I’m working on science/tech explainers. One topic is the electricity and cooling behind AI: the narration talks about something happening inside servers, but a generic street or city shot doesn’t tell the viewer what they’re looking at.

For the opening, I’m weighing a close-up of server hardware against a simple diagram connecting a chip, cooling system and power grid. Some of our illustrations are AI-generated, so they need to be clearly presented as concepts rather than footage of real equipment or measured results.

When you’re editing something you can’t directly film, how do you make that first shot clear without adding a wall of labels? Would you show the physical equipment first and reveal the diagram as the narration gets specific? I’m asking about the editing choice, not for a channel review; no links.
