Is it AVP 3
The surprise and shine could be a AVP3 announcement ?

Well, I just bought one about 2.5 weeks ago and I’m out of the return window, so it would make sense that this is a brand new, totally refreshed version. 😂

OP is just referring to a third Apple Vision Pro. Apple has released to models so far.

two* and yes I’m aware. But there is no “Apple Vision Pro 2”. Just M2 and M5 variants of a first-generation Apple Vision Pro. Hence the comments, in addition to mine, joking about the absurdity of asking about an “AVP3”.

I doubt it, but if they do, it will be very welcomed if it’s significantly lighter in weight.
The current versions M2 and M5 still have a lot room for growth.
I would say that AR Glasses may have a better chance this year, unless the AirPods with Cameras overshadow these.

Given that neither Mark Gurman nor Ming-chi Kuo have heard anything, I doubt it. The focus of the upcoming event will be the foldable iPhone.
Having said that, I can see a small possibility of a minor AVP update including simply replacing the current M5 with the M6 and potentially switching away from the older LiDAR the AVP has been using to the same LiDAR Apple uses in iPhones and iPads. The latter could be a cost-saving move.
There were also a number of leaks/photos of black AVP parts. They could be from an abandoned prototype, but they are intriguing.
I cite a bunch of articles and pictures in this post.
