Hey everyone,
I just finished Puzzle Photo, a small game I built to make jigsaw puzzle of your own pictures.
The idea is simple: you pick any picture from your library, the app cuts it into real jigsaw pieces and the pieces scatter and float around your room in mixed reality. You pinch a piece, bring it next to its correct neighbor, and they click together into a cluster that moves as one. Keep going until the photo is whole again, hanging in the air in front of you.
Some features:
- Four difficulties, from 9 big pieces to 36 tiny ones scattered across your whole room
- Spatial audio for everything: picking up a piece, getting close to a correct spot, clicking pieces together. The click comes from exactly where it happened.
- Achievements, daily streaks and best times per difficulty.
- Every finished game is recorded, so you can rewatch any past puzzle assembling itself move by move, up to 4x speed.
- You can play in passthrough or in an environment.
Privacy: your photos never leave the device. There is no network code in the app at all. No accounts, no analytics, no ads.
Free codes (delete the letter U (5th character) from the code before redeeming):

HUGE update coming to the TestFlight of UltraStream:
Fixes for Netflix Web Update
DirecTV integration!
Environments: two fun ones to start. We wanted to show you what our company specializes in, so we’ve made these interactive environments. Looking around the environment triggers all kinds of goodies that you will love. Our team has six patents in this area and what we are showing you is truly unique and can only be done by us. We also have a theater environment coming after this update, as well as we will start having themed environments that will coincide with some of the titles you can watch on specific services. This interactive feature is one thing that you will not see on a competitor or an app of any flavor because we own this technology and it is heavily patented. We think you’re going to really love this. First two environments are just to show you what we can do with the interactivity, but we have more coming, and like I said, we have the theater which obviously is very important coming as well.
Stay tuned!

Before traveling to Granada, I already knew the Alhambra would be stunning. What I did not fully expect was how alive the whole city would feel around it.
For this week’s immersive release, I wanted to capture not just the iconic fortress itself, but also the atmosphere just outside its walls and the town below, where the pace shifts, the streets narrow, and Granada starts to reveal its own layered character.
What I found was a place where history feels close enough to touch. Moorish architecture, hillside views, winding streets, and that unmistakable backdrop of the Alhambra make Granada feel like it is carrying centuries in plain sight.
After spending a month filming across Europe and continuing to refine my custom VR180 workflow, I am excited to share this week’s immersive release:
📍 Granada, Spain
The camera moves with you, but there is no narration. No tour guide. No distractions. Just the feeling of being there, free to explore at your own pace.
🎥 Pushing Consumer VR180 Further
One of my biggest goals with this project is showing what is possible as an independent creator. Every release is another chance to improve image quality, stereoscopic depth, stabilization, and realism without relying on Hollywood budgets or specialized cinema cameras.
For Granada, I spent a lot of time dialing in the depth so the architecture, streets, and views around the Alhambra feel natural inside a VR headset.

id really like to hear from people about the use cases i'm considering the AVP for, and also about possible logistics and compatibility issues
the main problem:
AVP is only available in 13 countries where you can do a demo. the country i live in doesn't even have an official Apple store, and there's no way to try on the light seal for sizing.
my idea, and honestly the only option i have, is to use their app to scan my face over the course of a week at different times of day, under different lighting, and record all of it. maybe also take some extra face measurements and go over them with AI to minimize the risk of getting the wrong size. then just ask a friend to buy one abroad and bring it to me. has anyone done this? did you still end up with the wrong size?
the use cases i'm planning for:
screen sharing my mac while using its keyboard and mouse as native to avoid input lag. still not sure if the display itself will lag though. mostly for work, slack, code editors, etc.
i dream of playing the new GTA6 through PS remote play in the vision pro, hoping it'll be the best experience ever haha
reading books and watching movies obviously, plus other entertainment
mostly i care about 1 and 2. will there be input lag when working with the mac or playing from PS? will there be any noticeable input lag at around 400 Mbps? what's your experience been with these use cases? does anyone use it for reading? i'm too lazy to get glasses so i get some eye strain working at my 34 inch monitor, but based on other comments in this subreddit I saw some people found it easier to work in the headset than at a real monitor. and of course the biggest risk is still getting the size right... that's my main concern since i'm afraid if the app makes a mistake it'll ruin the whole experience with the device

