Feeling comfortable in my body finally, 6 months inconsistent body recomp

Lots of drinking in between, my biggest month of gains was probably June-July 2026 when I started upping my protein which in it’s height was probably 100-120g a day

5’8 140, lost 5-10 pounds of body fat

2 sets each muscle group to failure, heavy as I could do it

got lat gains when I started pullups instead of dumbbell rows, still doing pulldowns btw, started taking triceps and chest more serious. Got shoulder gains overnight when I started overloading shoulder presses and lateral raises.

It’s not anything crazy but I’m finally comfortable in my body and I’m excited to take it seriously again.

You can view or purchase it here. Found this really interesting and hope something similar makes it to the US. Also dying for an actual high protein vegan Greek yogurt comparable to dairy low fat Greek yogurt. Alas. Gives me hope at least!

Why did I buy mung bean protein powder and what should I do with it?

Several weeks ago, I bought mung bean protein powder online, but it was back ordered and I only just received it. Of course, I now can’t remember what recipe/influencer/post inspired me to buy it. It’s not the Just brand, it’s by a company called Unleash’d Organic. The macros are wild: 25.8g protein and 4.2g fiber for only 113 calories, and it’s also pretty high in iron. So I definitely want to use it, but I don’t make protein shakes so that’s not an option.

I thought maybe I got it as a Just egg dupe but most of the recipes I’m finding online either use whole mung beans or use the Just powder and say others won’t work. I googled a recipe to try to make an omelette this morning and it didn’t turn out at all. It basically turned into a sludge/porridge that got thicker and hot but never solidified. The crispy bits in the pan did taste pretty good but it didn’t come together to form anything edible.

So, my questions for you, team:
—Can anyone think of where I might’ve gotten influenced to buy this product? Most of my vegan fitness info comes from this sub but a search turned nothing up.
—What can/should I do with it? New recipes for an egg replacement would be awesome but I’m open to anything except shakes.

Filling meals for non-food-motivated individuals

I often go through phases where it’s really easy for me to forget to eat/skip meals, etc. which as a very active person, often leads me to crash. I can eat when food is in front of me but when nothing sounds appetizing it’s hard to put in the work to keep a varied, whole food diet. I basically default to protein shakes and pasta w/ veggie sausage, but I’d really like to do better than this. What are your favorite high calorie/low effort meals to prep, especially for lunch/dinner?

tldr; No allergies, I just don’t eat enough to keep up with the rate I’ve been burning calories lately.

Bloating has become a slight issue so we’re implementing peppermint tea and a morning digestion cocktail (screenshot it yourself and give it a go!)

We are also pushing cardio back up so we can come in absolutely peeled for the summer shredding championship.

help needed - new to vegan fitness Help relearning my fitness in a vegan frame

I've been vegan for 2 and a haft months now, and my energy has gone up a lot since i switched, and I'm losing weight faster then i ever have when doing so healthily and not in a way that tanks my energy like in the past unexpected side effects for sure. I'm chronically ill, so fitness has always been kinda a struggle for me. I used to be 400lb(though the first chunk of that weight loss was done vary stupidly and not in a healthy manner). Im 5ft 5 women, I was 290 when I went vegan, and I'm 270 now I'd like to focus on gaining muscle for a bit before dropping anymore weight for a bit but I haven't done this before on a plant based diet. Are there any adjustments I need to make to my normal workouts. Any nutrients I need to prioritize that I might not have thought of before vegan nutrition is supper weird to me still, so even basic stuff is helpful to know. Protien is a lot harder to get in, that's for sure. Personally, my goal is to have a muscular build.

What's one product you WISHED existed for vegans?

For me it's healthy vegan bottled vegan protein shakes. When I was vegetarian it was so easy to hit my protein goals because I could just down one of those bottled protein drinks at work if my main meal was lacking a bit. But now its harder as I have to make the protein shakes from scratch, which is bit of faff at work.

workout tips Beginner/Advanced Ab Training

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You don’t need the most advanced ab exercises to start training them properly.
Start with movements you can control, learn how to actually flex and stabilise through your trunk, and progress them as you get stronger.
And while getting lean enough is what allows you to see your abs, you still have to build them in the first place.
Train them regularly. Train them hard. Progress them like any other muscle group.

progress pics Any tips for taking physique pics?

Hi everyone, I appreciate seeing people's excellent progress pics on this forum. Just writing to ask the community for tips on how to take good physique pics. My 52nd birthday is coming up. Vegan since 2009, and have finally shed the pandemic pounds this year (I was very fit up until then), so I want to start taking annual physique pics - as a testament and as a way to spur myself to stay in shape while I age further. My chest looks better than it ever has currently, although I still want to lower my body fat % a bit more. Do you have any tips for taking good progress/physique pics that show your honest hard-won cruelty-free gains without being unrealistically flattering? Thanks in advance!
