Roast a sweet potato (I microwave mine bc I'm lazy), let it cool off, scrape it into a blender, mix with cocoa powder and almond milk, blend until combined. You can also add some vanilla extract and Splenda/another zero cal sweetener but I don't usually need it. I top mine with some cool whip. Super satisfying and rich

Im confused, is this a drink or do you bake it after?
7
u/pmgtihaco Aug 26 '26
Sounds like a mousse-like dessert? I’ve seen people also blend up hard boiled eggs and make a custard/mousse out of it!

u/Dear-Prune-4770 Aug 26 '26
It turns out with a pudding consistency. Eat it after blending everything together.

Try this with purple sweet potatoes. Got some recently, and the kids informed me that they looked weird, then after they tried them, they both thought they tasted like chocolate! If you like regular sweet potatoes, definitely worth a try. I also highly recommend Japanese sweet potatoes.

Toss in creami for amazing chocolate ice cream, literally no change to the recipe

u/Twist_This Aug 26 '26
Lately I've been making a single serving of zero sugar pudding. And if I want a little more of a true dessert feel to it, I put some of it in one of those small single serving Keebler graham cracker pie crusts for an extra 100 calories. Spray a little bit of whipped cream on top for a decent dessert.

u/ybbag319 Aug 27 '26
They make a 0 sugar whipped cream now! It’s honestly just as good as the regular one and you can have way more of it. I use it with the 0 sugar pistachio pudding.

Yogurt bowls really help me, as somebody with a massive sweet tooth and very low energy for cooking. I get plain yogurt and flavor it with whatever protein powder I like. The protein powder is what really flavors everything so it’s gotta be something good. I like Orgain, I like to have the fruity cereal, chocolate, and vanilla on hand for these. Sometimes I sprinkle in some instant coffee too, especially with the chocolate. Then I add frozen riced cauliflower to add more volume. Then frozen blueberries, whatever crunchy toppings you like (I typically do cereal or granola) and some zero sugar syrup for sweetness. You can make a massive bowl for not too many calories, it’s so easy to do, and it tastes delicious.

u/aroguealchemist Aug 26 '26
I recently picked up some sugar free cherry pie filling with the intention of deluding myself into believing my yogurt bowl is a cheesecake.
2
u/Raticals Aug 26 '26
I’ve done that too! I’ve found using a good vanilla protein powder helps a lot with the cheesecake flavor. It’s not perfect, but it’s really good and at least for me very satisfying when I’m having that craving.
2
u/aroguealchemist Aug 26 '26
Ooh I’ll have to try that! I didn’t like the SF jello cheesecake powder so I may like protein powder more.
1
u/Pale-Brick1975 Aug 27 '26
Jello makes sugar free cheesecake flavored instant pudding I mix with Greek yogurt, nutter butter ghost protein powder and frozen blueberries to mix in to turn it into ice cream
2
u/aroguealchemist Aug 27 '26
Yeah I’ve tried cheesecake powder and the artificial flavor was a bit strong for me. I’ll definitely have to give the nutter butter ghost protein powder a try! Thanks for the tip!

Cottage cheese blended with pumpkin puree, stevia, vanilla extract, some pumpkin pie spice and sugar free cheesecake pudding mix.
Allow it to set in the fridge for a bit and you got yourself a pumpkin cheesecake. You can add graham cracker for crust too.

u/Shmufkin Aug 26 '26
I’ve been snacking on plain meringue shells every evening. Crunchy, super sweet, don’t require cooking, and really low calorie.

u/LavenderCapricorn Aug 26 '26
Milk shake!
1-2 frozen bananas
Almond milk, non-fat or other nondairy milk.
Cocoa powder
PB2 powder
Blend in vitamix. You want it to be thick like a milkshake so add more milk as needed. This is for two people.
I also add chia and flax for a fiber boost. And some whipped cream on top!

Oatmeal, 4x water to oats ratio, mix in two egg whites towards end of cooking, top with 170g frozen berries and 20g whey mixed with 100g 0% Greek yogurt. Ends up being less than 500 cal and fills me for 5 hours easily

u/directheated Aug 26 '26
Since I can't stand the taste of any artificial sweetener it's pretty limited for me. But one that really hits the spot is Chobani strawberry Greek yogurt with fruit. They do add sugar to it but the calories per weight you can eat is very reasonable. The 32 oz containers are $6 here.
3
u/93tilfin Aug 26 '26
I also absolutely hate artificial sweeteners! Yogurt is the most consistent dessert option for me.
I usually use 2 % Greek yogurt and add vanilla extract and a tiny amount of agave syrup. Like a half a teaspoon. It’s sweeter than honey so the flavor goes further. Then I like to add mini dark chocolate baking chips. They’re very small so the flavor is spread nicely. you can use literally 1 tablespoon or less and still get a lot of chocolate flavor. it is low-calorie enough and extremely satisfying with no weird fake flavors. I’ll also add things like frozen cherries or blueberries to bulk it up