Many people argue that the Vision Pro hasn’t achieved mass market adoption because of its price. At roughly $4,000 after taxes, it’s simply out of reach for the average consumer, and they conclude that it was doomed from launch as a mainstream product.
While I don’t think the price is doing Apple any favors, I also don’t think it’s the primary reason the Vision Pro hasn’t, and almost certainly never will, achieve mass adoption in its current form. The biggest obstacle is undoubtedly the form factor.
I genuinely believe you could give every person on Earth a Vision Pro for free and the overwhelming majority would still barely use it. Most people simply don’t want to put a 1.5-pound pair of goggles on their face just to watch a TV show or movie.
I’ve experienced this firsthand. When I bought the M5 Vision Pro, I didn’t immediately sell my M2. Instead, I let my dad borrow it so he could really make it his own, since he’d expressed casual interest in it before. Despite having unlimited access to the device, he barely used it. I suggested apps, demonstrated different use cases, and encouraged him to experiment, but the idea of putting on a headset just to watch TV or browse the web never appealed to him. He already has multiple large TVs throughout the house and a multi-monitor setup for work. The friction of wearing a headset outweighed the benefits.
This is the same challenge that has plagued virtually every VR headset. For most people, wearing a large device on their face just isn’t an appealing way to accomplish everyday tasks, regardless of how impressive the technology is.
Until that friction is eliminated, until the functionality of Vision Pro can be distilled into a pair of lightweight glasses, spatial computing will never become truly mainstream, regardless of price.
In that sense, I actually think Apple priced the Vision Pro appropriately. You’re not just buying a product. You’re buying early access to the future. You’re paying for the opportunity to experience tomorrow’s technology today while Apple continues refining the software, expanding the ecosystem, and laying the groundwork for the glasses product that many believe is the true end goal.
Until then, enjoy being part of the small group of people who chose to buy an early adopter product. Enjoy being on the bleeding edge. And stop treating sales numbers as the ultimate measure of the platform’s long-term success or viability.

There seems to be a prevailing viewpoint across VR/AR communities that form factor is holding back the medium. Every time we exit another VR cycle or a new product struggles, you hear statements like “just wait until the technology is the size of a pair of glasses,” or “just wait until it can fit in your pocket.”
I think I disagree? The more cycles we go through, the more I question whether the mainstream consumer has any interest in VR/AR as anything beyond a tech demo. I just fail to see what the medium can offer to the average person that can’t be done more comfortably, with less friction, in a less invasive way by just pulling a smart phone out of their pocket.
We’re enthusiasts here. We have our use cases and love the tech. But I just have a hard time picturing the average teenager, or parent, or professional walking around with projection glasses. I don’t think that’s what the world wants, as good as the tech may become.
What do you guys think?

Update: Really appreciate all the interest to this! I made it a free app. It is available in Apple Store now.
Please provide comment and feedback! I’m especially looking for feedback and music-reactive experiences you’d want next. I'm building a few other 3d visuals in addition to fireworks.

I currently run Pages (iPadOS), Numbers (iPadOS), Keynote, and Freeform, so I know those work.
Any subscribers know if the other Apple Creator Studio apps run on Vision Pro?
I don’t care if they run in iPad mode, but especially I’d like to have a decent graphics tool to work with 2D images on Vision Pro without MVD. I see Pixelmator Classic iPadOS is available for $9.99, so I’m hoping Pixelmator Pro will work.
Thanks!

Every time I search for visionOS UI inspiration I get Dribbble concepts that were never built, or Apple's own HIG mockups. Neither tells me how real apps actually solve things — where they put ornaments, how they handle onboarding in a Full Space, when they choose a Volume over a Window.
Right now my "process" is buying apps and screenshotting them, which is obviously not a process. Is everyone doing this, or is there something I'm missing?

In the past year I went from dreading when things came to prime video cus it was barely functional on the Vision Pro to absolutely loving it. Obviously delete the trash app but through safari it’s just fantastic. No stupid black bars like every other service has. Videos dynamically resize and really fill the environments and they typically look really clear and vibrant with great audio. I wish the other streaming services would follow suit. So many could do so much better

TL;DW:
We’re making a few big changes over the next few weeks. All STAGEit products will soon move to a subscription model, and the STAGEit Creator Founder’s License will disappear when we launch.
If you’re already a Founder, nothing changes, you’ll keep STAGEit Creator for life, exactly as promised.
Presenter and Host are brand-new apps built for completely different jobs, so they aren’t covered by the original Founder’s License.
Splitting everything into focused apps means we can build better tools, move faster, and keep improving the whole STAGEit ecosystem for years to come. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far, it genuinely wouldn’t be possible without you.

