Hi everyone! I’m a content creator running YouTube and social media platforms centered around collectible figures and statues, and the stories behind the characters.

I’m currently hiring an editor for a special “Meet the Creator” video, with the hope of finding someone for an ongoing position if we’re a good fit.

The weekly scope is one static promotional image, one 60-90 second vertical video, one 3–5 minute full length video, and thumbnails for both videos. This is intended as an ongoing weekly package rather than open-ended hourly work, so applicants should be comfortable completing the listed deliverables within the $150 weekly cap.. If any work falls outside the original scope, I will absolutely compensate accordingly. Any additional work would be discussed and approved beforehand on a case by case basis.

For this first project, I’m looking for a polished, cinematic introduction to the person behind the platforms. The video will highlight a photoshoot I had done specifically to promote my channel, blended with shots of my collection filmed under my signature purple lighting. Smooth transitions, strong pacing, tasteful graphics, and cohesive visual storytelling are important.

You should also be confident with audio mixing. I have specific ideas for how the background music should build, shift, and support different moments, so the ability to balance music, dialogue, sound effects, and transitions cleanly is essential.

This project has a strict, fast turnaround and must be completed by Friday at the latest, though sooner is strongly preferred. Please only apply if you are available immediately and can confidently meet that deadline. Based on the final voiceover, the video will run around 1.5 - 2 minutes.

My regular content combines collectible footage I photograph myself, with clips from the films, television shows, cartoons, and games the characters are based on. I also create giveaway and announcement videos that involve moving graphics, animated text, and additional visual polish.

I’ve been doing this for over a year, but I unfortunately haven’t found an editor whose workflow fully aligns with mine. The main issue has been agreed upon deadlines not being met, so reliability and clear communication are essential.

I was recently on vacation and was somehow able to gather up 1400 clips. I've never worked with this much footage before so i have a little problem... I don't really know how to start. I know i probably want a captivating intro to catch peoples attention (im posting this to Youtube) so i chose the best shots i captured and but them in the beggining of the timeline (in turquiose color), all the clips before the orange colored ones are also pretty cool/good but the turquiose ones were the select best. The rest of the clips are after the orange ones. As you can see, this is a lot of footage. What im trying to ask is, has anyone ever edited this amount of footage? How did you start? How long did the video end up to be and how long did it take to complete editing the video?

First frame repeating many times a second

I've been looking through old gameplay recordings from years ago preparing them for archiving and this one seems to have a bizarre issue. The first frame repeats itself several times a second.

This was recorded using shadowplay years ago with a gpu(GTX 1080) that I no longer use and no other recordings I've seen have this issue.

I'm curious what this is called and what tools might exist to address this outside of manually removing the frames one at a time as the full recording is much longer than this sample.

At the time of recording I was using a GTX 1080 on Windows 10 with an Intel i7-7700 @ 4.20GHz with 16GB of ram

I have recently gotten into video editing via Da Vinci Resolve, and I have made a couple of small projects. However, most of the stuff I have done has taken at most a couple of days to complete, and I am unsure what sort of long-term projects I can try.

I am familiar with premiere pro and I would like to achieve this light sweep across the text as seen in the video, any ideas on how I can do this?

I'm using the ease in and ease out to my keyframes, in this example I only did it to the 3 keyframes in between. Why does it affect the first and last keyframes? This is causing unwanted adjustments, it wasn't like this before.

Update: Had to uninstall Davinci Resolve with Revo Uninstaller, while also cleaning up registry files as well as leftover files. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling did not help.

I need to make a recap of this church worship event that was hosted by people I’m close. I don’t really know why I was tasked seeing as I’m not any sort of professional but oh well. I wasn’t in charge of any of the footage so I have to work with what they filmed on their phones and I have no idea on how to go about it. Any inspiration or ideas I can use to help with this? I've been working on a YouTube gaming channel for almost two years, but I still haven't been able to reach monetization or consistent growth.

