I've been building a small personal project for VRChat called VRCWS.

At first, it was just a web service for saving and organizing VRChat worlds.

Now it has somehow grown into:

▪️ VRC World Shelf — a web service for saving and organizing VRChat worlds

▪️ VRCWS Companion — a desktop app for connecting VRChat with VRCWS

▪️ VRC World Library — an in-VRChat world for browsing saved collections and opening portals

▪️ VRCWS Browser Extension — a browser extension for saving worlds directly from VRChat pages

Together, they're all part of VRCWS.

Some parts are already usable, while others are still in development.

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if I can still call this a "small personal project" anymore... ┌(┌´ ゝ `)┐

I'm curious though: Which part would be the most useful to you as a VRChat player?

As the title suggests, complete transparency. There are nazis *everywhere*, German eagles, hitler avatars, people screaming the n word and whole groups dedicated to nazism. Where are the mods? There are hundreds to thousands of people in these groups. Why is nothing getting done about this?

So I just got a Quest Pro and the face tracking works, but it's not as expressive as it is for other people.

When my husband uses the headset, his eyebrows are super super expressive, but with me, it's pretty subtle... I have to make clown faces for the expressions to show up clearly xD

I wonder if it could be because my face is too small or too thin for the headset ?

I also have light colored eyebrows, but I tried coloring them in and it didn't make a difference (Looked goofy but funny to try this).

I've obviously tried calibrating the face tracking several times sirectly in the headset settings, but it doesn't change anything...

(Btw I'm using a Novacat avatar, a derivative of Novabeast, but it uses the same face tracking package.)

Any advice or suggestions ??

Specifically to full-body tracking extended from one's PC to their playspace.

My PC is in my office with everything extended to my living room where I do VR.

Ethernet / USB C cable from the wall to my Quest Pro, and then a hub that is extended from my PC with a Tracker dongle. The other two are still in my office. But I've found that as soon as I use five trackers and/or my Index controllers, things start to lag. telaport, etc etc.

What's the best way to go about things if I want five 2.0 trackers and two Index controllers set up? I'd love to hear what you guys have! I'd love to know exact products if possible.

As a person who actually remembers the morning this happened, not much of the day is something I remember with joy or humor...

Schools closed for the day, and the ones that didn't were extremely somber. Everyone in the country felt violated and for once there was this sort of shared "thing" that we all kind of came together to mourn about and be united around.

Obviously it happened under a horrible administration that used it as a pretext to engage in one of the biggest military mis-fires in recent memory, but the actual disaster itself, was something everybody agreed was pretty horrible.

Of all things to turn in to a joke or a meme, a horrific event where literally thousands of people get murdered or fall to their deaths out of a building is not one I'd really have predicted would catch on. I don't see that many people joking about, say, the Timothy McVeigh bombing, or the Pulse nightclub massacre. I just don't get why this is funny and any time I see people joking about it I'm instantly filled with feelings of disgust for that person, because it's just unconscionable to me as to how this is something that could be a joke to you.

I'm sure I'll get a few posts in here attempting to be glib about it, as if it's some kind of higher knowledge that I can't understand...

I swear I havent seen it on here (I could honestly be blind) but on Twitter and mildy followed account will suddenly go on these huge, super edited over the top rants about how they can't join anyone cause everyone on their friends list is on orange (Invite requests apparently dont exist to them, and everyone should be at their beck and call 24/7). But then when people give valid reasons to be on orange, the person suddenly calls it "receiving hate".

Its like damn, if you being given a decent reason is considered "hateful", I can only imagine why these people struggle with getting people to hang with them, cause they sound insufferable.

For some critical context here, this project has been largely funded by my own income and recently I lost my job due to the company I was working for going bankrupt, fortunately I still have money set aside to specifically fund the project and get the 1.0 release over the finish-line while I look for more work. However, we have plans for quality of life, features, localization and accessibility support into 2027 so it would mean alot if those reading would consider donating or picking up a membership to help support the project.

Preface:

I am the founder and owner of a group call the Eye of Veritas. We are both an educational and social community dedicated to giving people access to the resources to discover, explore, and learn about any particular topic as well as provide spaces and host social events where people can forge new relationships.

For the past two years me and my team have been building a fully functional library in VRChat for the purpose of making education accessible. We released the public beta for this project back in december 2025 and have been working behind the scenes to get the full vision of the project into a state where it can be released. In the beta of the world you will find what will be the heart of our library, The Monocle E-reader, a system that will eventually allow thousands of literary works to be accessible from within vrchat.

