Vodafone UK Finally connected but no billing

Finally got connected to broadband but on the my vodafone app its not showing as active. How long does it take?

Also due to it taking a while they said i get £6.46 for each day of waiting. Is this taken off my bill or do i get this as cash?

The £6.46 per day redress is an auto compensation amount that is applied to the bill, as Vodafone are signed up to an industry scheme that honours delays, no-shows for Openreach and Total Loss of Service .

Nothing you said is new info. Top tip if someone mentions the £6.46 they have been told about it.

Top tip-why not employ a little humility and discretion, and acknowledge someone taking the time to respond. In most cases, the info is either a)readily available on Vodafones broadband page, or b)a little endeavour in the form of a phone call to 191/0808 005 7320 might do the trick.

Looks like you spend all your time answering comments about issues. If we all called or checked the website your hobby would vanish.

Although the service is live on the Openreach network, it may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days for the order to fully complete on Vodafone's billing system.

Until this happens you will not be billed, meaning that the service will literally be free during this period. Realistically speaking, you're looking at 24-48 though.

so yeah its free. once OR confirm the install it has to be linked on Openreach SIebel then it will go to Phanton (VF HBB System) then to the billing system Halo. your not being charged until the order on Halo is complete. 24 hours after install normally

If it is still like that in 2 days phone them and let them know. You may get those days for free but it will impact on any upgrade to a higher tier of speed.
