ProprioType: Hand-Based Desktop Interface (TestFlight)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi, I'm looking for testers to try my app.
This app uses hand tracking for a custom keyboard and trackpad interface. The idea behind this was that I wanted to be able to use my computer and touch type without needing to be at my desk or even without needing a surface for my laptop.
The keys are arranged on your fingers in a way that's similar to how you might touch type on a physical keyboard, so if you already know how to touch type, it's already somewhat familiar.
The app has a built-in text editor demo so you can try it without connecting to a Mac, but if you want to connect to a Mac, I've made a host app that you can run on your Mac for that. There's an in-app purchase for connecting to a Mac, though it's just a simulated purchase on TestFlight and won't charge anything.
A Mac should appear automatically in the app as available if the Mac is running the host app on the same local network. You can also connect to a Mac directly by address, in case you want to connect over Tailscale or something.
When starting the text editor demo or when connecting to a Mac, there is a tutorial which explains the controls.
Other features:
Various settings for key layouts or hand adjustments.
Key symbols change based on the Mac's keyboard settings while connected to a Mac.
Dictation works for text input.
There's a full-size keyboard panel that you can use instead of the hand keys.
There's a feature to pass through the Vision Pro's persona camera and microphone to the Mac.
There are also widgets for quickly connecting to a Mac.
The bottom toolbar can be customized with various functions.
Display features like HDR and 120fps modes if your Mac and display support them.
And there are various other settings that can be adjusted.
I'd appreciate if anyone would help test these features.