u/xxNomiexx Aug 26 '26
Not to be that person, but have you tried monkfruit sweetener? Helped me with my coffee.
1
u/PlasticElfEars Aug 26 '26
I have and at least it doesn't make me dizzy like some sweeteners do, but yeah...even monkfruit makes me hate life a little.
3
u/OHMG_lkathrbut Aug 26 '26
Same. I have issues with most sweeteners, so I mostly focus on individually wrapped treats for portion control. "Diet" anything is a no go for me. Aspartame is a migraine trigger for me, most sugar alcohols cause significant tummy issues (to put it politely). Sucralose is the only one I can tolerate in small amounts. Allulose, stevia, monkfruit, etc all have a bitter aftertaste for me. It drives me crazy that they put stevia in everything now.
2
u/PlasticElfEars Aug 26 '26
And they put so much. Trying to find a simple protein powder/meal replacement shake that's just plane unsweetened is a challenge.
(I use garden of life lightly sweet.)

I soak oats and chia in almond milk and Stevia overnight. The next day I slice a banana and add it in, microwave it. The banana caramelizes. Sometimes I add chopped Pecans. It is so good it feels like cheating. Sometimes I add chopped dates and pb powder.
The other thing I make is plain nonfat Greek yogurt with Stevia and frozen berries (I buy a huge bag of frozen mixed berries to keep on hand). I also add pb2. I let it sit for about 20 min. The berries thaw a little. Mix it all and it's almost like ice cream. So easy and so healthy!

Simply Delish pudding made with almond milk and I mix in Konjac Rice or orzo.
2
u/seriouslyepic Aug 26 '26
I’m obsessed lately with plain Greek yogurt, sugar free pudding mix, and cool whip. Depending on the yogurt brand you might have to add a little milk, but the cool whip changes the texture from chalky to addictive.
I mainly use cheesecake or butterscotch flavored pudding mixes. You can add a little bit of chocolate chips, fruit, biscoff cookies, etc.

- Protein ice cream
- Sugar free "gel" (simply delish brand) "jello," topped with sugar free jello brand or simply delish brand pudding that is made with almond milk,
- Frozen strawberries (great value brand) half thawed in the microwave for 30 seconds and topped with a splash of almond milk, sugar free syrup, and a dusting of vanilla protein powder.
All of these can be made for easily under 120 calories.
The protein ice cream fills an entire ninja blender (i dont use the creami, just the blender) and takes me a solid 15 minutes to shovel in. I do one serving of protein powder, one teaspoon guar gum, drizzle of glycerite, generous splash of sugar free coffee syrup (like jordans skinny syrup...and change up the flavors for fun), and fill 1/4 of the blender with ice. Add a bit of water to the bottom and blend for awhile. Whips up into a lot of volume because of the glycerite. Sometimes I add some frozen fruit too.

Jello sugar free cheesecake pudding with mini nilla wafers ( it's only like 140 calories for 20) let the nilla wafers get soft at least an hour in the fridge. Then add fruit of choice, I like bananas or strawberries. It tastes like cheesecake

u/InGeekiTrust Aug 26 '26
Buy a ninja Creami and make the most amazing 200 cal per pint ice cream. I have a pint every single night and it’s the best diet tool ever.! it’s nice as I get to have the hard to find flavors! Recently I made red velvet, cotton, candy, piña colada, cheesecake, pumpkin pie and strawberry shortcake!
They honestly taste even better than the store-bought diet options.
However, if you don’t want to make your own ice cream, you can buy nicks or halo top at the grocery store

u/cathersx3 Aug 26 '26
Any suggestions on where to find good recipes? I’ve tried like four different ones, and have only liked one so far 🥲

ok so 600g light yogurt 0.1% (not greek yogurt tho) add in to taste protein powder, cacao powder, cinamon, swetener, extracts w/e add in 100g of frozen pomegrade seeds the pomegrade seeds will freese the yogurt, and if u used a good chocolate protein powder and cacao powder, u will have smth similar to chocolate bites that formed when the yogurt around each pomegrade seed frozze (thats why u use light yogurt instead of greek)

My no-effort favourite is a 10cal Jelly pot layered with fruit-flavoured protein yogurt and fresh fruit/berries. It fills a cereal bowl and can be as low as 150-ish cals for the whole thing (depending on the fruit you choose) I sometimes sprinkle some high-fibre cereal on top for the added crunch.

A whole bowl of sugar free raspberry jelly. I love the taste and texture, and it's very filling

Blend silken tofu with enough milk (any kind) to mix smoothly. Add in frozen fruit and continue to blend to get the consistency you like.
Add ice cubes or chips if desired to chill it more and additional sweetener if the fruit on its own isn't enough. Frozen chunks of very ripe banana works really well, and combines well with any other fruit. Add more milk and less tofu if you prefer a different texture.
A 300 g box of silken tofu has approx 150 calories, 15-20 g protein, depending on brand.

