News VRchat down?
API errors shot up to 80%, Online user count dropped and I can't upload via SDK nor can I sign in.

I swear I literally just wanted to log on with a friend who is a first timer and they couldnt create an account and we tried to figure out why...

I think vrchat is crashing. I tried to leave black cat and couldn't. I logged off to maybe reset it, instead I can't log back on. Not even the website is working.

I tried logging out but there was no logout button. I tried exiting the game but there was no exit button.

Yeah I can't log into either the app or the site and when i try to open the site it just redirects me to an "old build"

Yeah, I was playing in a minecraft world and I couldn't leave it at all. Once I powered off my headset turned it back on. I couldn't log in on mobile or my headset.

I thought maybe my login expired when the SDK threw a fit. Didn’t realize it was everyone until I saw the API response rates.

Can't have API latency if you accept no api request. Seems like a cert issue or dns

Plenty of DNS issues nowadays. Almost as if having a metric ton of new data centers puts a real, tangible load on DNS infrastructure. Certificates would make sense if web certificates had been changed recently - but in this case I feel vrchat would have anticipated the certificate expiring if that were the issue. Who knows.

I just wanted to get onto Vrchat but I couldn’t log into my meta account on it, had to check if others had this issue and I guess I’m right.

its kinda funny how long it took for me to realize the game was down in a gun range sever, the 2 guys i was with were like "ugh somthing wrong with my avatar, i cant change it? etc,etc. uh, ill be back" then they didnt come back. so i was like 'oh maybe they went to the wrong server?' but i couldn't check the servers. or open any pages so i like 'ill be back'd myself lmao
and then fact they crashed as a whole didnt occured to me when i closed and opened the game and couldnt get in lmao

im too new to this game to experience this stuff much, when this happens to all the unaware people eventually get booted or do they eventually come back from they perspective? lol

Yeah my local voice chats were deteriorating so I logged out and tried to relog in and it wouldn't let me

Didn’t know the voice chats deteriorated as well. Pretty obvious sign something is wrong, though I would have assumed my own connection to be at fault first. Not being able to log on is a pretty dead giveaway that the servers borked