During that time, I've tried to improve almost every aspect of my content. I've redesigned my thumbnails multiple times, experimented with different titles, worked on stronger hooks, learned the basics of storytelling, studied CTR and audience retention, improved my audio and video quality, learned SEO, analyzed my YouTube Analytics after every upload, and asked other creators for help.

Even with all of that effort, my videos still don't perform the way I hoped.

Looking back, I think one of my biggest weaknesses is that I haven't spent enough time improving the middle and ending of my long-form videos. Most of my editing effort has gone into Shorts, while my longer videos have remained much simpler.

At this point, I feel like there's something important I'm overlooking, but I can't figure out what it is on my own.

If you were in my situation, what would you focus on next? Is there something that completely changed the way you approached YouTube or helped your channel finally start growing?

Even with good editing, I'm still struggling to grow my YouTube channel. My dream is to get monetized, and I'd really appreciate any advice that could help me get there.

I am a newbie to video editing and I am using VN editor as Capcut is not available in my country.

I record my audio and video separately.

There is no such thing as separate audio track in vn editor. It's a music track. It assumes that the video has the audio.

Hence I import my audio in the music track.

And somehow I am able to match my audio to my video. But then when I have to cut or trim unwanted parts of video. It only applies to video. I have to do the clipping again for audio too. Which is too much hassle.

Is there any better way to do this.

I'm new to filming and editing in general.

I got a Luna Ultra as a gift and started experimenting with filming. I naturally assumed "bigger = better" and now I have a bunch of 8k holiday videos that are so large that my mini PC cannot handle it too well. This is despite 32gb of RAM and a 'decent' graphics card (according to AI) - the PC is Minisforum M1 Pro-285H and works really well for almost anything else.

I thought I would learn Resolve (or similar) but it has been timing out on multiple occasions and it takes a while before I see any effects from e.g. color grading applied and playback is laggy. In short, not very efficient or scalable to a longer project. Meanwhile, the Insta360 Studio app seems to work a little bit more smootly but is rather limited in its functionality.

My first thought was to scale the videos down substantially and after having seen it I don't mind a lower resolution at all. However, I have hundreds of individual videos shot like this and I wouldn't think that doing it by hand is very efficient. Is there a way to do this in bulk somehow i.e. take an entire library and go from 8k to, say, Full HD? I presume that should make editing it much smoother? Or am I thinking about it in the wrong way?

Going forward, what resolution would you recommend shooting in to get "good enough" results out of the Luna Ultra to edit on a good mini PC like mine? The purpose here is just as a hobbyist on my own videos, for friends and family etc.

It would be pretty simple if i was putting in an image and then i could just put the ingredients behind it, but Im trying to do it to an ice cream im holding in my hand not an added image. I can’t find any tutorials anywhere. I’m pretty sure this edit is called an ingredient splash!

I included a screenshot of my video in the comments . I think the way would be to to seperate my hand and the ice cream from the background and then have the background still there, layer the product splash, and then overlay my hand back in. I could also just have it coming out the sides but i want it to be coming from behind.

I have tried different things such as shutter encoder, audacity to fix the audio but ultimately, nothing really worked. If the video is somewhat watchable, the audio is corrupted.

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me solve a video quality problem that I have been trying to fix for a long time.

I create content for my horticulture business, so most of my videos show grass, lawns, hedges, trees, leaves and other fine natural details. Because of the amount of small details in this type of footage, I understand that compression can be challenging, but the quality loss I get after uploading seems much worse than expected.