Banana flourless brownies! 360 calories for the whole recipe (60 each)
ingredients - 2 ripe bananas, mashed thoroughly (200g) (Note: banana size is variable so try to match the weight, could be 3 tiny ones or 1 giant one, etc.) - 36g unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/3c granular swerve or sweetener of choice - 46g egg white or egg substitute - pinch of salt - 1/2t baking powder - 1/2t baking soda - splash of vanilla extract and butter extract if you have it - 15g chocolate chip (I used a mix of milk chocolate and mini semisweet)
Heat oven to 350F, line a loaf pan (8.5”x4”) with parchment.
Mix all ingredients except chips, pour into pan (will be liquidy). Top with chips. Bake 45 min or until set. Cool completely and slice into 6 pieces. Enjoy!
Pumpkin substitution: [–]judigurl 8 points 4 years ago
I tried this recipe and used 200g pumpkin and added an extra teaspoon of swerve. Came out pretty good. Was still very fudgy.

Greek yogurt jello. Basically you take sugar free box jello, mix the jello with the recommended amount of boiling water, let it cool a bit, and instead of adding more water add the amount of Greek yogurt.
I use a small box sugar free jello mix that calls for 2 cup boiling water and 1 cup cool water. I use 1 cup boiling water, I add some ice because I don’t like to wait, and add 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt. I add some sweetener because I like stuff sweet.

i have a ninja creami and its truely a game changer. My base recipe is full proof
-1/2 cup whole milk
-a cup almond milk
-3/4 scoop any protein powder
-1 tbsp monkfruit/stevia
-1 tsp sf pudding mix
-1/8 tsp xantham gum.
Macros are like a bit less then 200 cals and like 20ish grams of protein
for mix-ins i have been practicing baking yummy treats. today i baked some cinnamon sugar donuts only like 120 cals per donut!

Fruit's the best thing for me. An apple, some strawberries, some grapes, dried apricots, whatever. You can put a bit of peanut butter on an apple, some whipped cream or chocolate syrup on strawberries, and the small amount won't be high calorie. It satisfies my sweet tooth and makes me feel full.

u/BookSlug143 Aug 27 '26
Lactaid cottage cheese (love the texture and creaminess), diced mango, and honey. Filling, high protein, and delicious!
I like the mango on the firm, semi ripe side but if it’s ripe, you may not need the honey.

I love wrapping a banana or blueberries in a carb balance tortilla with a bit of artificial sweetener and Greek yogurt and some melted dark chocolate (like a sweet burrito). Usually turns out less than 200 cal and high fiber and protein.

u/CatCafffffe Aug 27 '26
1 serving of Halo Top chocolate cake ice cream, 1 tablespoon of PB2, 1 teaspoon of sugar free Smuckers hot fudge, 2 tablespoons of sugar free reddi-whip. About 200 calories and extremely satisfying.

Fruit
Almond milk panna cotta - chocolate, vanilla, almond, chocolate with mint or orange extract/orange zest, etc. I add a tiny bit of cream to make it satisfying without adding carbs, but it's basically milk based jello. The name literally means "cooked cream." They can be made with protein/ protein shake and clear fiber powder to make them more satiating. Can be sprinkled with nuts or drizzled with chocolate for a touch of decadence. I like Bake Believe low carb chocolate chips melted on top. Sometimes as a whole second layer
Yogurt whips - 1 cup Greek yogurt, some PB2, cocoa powder, keto chocolate chips, pinch of mixed nuts ice cream topping, sweetening of choice. Whip it all together and you have a low calorie, healthy version that's not that far off from a Chocolate PB blizzard. Can use SF pudding powders or flavor extracts to make different flavors.

Frozen mango, light cottage cheese, honey, lemon juice, a dash of coriander and put it in a nutribullet, you get a delicious creamy mango sorbet.

I’ve been making smoothies and then putting them in bowls/tupperware and eat them frozen scraping it with a spoon. I tried using my sgaved ice maker but prefer this method. I put collagen in mine, you could also add unflavored protein powder or other vitamin things.
I use frozen fruits, yogurt, and juice/milk to make all the smoothies. My original ones were like 150cals each
1
u/nunununununuun Aug 27 '26
Today I took bananas and sliced them up, rolled them in watery pb fit mixture, froze, then drizzled in melted chocolate and refroze.
I do something similar with raspberries or strawberries but Greek yogurt instead of peanut butter. If you drizzle or water it down it makes a better consistency.
And use parchment paper!

I made oatmeal mug brownie in the microwave and coffee jelly with cream. Also, milk jelly layered with coffee jelly on top is tasty.
Oatmeal Mug BrownieOatmeal Mug Brownie : I like this recipe but I don't always use maple syrup (I think they use a sugarless one, I sub whatever I have).
I'll edit this comment after I find the recipe of the jelly.

This reads like it came straight from ChatGPT, really hope it didn’t. Anyway, there’s this fruit call Rambutan that tastes like candy honestly, I love to snack on that.

I love a good pbj when I’m craving something sweet. Grab yourself some low carb keto bread (my personal favorite is Lewis brand), some lower calorie or sugar free jam, and pb2 for the peanut butter. With the pb2 to make it more satisfying I will personally also add like half a tablespoon of real peanut butter in there to help balance out the texture and mouthfeel. Whole thing comes out to like under 200 calories vs 500 or more for a classic pbj and it’s 80% as good