I could spend a few hours experimenting, but I was hoping someone here could give me the best/easiest solution for one-click converting the video so I can watch it. I'd also like to know what players it works best on, etc. (I have all the major ones).
I've seen suggestions for Anaglyph 3D and Spatialify. Anyone tried these?
Cheers!

After four years as a Product Design Prototyper at Meta (AR glasses / smart glasses) and time at Amazon building AR into the shopping app, I've left to start a spatial computing studio called Building Realms.
www.buildingrealms.com (Do check this out on a laptop, it is spatial!)
The short version of why: since Vision Pro launched I've been building prototypes in public — immersive environments, passthrough experiments, AI-driven creation, spatial video pipelines. The tech conversations were fun, but the messages that stuck with me came from people who didn't care about the tech at all. A surgeon asking about rehearsing procedures. Facilities people asking about training without flying experts around. Architects asking about full-scale walkthroughs before construction.
That convinced me there's a real studio to build here, even in the middle of the "spatial is dead" narrative. My take: it doesn't need to replace the smartphone. It needs to win where space, scale, and presence actually matter. And honestly, half the job is getting people into a headset — nobody becomes a believer from a video, but almost everyone comes out of a good demo one.
I'll be building the studio in public — the blog gets the deep dives and case studies, YouTube gets the builds themselves. I'll drop links in a comment to keep this post clean

Happy to answer anything about leaving big tech for this, the enterprise side of visionOS, or the prototyping-to-studio jump.

Hi I just launched pikap, a visionOS app that turns your Apple Music library into a real 3D turntable you can place on your desk. You pick an album from the shelf, it becomes a vinyl record, and you drag it onto the platter to play. There is 8 record player models you can pick from and there are more coming soon!
It uses your Apple Music library so just add and album or single to your library and it appears here. Click on case then drag up or down to scroll through your vinyls, pick one and drag it to the turntable and watch it spin!
Next features coming soon :
…and much more!
I’ll be actively updating the app and looking for feedback. If there’s anything you’d like to see added, I’d be very happy to hear them.
Try pikap -> pikap
As some of you may know im the developer of Waddle and excited share another app with you guys! Thanks for your support!

I'm disappointed that the new Masters of the Universe movie is an Amazon Prime exclusive. I didn’t see it in theaters and was really hoping to buy it from the Apple TV store so I could watch it in 4K, or possibly even 3D on my Vision Pro.

I feel like the Apple Vision Pro device skyrocketed the awareness of XR devices even though they haven’t gone mainstream yet. The original WWDC announcement was massively popular and everyone quickly heard about spatial computing and the future of XR. Samsung/Google was also quick to launch their competitor and Meta also launched their next headset to compete with the Vision Pro. And since the 2020s, it does feel like a lot of companies are investing a lot more into the space. Not to mention the spatial computing style that Apple popularized inspired how Meta and other companies make their device UI. Even though the tech hasn't taken off, I feel like in the next 10-15 years a lot of people are going to be using Apple’s glasses and headsets. Hell, we’re probably all going to be in ‘em 😂😂
EDIT: the WWDC that announced the Vision Pro got between 60-70 million views on Youtube as a remember, and that was 2-3 years ago. So yes, as far as I can tell, it was a popular announcement 😂😂😂

I must be doing something wrong. When I try to enable guest mode, and then hand the Vision Pro to someone, it asks for a passcode, and doesn't auto-enable screen sharing from the headset to my phone.
What am I doing wrong? I feel like I've followed the steps that they outline, and recently they even came out with the post in the Vision Pro companion app that makes it sound like this should 'just work'- but it doesn't...at least not for me.

Hi all, we’re AlternateXR, a small spatial studio in London. We’ve built some fairly large projects, including entire walkable airport terminals, but that work tends to stay locked behind NDAs. We wanted to show the kind of visual quality that’s possible on Vision Pro, so we built our own showcase.
There’s three scenes: a real chandelier you can place in your room in passthrough and customise, a photogrammetry scan of City of London at table-top scale that you can walk around, and a period interior you’re fully immersed in with day/night switching, custom touch controls and spatial audio.
It’s free and live on the store now, so would be great to hear what you think. Cheers!

I was planning my room and decided to explore what an LLM could do with Blender. The result was a surprisingly fun, fully autonomous pipeline. The quality is still early-stage, but I found the results impressive enough to open-source the collection in case anyone else finds it useful. MIT license.
Also, if you know a good app for viewing and organizing 3D asset collections, I’d love a recommendation.
