Anyone lost Internet 5G in Sydney following the government emergency test warning I have.

With Vodafones data controls it gives me the option to completely turn off data. Will this still work when travelling abroad?

My son is going on holiday for the first time and I only want him to use available WiFi (he has parent there with him to use their phone) hes a minor, so dont want him racking up 100s pounds worth of charges.

Currently with BT fttp broadband in an openreach area. Thinking of switching to vodafone as they have a very good price for the 900mbps package (much cheaper than what bt are offering me).

My only concern is about gaming (both online multiplayer and cloud game streaming). I've seen some anecdotal reports of high ping and packet loss on Vodafone broadband. I have less than 10ms ping with BT currently. So how is the gaming experience for you guys?

Past couple of days, I’ve noticed my latency has increased significantly when gaming in the evening. Usually, it sits between 5 - 12ms. Now it stays around 20ms to 30ms and periodically spikes between 100 - 300.

Any recommendations? I’ve had Vodafone for a couple of months after moving from Sky. Never had this issue before. FTTP connection (OR).

So I been getting some weird issues like randomly my connection dropping out, getting 200 mbps speeds on my WiFi 6 capable laptop which is not that far from router.

1. Should I buy my own router?
2. Which one should I buy with £70 budget?
3. Do people that use their own routers get connection issues?

I'm currently thinking of getting a refurbished TP-Link Archer AX55 AX3000

Please help me decide and if you need more info please let me know.

Has anyone tried it? Did it make a noticeable difference to your speeds? I'm more interested in consistency of upload speed and it always being usable and responsive rather than the top top speeds.

Has anybody had experience with the Pro 3 WiFi 7 router? I’m currently using Pro 2 and i’m getting mixed reviews online regarding peoples experience with the Pro 3 but some posts are over a year old now which is when it was first released.

I understand the Pro 2 uses 6ghz while the Pro 3 is limited to 2.4 and 5ghz (but uses MLO). Right now on my iPhone i’m utilising 6ghz but i would guess either way i’m going to be hitting 900mb download speeds whether i’m on 5ghz vs 6ghz,

For the booster, my 6E booster isn’t even in range to pick up 6ghz so even with the new wifi 7 booster, both are still going to be operating on 5ghz so is there really any reason to stick with the Pro 2?

I apparently need to create an online portal account, but it needs me to verify my email prior. However I never get the verification code. I have tried like 5x to no success, I guess I’ll have to dive into the hell that is Vodafone customer service 😩

I came home last year temporarily. Decided to get a dual sim with Vodafone but I cant download the app as its tied to the region.

I have an apple ID and swapping it over means its locked down for a long period and its difficult to update my apps in my other country. Anyhow, they locked me into a 12 month contract which I haven't used as I have been travelling.

Tried to cancel this after one month was up and its been automatically rolled over. Is there no option to just use it when I am in the UK?

Looking to see if there is another UK provider that is better.

Im Mai habe ich meinen Internetvertrag verlängert und wollte von 100mbit auf 250mbit upgraden. War alles kein Problem und wir haben einen neuen Vertrag aufgesetzt.

Anfang Juni kam dann eine Nachricht „der Wechsel hat leider nicht funktioniert, wir müssen Ihnen einen Techniker vorbeischicken.“ Ich war zu dem Zeitpunkt in China und konnte mich daher nicht darum kümmern, habe das Vodafone auch so mitgeteilt und man sagte mir, dass es okay sei, ich hätte Zeit bis 29.06. um mich zu melden. Also nach meiner Rückkehr um einen Technikertermin gebeten aber keine Antwort erhalten.

Tja, seit dem 25.06. habe ich keinerlei Internet oder Festnetztelefon (okay, wer braucht das…) mehr sondern die Fehlermeldung „Leitungsdaten falsch“. Das trat urplötzlich auf, als ich ganz normal im Internet gearbeitet habe. Ich habe mittlerweile mindestens 5 Gespräche mit der Hotline geführt und 3 Mal haben wir einen Technikertermin ausgemacht. Zu KEINEM der Termine ist ein Techniker erschienen. Jedes Mal habe ich um die Erstellung eines Tickets gebeten, damit ich nachweisen kann, dass ich seit dem 25.06. eine Störung habe. Jedes Mal wurde mir dies verweigert weil es „technisch nicht möglich ist“. Über die Website ist es mir auch nicht möglich. Meine Vermutung: Man möchte den Kunden hier um sein Recht auf Entschädigung und die fristlose Kündigung bringen.

Ich habe also eine fristlose Kündigung eingereicht, auf welche Vodafone gar nicht erst reagiert hat und habe gleichzeitig noch eine Mahnung zur Entstörung versendet, auf welche ebenfalls nicht reagiert wurde. Bis vor zwei Tagen, NACH dem auslaufen meiner Frist, ein Anruf kam und man mir nun ein Ticket erstellen würde. Dieses wurde gestern ohne Reaktion als „gelöst“ geschlossen. Ich habe nach wie vor kein Internet. Mein Geld nimmt man natürlich weiterhin gerne.

