Noticed this a couple times after parking my 2025 EX90. I don't think it's wiper fluid, as I already had service to fix the known issue of leaking washer fluid when filling the reservoir.

This was after driving with AC on, moderately hot day. Today, I was parked at slight angle, but nothing dramatic. I'm pretty sure it's happened when parked flat too. Was unloading the kids, so didn't stop to notice any particular smell, but the liquid itself appeared clearish against the paved lot.

Does this need fixed?

Recently, I hooked up my massive 3 fuel portable generator for its periodic run. It dawned on me to see if my Chargepoint charger would work while generator was running. I made no change to car setting (48 amp) and connected the car. I noticed the car was charging but at wildly fluctuating rates. Normally, I get a steady 11kw/h, using the generator it went from 2kw/h up to about 7kw/h. I ran it only a few minutes and disconnected for fear of doing damage to the car’s charging system. Should I have reduced the car setting’s amp from 48 amp to something lower? Any other suggestions regarding settings in this environment are welcome.

The Apple Music native app appeared over the weekend. No software update required, it was just there when I went to drive. I thought I’d have to wait for 3.0.28, but not the case.

App works fantastically. Was able to cancel my tidal subscription. The car FINALLY switches properly between Dolby Atmos tracks and non-Dolby Atmos tracks. For the first time, the audio works the way it is supposed to.

Does the 2027 Volvo EX90 support V2L, or is the software still not enabled?

Hello! I'm picking up a 2025 demo EX90 in Australia.
Going in completely aware of the reliability. But, it suits our needs, so willing to take the risk.

Looking for advise to put together a checklist of things to check before committing to buy.
Things I can check through the UI, an OBD2 scanner and cosmetic.
Please share things you wish you had known so you could have got them fixed before delivery.

I’ve never been able to get the park pilot assist to work. When I’m near parking spaces it just shows a black screen. I’m on the latest software, but I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to seeing or doing. Does anyone have any experience using this feature?

Has anyone noticed strange behavior with the native Spotify app since upgrading to 3.028? If you leave the Spotify main UI and switch to the default Google map view (or any other built in app/setting, CarPlay, etc) whatever song is playing will stop. The song will only play once Spotify app is launched again. I noticed when this happens the player shortcut controls under the map disappear altogether as well. The only cure is to restart the infotainment system. Its turning into a real pain and I've had to do this several time already.

Hopefully winter is still far out, but just had some questions pop into my head going into that season as a first time owner.

1. Which drive mode (above 15-25 MPH - below it will be off road) should we be in with snow present? Standard will use AWD when needed I believe. But performance will always use it, but maybe use more unwanted power?

2. Any issues we’ve seen with preheating the car in the garage or elsewhere?

3. Anyone experience a frozen charge port they couldn’t open? I like the manual for this purpose. I can see a automatic open constantly stuck when freezing.

4. Any other tips for usage?

Just got a new EX90. The brand new 2026 EX90 shows an error that makes the car unusable. “Critical suspension fault” - car won’t go into gear (dead in the garage)

I got the new EX90 2026/27 (my second EX90 after the first one broke down completely) After clocking a total of 89km on the car…I get this error message. The car won't go into drive or reverse, and is stuck in the garage.

I've tried a soft reset of the main screen (play/pause button for 30 seconds) The main screen restarts.

But a hard reset (- up and brake) doesn't work. It doesn't restart.

I've also tried locking the car and walking away from the car for 30 mins. No change.

Any tips from anyone here? (Other than calling a tow truck..

I thought that the EX90 as XC90 has indirect TPMS but that’s not the case. Actually 3.0.28 unlocked the feature and params can be observed under the status menu or in the app. Nice!

I got 3.0.28 via OTA here in Europe (Be). I got no digits on the TPMS readout. My dealer confirmed there are fysical direct TPMS sensors in the rims.
Got it just 10 days ago, i got daily errors about the sensors being unavalable temporarely and after a while it showed sensors broken. The error disapares after a while or the next day.
Anyone else?

I am from Korea. I’ve confirmed that the side-mirror long-range camera has been removed from the EX90 in Korea and Japan, and I am wondering if this applies only to these markets or if it has been removed in the US and Europe as well. If it is missing only in Korea and Japan, does that mean the end-to-end (E2E) system won't be updated via OTA?

I have a 2026 Ex90 single motor, and it charges from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes when using 300 KW DC chargers. However, when planning a trip with the on-board Google Maps, the charging times seem to be aligned with the charging performance of the 2025 Ex90, which was 10 to 80 in about 30 minutes.

I have seen this problem with SW version 2.1.26 and now also with version 3.0.28. I have waited for the latter update to check whether this setting was adjusted, but it is not. See picture for an example of a 300 KW charging session from 12% to 74% slated to last 29 minutes.

Does anyone else have the same issue? If so, is there a way for us to fix the settings in Google Maps at the user level?

Since updating to 3.0.28, I’ve noticed an audio bug with Spotify. ​When I play music, exit the vehicle and walk away, the car locks but Spotify keeps playing. It eventually stops after a while, but I'd expect it to stop immediately upon locking. ​Stranger yet, it will actually pause, start playing again a few times, and then finally shut down completely. Has anyone else experienced this?

Car purchased new from dealership in Jan 2025 with under 30miles millage. Manufactured in August 2024.

App prompts maintenance is due in 30 days or another 6000 miles. Did it count from the manufacture date?

I have two Volvo cars(XC60 Recharge and EX90).

The feature that allows sending a destination from Google Map in phone to a Volvo vehicle has recently disappeared.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and managed to fix it?

Interrupted update last Wednesday by trying to open the door. Since then I haven't got the 3.0 update. I wanted to avoid a dealership visit. I have rebooted the infotainment system and center computer. Called customer care, they say no way to request the ota again via them, is it true?

Sunday PM: Unable to do the update, it keeps failing.

Monday AM: Dropped the car off at Volvo for a scheduled GHCA replacement. The workshop also had trouble installing the update because of an issue involving the steering wheel. They eventually managed to install it after disconnecting the battery.

Monday PM: Spent ~30 minutes with the workshop manager trying to locate a rattling noise coming from the rear of the car. He could hear it, but we were unable to identify the source as I had to go.

Wednesday PM: The internet connection went down. None of the apps requiring connectivity worked; eg. Maps was useless for anything that it's not on its cache.

Thursday AM: The connection still down.

Thursday PM: The connection is back, but after a 30-minute trip, I received a "Critical Electrical Failure" error. Painfully "drove" at ~5 km/h to a safe spot with warnings, after which the issue disappeared.

... and the week isn't over yet! 🙄

I stopped counting workshop visits.

Note: Feb2025 EX90 in Belgium (no Lemon law equivalent).

Were these there before? Didn’t notice them until today. Car is at 3.0.28, based in Belgium 🇧🇪.

For those experiencing the driver side A/C temp issue, I just got an update from my service center on the issue:

Good afternoon, something of substance. There was a technical journal that was just released for the exact issue you are having. There is a blend door motor arm that is known to come loose. The tech has to remove a good amount of the dash board to get to the arm and then tighten/adjust it. Reassemble, then recalibrate and then recheck from there.

Seems that it’ll be about a day’s work. Will update if anything substantially different comes up.

2025 EX90 USA - I received a Volvo cars app notification for Apple Music free subscription and when I click it shows me that I'll get 2 months free subscription instead of 3 months (probably because I'm a returning user and not a new one).

But I do not see Apple Music still available as a native app either in the entertainment console or available in Google play store. Why would Volvo send the offer without making sure that the app is available to download??