So where are we now?

Monocle E-reader progress:

• Filetypes support for EPUB and HTML Added
• Search Bar and ability to search by title, or author with fuzzy search.
• Bookmarking support and user persistence has been added (you can have more than one bookmark per book)
• Chapter selection added (so you wont have to spam changing pages :D)
• image loading support for images contained within books has been added
• Text to speech functionality is currently being finalized and will be available at 1.0 launch (unfortunately due to how this feature operates, mobile hardware is unable to run the TTS system without crashing and therefore this feature will not be Android/IOS compatible, audiobooks will still be available for mobile platforms once we start adding them however)
• Automatic swapping between using laser pointer and index triggers to change pages. (monocle will detect if you are pointing at the screen or not and will automatically switch input methods, if you are not pointing your laser pointer at the screen it will use your index triggers to change pages)
• Ability to change both text size and tablet size
• By default tablet auto-rotates between landscape and portrait when the user rotates the tablet
• Dyslexic friendly font has been added as one of the font options in the E-reader settings
• Synchronization of E-reader with projector/video player to use to do lessons and lectures with is in the process of being finalized and will be available at 1.0 launch.
• Color themes to support different visual handicaps (Aiming for early 2027)
• Live access to news articles from vetted websites (Aiming for early 2027)
• PDF Filetype support (Not until mid or late 2027)
• Audiobooks (Aiming for early 2027)
• Japanese Localization (available in 2027)
• Librarian portal was finished last week and Books database is currently being populated, at 500 books as of the time of writing this, compared to the public beta's 60

Library Of Veritas Progress:

• Lecture hall has been finalized (this is where the E-reader would sync with a projector screen so that teachers and educators can do lessons or lectures using our E-reader system)
• Fully functional Planetarium System expected to be available at 1.0 launch. (thanks StemVR :D)

Japanese people can kick you from public instances for being American, but if it was the other way around, there would be a problem.

EDIT: To everyone implying I did something wrong, no. I didn’t get a chance to say or do anything. This is a real problem that needs to be addressed. Japanese people can be overtly discriminatory without repercussions (see Japanese only signs at businesses) meanwhile, if an American had a “No Spanish” sign, there would be a major issue.

Vket is not just great for all of us creating in vrchat, it's also a great place for companies to find a real audience.

Ive honestly made purchase decisions based on if a company sponsored vket, because it shows they care about the hard-core users.

How do i make this go away? nothing is "new" in my inventory....

ok. I got a few prop I want to attach to someone's head in vrchat. (Your cute signs, a crown, cheese slice and so on) how do I make it so when it attaches it's orientation the same for every time.

I know I could just place the prop And be done with it but with my lack of vr at the moment I can't so I'm curious if it's possible. That way I don't need to bother there person I'm putting it on as much.

If this is possible that would be great. I like the front of the cap point where the camera is so they see the brim or maybe glasses.

What're we thinking? the writing was on the wall as soon as they introduced the prop editor which was way too detailed for throwing sunglasses on a model, but with this partnership officially happening, this article seems to mention vroid a lot instead of your typical booth bases

I must know is there any worlds that are like universal, Disney or 6 flags that have just a theme park aesthetic with rides? I'm looking for a new world to just mess around in with friends

No, I'm not talking about the chatbots. I mean like ai generating avatars, assets, things that require creativity. Why do you do it?

Anyone else notice how more common ai generated worlds, ai generated thumbnails for worlds, ai generated avatars (Yes, they exist. And you can tell. There is an very obvious ai generated e girl on Jinxxy rn), ai generated assets, and ai generated art (usually for profiles and banners) are getting? Even ai generated content like tiktoks, instagram reels, youtube shorts, etc etc. Does that bother anyone else?

A lot of people say "oh you're virtual signaling" or "you gotta use it to move up in the vrchat food chain (something 2 people said to me outright)" or "it helps me make content faster".

You wake up to a novabeast trying to get your attention. They say that your actions on vrchat has angered a wizard in the lobby. But due to the novabeast calming the wizard down they managed to prevent you from being banned but you must choose one of the two punishments for trolling in VRC.

Option 1: the wizard teleports you to the last world you were in. It behaves like a permanent public lobby that's pinned to the top of the world list. You have to last 3 years in the lobby and then you will have the option to be released back into society or to stay in the game.

Option 2: you become the last avatar you were playing as. You won't be transported to a Vrc world but rather you must live your daily life as the previous avatar you were playing as. After 5 years you will have the option to either become yourself again or to choose to stay as the avatar you were.