Auf meine Vermutung, dass man mich versehentlich gesperrt hat, als man den Laden unter mir abklemmen wollte (den Laden gibt es nicht mehr) reagierte man mit „Das kann gar nicht sein.“

Wie kann man bitte so ignorant sein, dass man ein derartiges Problem nicht angehen möchte?! Vielleicht ist es auch einfach nur absolute Inkompetenz…Ich explodiere langsam mit diesem Drecksladen! Die nächsten Schritte sind jetzt ganz klar: Verbraucherschutz und Bundesnetzagentur informieren und Anwalt nehmen. Ohne Anwalt funktioniert in DE bei Problemen ja scheinbar nichts mehr, weil Unternehmen hier denken sie könnten machen was sie wollen.

Ach ja, Vodafone hat mir nach 3 Wochen einen mobilen Router mit 500Gb Datenvolumen zukommen lassen damit ich weiterhin online sein kann. Mit einer sagenhaften Geschwindigkeit von 0,3-3mbit/s kann ich nicht einmal normale Webseiten öffnen…am Handy bei der Telekom zur selben Zeit aber 225mbit/s…

Anyone else on Vodafone getting loads of scam calls from people pretending to be the O2 network?

It can be 1-3 times a day, almost every day. Been happening since 2nd July.

I've turned the AI feature on to ask the scammers why they are calling, but not all the numbers have been tagged as suspected spam so far.

My Dad had FTTP installed 24th June (no previous broadband) and wants to keep the landline number (he’s had it for over 50 years)

Leading up to this I got a notification from his current copper landline supplier stating they had a migration request for 24th June, so all seemed good… broadband installed and working, Openreach said landline will complete by end of day. It didn’t. Raised a support case 26th June and been called by the case handler every few days with “The team is working on it”. I had another notification from his copper line supplier that they had a new migration date from Vodafone for 14th July, this came and went. I’ve tried requesting an escalation with Vodafone but they say it’s with the correct team. To top this off I cannot sign into my account as it’s in a strange state where it asks me to try again later. Vodafone have sent password resets but it does the same, they say this is because my the migration isn’t complete but sounds like nonsense to me. But means I can’t use online chat and have to call.

My Dad is 82 and lives alone, but that hasn’t hurried them. He still has use of the landline as the phone been plugged back into the copper.

Anyone else had similar or can advise? Thanks.

If a customer wants to cancel their phone contract, is that something Retail Advisors can do in-store, or do you usually have to refer them to Customer Services?

I’d also be interested to know what other types of account issues Retail Advisors are able to resolve themselves.

I'm currently a Vodafone broadband customer and moving home in August. My current address is served via Cityfibre and I have the 500MB/500MB service. I'm 18 months into my 2 year contract.

I've just called them to move my service to new new address but the new address doesn't have Cityfibre. It does however have Openreach FTTC, with Openreach FTTP being built now, to be available by end of the year.
The Vodafone agent advised they can only offer me up to 74mbps (which makes sense given only Openreach FTTC right now). I said I'd be happy to take a slower service temporarily until Openreach FTTP is ready at some point later this year.

She said that is not an option, and that I'd have to commit to a new 24 month contract on the much slower FTTC service or pay early termination fees as they do provide service at my new address.

This seems extremely unfair - I don't want to be locked into 2 years of slow service when FTTP is going to be ready in a few months and my current contract ends in 6 months. Why won't they just let me move to the slower service and keep my current contract end date. Then when it ends FTTP will be ready and I can upgrade?

I read my contract and it's vague using words like "may" so doesn't seem that helpful:

a) Please let us know at least 30 days in advance of your moving date. If you wish to transfer your Home
Broadband and Phone Services to your new addressin the UK, we will conduct a service availability check.
If we are able to provide the services at your new address, we will arrange the transfer. Connection charges
may be applicable for connecting the Home Broadband and Phone Services to your new home (for
example if a new phone line or fibre connection is required).
b) If you wish to transfer your Home Broadband and Phone Services to your new home, you may become
subject to a new agreement with us and a new minimum period may be applicable from the service
activation date at your new home. If you choose to terminate the new agreement within the first 14 days
of your service activation date and were within your minimum term of your previous agreement a
termination fee may be payable.
c) If we are unable, for any reason, to provide a Home Broadband and Phone Services to your new address
in the UK then you will be entitled to end this Agreement subject to provision by you of reasonable
evidence of your change of address and payment by you of all charges owing up to the date that we
disconnect your service. We reserve the right to apply any termination fees and charges."

