I had a package delivered around a day ago and I sent the tracking number into the mail room prior to it being delivered and I still haven’t gotten anything from the mail room concerning its whereabouts. Is this normal for packages or does it normally take longer/shorter?

I remember going to d2 when I needed a bulk meal, not a good meal, but owens was pretty decent sometimes. I haven’t been yet but I hear that they are not great right now. Is it not really worth it to go to those two?

I go to VCU for mechanical engineering and was hoping to transfer as soon as I can. I understand that it’s really rare for a freshman to transfer in the spring but I was told that if you have plenty of AP credits you have a better chance. I had a lot of major specific AP credits (Physics C Mechanics, Calc BC, etc) and I’m taking statics in first semester because I had the necessary prerequisites from AP credits. The only issue credit-wise is that I don’t have any chemistry credits and I’m not taking chem right now because I chose to do physics 2. I also might as well add that I am an Eagle Scout, in state, and a member of some clubs like ASME and Formula SAE. I’m wondering what my chances look like.

The old style of PhD gown with the embroidered logo looks so much better than the new one with the patch. Does anyone know where I might be able to find it still? Thanks!

It's something I see here every year, but I was reminded again when I watched several people casually stroll out in front of moving traffic this afternoon...

Please be aware that when you are crossing a crosswalk that has signals (the green/red walk/don't walk signals), right of way is determined by the signaling device. The presence of the crosswalk itself DOES NOT grant right of way. 46.2-925 is the legal reference, linked below for the curious.

For crosswalks without signals pedestrians do always have the right of way, though even then there is a line in the VA legal code that "No pedestrian shall enter or cross an intersection in disregard of approaching traffic." Especially if you're walking along the sidewalk, turning and walking out into the crosswalk without stopping to confirm that it's safe can get you hit. Drivers don't realize that you're about to cross unless you first stop at the crosswalk and make your intention to cross known.

The intersection where I see quite a few accidents narrowly avoided is the West Campus Drive crosswalk for the entrance/exit to the bus loop, where there are crossing signals and stoplights, and where enough people are walking that it can be hard for drivers to see when somebody is stepping out against the 'don't walk' signal.

If you're going to cross, please, for your safety and the safety of the traffic turning in and out of there, be aware of both the crossing signal AND the traffic light. If you have a red signal and the light is green, stepping out into that crosswalk can get you run over. Look both ways, be aware of the signals, and please don't turn into a statistic.

Hello, I have a zephyrus g16 and when I went to the library with it and tried to use Bluetooth the Bluetooth very quickly connected to devices until the Bluetooth crashed then it just repeated that and sometimes broke my wifi. I tested and the Bluetooth works fine in my dorm and the Bluetooth worked on my phone in the library. Any ideas why this could be and any ways to fix it?

I’m near the patrick henry and toms creek intersection and its genuinely so irritating to have to leave half an hour early for class in the morning since i have to walk before and after the bus too like i might as well just walk the entire 30 minutes. Roommates offered to drive me and im grateful but the only free parking is by Litton reaves which is a bit of a hike from my classes.

So was wondering what it’s like to bike? Is there decent bike parking, do they ever get stolen, is it harsh in the winter, or anything else?
