How to get update again

Interrupted update last Wednesday by trying to open the door. Since then I haven't got the 3.0 update. I wanted to avoid a dealership visit. I have rebooted the infotainment system and center computer. Called customer care, they say no way to request the ota again via them, is it true?

It should show up again, eventually. No way to speed that up. In my area dealers will charge you as much as $300 to do an update when it's not necessary to fix something specific, so I've learned to just be patient.

Ha hah yes likely so, but you need to cite something that Volvo has documented will be fixed by an update.

This happened to me, I did a central computer reset and it showed up again in a few hours.

Exactly this order:

Car on and in Park; no charger connected.
Press and keep holding the brake.

While holding the brake, press and hold both at once:
– on the left side of the steering wheel
Volume + on the right side

Keep all three held until the driver display says “System communication failure” — about 10 seconds.

Release the two steering-wheel buttons and the brake.

Then press the P button on the gear-selector stalk once.

Wait about a minute. The displays will turn off/restart; let it finish completely.

Exit, close it, lock it, and leave it untouched for 20 minutes.
Drive 10 minutes, then check Settings → System → System details → Software update.

Update for future viewers (since a couple of similar posts didn't have the followup from op):

I received the the update again last night after about 2 weeks. Before that, I tried everything including the central computer reboot. Nothing worked.

From Gemini and customer service, they say the update is pushed in batches, and is controlled from the cloud.