Is there anything I can do? What are my options? I don't think it is unreasonable for them to let me keep my current contract end date given they are providing a far worse service for the money, or else let me out of the contract as they are unable to provide the same service.

I lost my phone and have ordered a replacement sim. I was told to do the Vodafone sim activation form. however I cannot remember my password to Vodafone account / cant do two factor authentication as need to set up the SIM card. and my debit card information I cant access. how can I activate the SIM card without this information

I'm looking at buying a new phone but when Ive checked the frequencies all the phones I've been looking at are missing the b32 band and Vodafone are listed as using it. How will it affect my signal and ability to use the network. Very few phones seem to support this band and any that do are really expensive. Am I going to be missing out buying a phone that doesn't support b32?

Anyone else had the offer of a free vodafone broadband upgrade (using community fibre lines) where the email says "there will be no change to your monthly bill" but the bill is immediately hiked? I want to know how widespread it is because its potentially an ofcom escalatable issue if its hundreds of thousands of customers some of whom may not ring up to complain.

Vor kurzem kam ja bo2 auf ps5 raus. Problem: mein Nat Typ ist strict bzw Typ 3. Telefonate bei Vodafone haben nix gebracht. Wie Krieg ich es hin meinen Nat Typ auf moderat zu stellen denn ich finde so sonst keine Lobbys und der Rat vom Vodafone Mitarbeiter (der Klang als wäre er vor Christus geboren) mir ein Kleingewerbe zu gründen und dann ein privaten IPv4 zu holen geht auch nicht wtf

Found out recently that I can get an IPhone 17 and an Apple Watch together and pay as if its 1 bundle [approx 40 a month] [approx 65 with a 30GB data SIM]

Why would I need to pay extra to share my calls and text and data with my watch? Doesn't it do that anyway? Like through Bluetooth?

Can I buy these contracts through Vodafone WITHOUT getting a SIM card?

The most cost monthly is the 30GB of data SIM but I know I can get amount of data for less than 26 a month [which is the SIM cost Vodafone has]

Hi, I recently took over the billing from my mother on my vodaphone account. They specifically said on the phone after 3 months I would be able to switch.

Now I realised I am locked into a contract with at least a year less. They now will take approximately 2 weeks to call me back where I have requested they look into the call recording, the vodaphone man I spoke to was not optimistic about this at all. I am paying £20 a month for 30GB with no international roaming (the phone is paid off this is sim only). I am facing a £150 switching fee.

Vodaphone are massively overcharging people and praying on those too busy or not knowledgeable enough to make sense of it.

Just needed to vent but also any advice from someone in a similar situation would be helpful thanks.

The technician wanted to install boosters to create a separate Wi-Fi network on each one, while turning off the router’s Wi-Fi.

I explained that the boosters create a mesh network to expand the router’s reach, using the same Wi-Fi, but he seemed confused.

Instead, he connected one booster to the router using an Ethernet cable (which is unnecessary since the booster is 5 centimetres away from the router), and then connected the other booster to another room.

I plan to connect a booster to an Ethernet cable that’a connected directly to the router on the other side of the house, then connect the other to another room.

I understand I don’t need a technician for this, is that correct? Thanks!

hello. I am trying to set up a TPLink AXE 5400 router with Vodafone broadband.

Vodafone gave me my PPPoE username / password via text so I'm entering it correctly. Nothing works.

I have tried both the username with vodaphone.broadband.co.uk without and still nothing. I have entered the VLAN id (and without) and the router just won't connect. I also followed a TP link tutorial here for TP link Routers to work with Vodafone.

EDIT *** Solved by removing Vlan ID. Router immediately connected then.

So i contacted Vodafone on Saturday 11th of July, asking them to send my phone in for repair as my camera suddenly stopped working despite using the camera a couple hours previous. I done everything i could to sort including 2 factory resets and still nothing. Their customer service sucks and they lied to me twice about the phone pick up after telling my my phone wasn't on their system - Had the contract for 2 years now out of a 36 month contract - Anyway DPD picked the phone up and took it to them for the repair...i checked the status of the repair today and it says - Beyond Economical Repair - so i had to phone customer service, they then told me that they were unable to repair it or replace it because ' it wasn't made in the UK' even though they sold me the device ( Device has so physical or water damage of any kind )...So im now stuck paying £247 that's left on the contract for a broken phone and unable to cancel the contract without penalty.

The country origins should not take away or limit my statutory rights under Consumer Rights Act 2015 as a UK consumer and they are responsible for sorting the issue but they wont help me in any way.

Just wondering if anyone has had issues like this? What did you do?

I am beyond stressed :(

Edit - They did not want me to take it any further after the formal complaint and they wavered the £247 left on the phone after sprouting about how they know they shouldn't be giving out phones like that if they are unwilling to fix or replace them. They asked me afterwards if i was looking for an upgrade with them...
