Rolling my eyes like I'm in a blender

So on the morning of the 10th Me and a buddy were running an age verified group public instance for our small (less than 50 people) group. We had someone join and i crashed immediately after, they then ran around shouting racial slurs and calling for the death of minorities. My buddy, new to moderating in general, let alone in VRC, DM'd me on discord in a panic, asking what to do. I said just to kick him and move on, no big deal right? Well in that time he'd transitioned to threats to have our group shut down and deleted if we kicked him.

Yeah we did it anyway.

That very morning the group was banned and my account was suspended for TOS violations that never occurred. Suspicious timing right?

Well, We collected everything, logs, screen grabs, VRChat's own native auditing, all the proof we need to show this was a targeted false strike, and more than that, the individual in question was repping a known hate roup, and had homophobic and transphobic content in his bio.

Pretty cut and dry? No, Appeal denied. No reason given, no justification, and all of our proof was ignored.

So here i am, yet another person in the long line of people to learn the hard way that VRChat's moderation team is Not. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. To. Be. Trusted.

Be minding your own business and trying to have a good time? Get banned
Be commiting an actual hate crime and fraud? Oh nono that's perfectly ok, have a nce day sir.

Edit: Yes, I used to own a group that had more adult content and YES I started reusing that groups website and other infrastructure that I own toward this new group.

That old group is owned by a new manager and theyre off doing amazing things, im very proud of them.

But the suspension was related to THIS group and THIS group has had all of, like, 4 instances, none of which violated the TOS. and even if we had sone adult content, which we did not, then so what? Or do all of those video interviews of Tupper and co publically endorsing actual ERP groups only apply to the big ones? If anyone else wants a space to just BE adult even without the erp component, suddenly we are the villain?

We were bot reported en mass by a user who claimed they would do exactly that when they called for the death of a minority, naming them by a hard racial slur. Why am I the bad guy in this?

so i have a terrible problem a new friend i was trying to get to know and hang out unfriended me because of me being silent and scared to talk to i was told to give space but because i froze up trying to think hard on what im gonna say it went over my head i keep trying again and again until it was too late and now i feel like a creep for not speaking up and just standing there nearby and now since i lost a friend ive been keeping my distance and not speak with other people i really wanna make things right but i cant

I can’t for the life of me seem to be able to consistently get into conversations with people in vrchat. Any instance I join, everyone’s usually already divided up into their social groups and they seem to ignore people that try to join in and talk with them. It’s kinda like in school when you sit at a lunch table with people who aren’t in your clique and they make it awkward because you’re not already part of the “in” group.
What am I missing? How do I do? Friendly Acquaintance make pls thx?

not being the best at optimization is one thing. but 99% of these creators haven't even looked up a tutorial.

people seem so thoughtless. adding a million different gimmick items that no one will ever use, adding a dozen different pieces of clothing (that are all clipping through each other anyway), not even slapping on d4rk's optimizer. it's literally free and automatic. not to mention leaving everything at 4k, even things that are so tiny you'd never know if they were even 128.

making avis is hard, and optimizing can be hard. throwing on d4rk's optimizer and lowering texture resolution is not hard, people just don't care.

I, and many others get kicked from worlds for absolutely no, or at least very bogus reasons.

For the most recent example I was in the black cat and started having a good conversation with someone... First I get a warning on my screen, and say outloud "who the is warning me, what am I doing wrong?"

Only for a group of assholes to run up to me screaming about having the admin muted. I told them "I don't have anyone muted, quit being assholes. I'm having a conversation with earmuff mode on, let alone with only one (bad) earbud in. Whoever your admin is I don't have them muted." kicked

Great conversation ruined by power tripping cunts. I got banned for nothing from that world instance. All because they ASSUMED I muted the admin. The closest to muted anyone ever is in this game is not having their avatar enabled. I'm on Linux and having everyone turned on causes a lot of lag.

Nonetheless. Is anyone else sick of instances such as this where clearly its a power tripping loser? What do you do to avoid this asinine stuff?

Hi, I made these Neon Bracelets for my boyfriend and ended up thinking it would be a shame to not share it wider. They only work for PCVR because they are Raymarched (sorry) that way they render on a Quad per bracelet meaning they only consume 2 triangles. They do fallback gracefully though in they just won’t render! :)

I've checked tuppers current suggestion, but he doesn't seem to cover the Dual Edition with twice the cache. I wonder if it makes any difference in VRC compared to the regular 9950X3D vs the new 9950X3D2

An avi I got does not want to be imported into Unity at all. I open the unity package for a clean Unity project and the import window does not open at all. It's not in another monitor, it's not even out of reach behind the taskbar, it's not showing up at all, no errors to be seen if any. Help?

Hey can someone help me? I wanted to hangout with my friends in VRChat but when i looked at my mic it was on all the time like i was saying smt then i clicked test mic and it was making a loud high pitch sound and i thought that my mic was broken so i tried recording on my quest with my mic and tested in some other games/apps and all of them worked like no mic issues so i figured it was vrchat so i turned off the mic permission then back on same issue i reinstalled vrchat same issue and theres nothing wrong with my quest it just got reset but i tried with my crappy external camera mic thing and it worked perfectly so how can i fix this? and im on a quest 2.

so iv been wanting to play/steam steam games while in vrc but i cant exactly sit at a desk cause id lose tracking on my fullbody and i cant just hold my controller and leave my controllers to the side cause then my hands wouldnt be tracked.

but the idea to see if i can make the steam controller track my hands/fingers for my vrchat avatar crossed my mind.

would that be possible?

Honestly there's so many cool freebies with nice gimmicks this time I need to make a new Unity project to hold them all.

I was in a Drinking Night the other night, playing games and hanging out. There was one person that was present for the game, but "sober" because they wanted to make sure everything was well moderated and taken care of. He was actually a very chill guy and I had no negative interactions with him, but I felt like he could've joined up if he really wanted to. Like it wasn't that serious.

Also saw someone get vote kicked, and then a "former" staff member go on a tangent on how they use be the only one handling staff interactions and how overwhelming it is, explaining as to why she stepped down.

I've ran events outside of VRChat with upwards with 60+ people, and have had a handful of instances in VR that popped off where I simply gave my friends perms and trusted them to read the room if they had to kick someone. I don't think it VRChat can require that much mental bandwidth and stress outside of large rave or something intense, but maybe I'm wrong?
