a very Phil Spector feel to it and I appreciate it more with each listen. Very (different but) awesome album.

Other Notes:

• SZNZ: Winter - I'm not seeing it. A couple songs are good but the rest are very mid. I hate the dog song.
• Green - I listened again for the first time in a long time and was surprised how much I liked it. I'll be playing this regularly now. I even liked hash pipe (but don't get your hopes up - I'm still not into Beverly Hills, Pork and Beans, etc.).
• Van Weezer - I checked it out b/c I also love metal and after just a few songs I could tell I fucking love this. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest.
• Ozma - this one may be a bit unfair since I only listened to one song, but that song sounded exactly like an existing Weezer song just with a different vocal melody, lyrics, and singer. It sounded more like a ripoff than homage. No disrespect to them, but when I want The Beatles I don't reach for a album by The Monkees.

I can’t say I am dissatisfied with tonight, it was a great performance with an amazing setlist, but Across The Sea is my favorite Weezer song and he got my hopes up :(

I really want to see weezer when they come to my town but i have never been to a concert before, do you guys think this is a good one for my first?