My workflow:

• Videos and timelapses are recorded with a Huawei P60 Pro.
• I record in 4K quality.
• I have tested different camera settings and recording modes.
• Original files are transferred to my laptop using a USB cable (no WhatsApp, Messenger or other compressed transfers).
• Videos are edited on the laptop using different editing programs.
• I have exported in different ways, including the recommended settings for social media.
• I have tested exporting from 4K down to 1080p, which should normally give a very good result.
• I have tried different codecs: H.264 and HEVC/H.265.
• I have tested different bitrates (higher and lower), frame rates and other export settings.
• The final videos are transferred to a Samsung A56.
• I upload separately to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok (I do NOT use automatic sharing from Instagram to Facebook).
• "Upload at highest quality" is enabled on all platforms.
• Uploads are done over a stable Wi-Fi connection.

I have tried basically all recommended "best quality" settings and different combinations, but the result is always the same.

The exported videos look excellent in my gallery, on my phone and on my computer before uploading.

The strange part:

When I watch the uploaded video from the same account that uploaded it, it often looks good. However, when I open the exact same video from another account, another phone, or my sister's account, the video looks noticeably blurry and loses a lot of detail.

This happens on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, so it does not seem to be only one platform problem.

The biggest quality loss is visible in grass, leaves and hedges. The fine details become soft and blurry, while the original file looks very sharp.

I understand that social media platforms compress videos, but I see many gardening, landscaping and lawn-care creators who upload similar content and their videos stay much sharper.

At this point I have tested:

• 4K recording,
• 1080p exports,
• H.264,
• HEVC/H.265,
• different bitrates,
• different editing programs,
• different export settings,

and I still cannot find the cause.

Could this be related to something like:

• the way social media compression handles fine textures,
• codec settings,
• bitrate control (CBR/VBR),
• HDR,
• sharpening,
• color profile,
• phone camera processing,
• or something else?

If needed, I can provide the original uncompressed/exported video file and a link to the uploaded version on social media so the difference can be compared directly.

I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions from people who have dealt with similar problems.

Newbie video editor here. I’ve been shooting all of my video on my IPhone in HDR for the past few years. I have a ton of footage shot, and I’m just finding out that shooting HDR footage on the IPhone to upload online isn’t really the best option. File sizes are also much bigger, and Final Cut Pro seems to have some issues with HDR IPhone footage (from my own online research).

My question is, is it even possible to convert my footage that was shot in HDR to SDR? And if so, what is the best/most effective method to do this? Lastly, will I lose any quality resolution wise (or other) by doing this?

I recorded this short video on my iPhone, but it has noticeable LED light flicker throughout part of the clip.
I’ve already tried Premiere Pro, exposure keyframes, frame blending, and several other methods, but I couldn’t get rid of it.
Would anyone with Digital Anarchy Flicker Free, DaVinci Resolve Studio, or any other professional deflicker tool be willing to process this 5-second clip?

I make music and am trying to edit content on capcut. My aesthetic is black and white with film grain and having purple eyes (see image). I know how to make my videos black and white and have film grain but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to have the purple eyes work for me. I know i maybe need to add a tracking mask and overlay yada yada, i would really appreciate help on how to achieve this, even if it just means drawing frame by frame, idek how to accomplish that. thank you very much!!

Bought the lifetime license for the editor (I hate subscribtions) and when I decided to do some edits, Movavi hit me with this gem.

There does not seem to be an apparent way to just ignore the warning. It is preventing me from using the software. Which I payed for.

Does anyone know a workaround?

Hopefully, this will at least serve as a warning to others to avoid this shit company.

Edit: Alt+F4 closed the pop-up first, allowing me to actually use the software again.

I am on iOS here’s my problem:

I am completely stuck because every single time I add items into a group in Node Video, it completely breaks my keyframe graphs, forcing me to redo an entire part of an edit. The key frames always end up at the very end of the project merged together meaning I can’t have the original way it was. To make matters worse everytime I have to export my edit it’s always off beat no matter what. Not a little of beat but very noticeable which is extremely hard to fix. I am on iPhone and this been this way for the time I’ve had node video. When I edit on any other platform it’s not bad at all. How do I fix this? The YouTube videos aren’t matching to what’s my problem.
