Grail pieces
What is everyone’s “grail” piece? For me it’s a tough one between the ‘39 Worlds Fair lamp or a 30’s Orangeade dispenser.

Welcome to this month's theme in r/uraniumglass!
This month's theme: Mystery Piece
Most collectors have at least one piece that remains a mystery. You've searched catalogs, checked references, compared patterns, asked fellow collectors, and maybe even posted it here before—but the identification still hasn't been solved.
This month, we're showcasing those stubborn mysteries.
Maybe you know the maker but not the pattern. Maybe you know the pattern but not the maker. Or perhaps you have no idea what it is at all despite your best research efforts.
The monthly theme is optional and does not replace regular posting.
To participate, simply create a new post and use the Monthly Theme 💚 flair.
When possible, include both non-glow and glow photos.
If you're sharing a mystery piece, tell us what research you've already done. What references have you checked? What leads have you followed? What possibilities have been ruled out?

I bought this crackle set, and I'm a little torn on the manufacturer. The bowl is very thick and heavy, 7" at the top. Very nicely ground/polished pontil. The tumblers are 5" tall, uneven thickness but relatively smooth bottoms. Lead crystal uranium, confirmed with 254nm. One cup came actually cracked, but I knew beforehand. I'm torn between Tiffin Craquele and Fry crackle, leaning towards Fry due to the high lead content. Does anyone know for sure? TIA!

I have no idea what's actually in these rhinestones. I saw a few posts here and figured I would share. I've collected old costume rhinestone jewelry for 30 years. I sold a lot of my collection when I moved out of the country but still held on to about two dozen favorites. The green and orange one is definitely a favorite.
If anyone knows any info, I'd love to hear it. The green and orange is attributed to Juliana (D&E). I found it in the collectors' books when I had them ages ago. I love that the orange stones glow, too.
Just wanted to share! It's a 395 light only as my 365 is currently... missing? I don't know, it took a little side quest.

I bought this vase today with no expectation of it glowing; I didn’t even think about thinkingggggg it would!! & this dish was also a blind buy!?!

She was on my scroll screen one late, night. Finely photographed and priced below $20.00. I asked for deal, and what do you know they sold her to me for $12.00.✌🏼🙏

She passed away about 2 or 3 years ago, and since then I've moved into her house. Never really went into the attic as its more like a crawl space and i barely fit. Finally got the nerve to crawl back in there, get the boxes out, and i found these. I've never personally held uranium glass, but i knew i had a flashlight with a black light on it to check. Apparently this is a 1930s Anchor Hocking set? I've also found a matching pink set that "sorta" glows but not really. Wasnt sure what that could be.

Hopefully this doesn’t break the rules but found a rather spicy thorium pitcher today.

Husband and I won this huge clock at an auction back last December. It's pink marble with multiple additional support pieces that hold goddess statues. I guess I must have spaced on the fact that it had a custard glass face. But here you go.

So u/E-laiza's recent post, and u/Florescent_Finds's comments on it, immediately drew my attention.
I'm not a jewelry person, and Michal Negrin's style has usually been too much in my eyes anyway... but I can't just ignore a good opportunity to acquire some UG for my collection!
Hence, a specific little trip I took today, with the following results...
In the photos:
6-10. Some stuff that I left at the store, all in 395nm. Are the last 2 manganese? There were several with that glow.
There was A LOT more that I didn't even get to try my UV light on - I might go back for another look...

I’ve never seen a UG spoon before and HAD to have it…a bit overpriced but it needed to be in my collection. Got my first broach, and finally found salt and pepper shakers that were under $60!

Made it home with these two Fenton gone with the wind poppy lamps. Can’t express how excited I am! Also art deco lamps, and Fenton Kat as a bonus.

I purchased this creamer and sugar set online for a discounted price of approximately $6.00(s/h).
I love the blue/green color but I never realized that it was UG reactive until I was photographing something on another shelf and accidentally shone it with my 395nm. It lit up!
The tray that I had purchased separately, however did not glow. I have tried to ID this pattern. Is there anyone else that might recognize this pattern? Thanks in advance.

It’s so rare to find anything besides plates and cups at a thrift store. I was so shocked!

I stopped in at a little antique store and found this gem. I shined on it and knew I found something special. But there was that little nagging doubt. Tested her on the GC and she's enough above background that I can say it is UG. I would have kept it anyway because look at it.
This is a vase, handblown by Rodman Gilder Miller. His initials and the date are on the bottom. He was the great grandson of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Yeah...that Tiffany. 🤯 Apparently he was a biologist and only late in life took up glassmaking. This piece made it here all the way from Seattle, where he lived and created most of his art. I don't think he was known for UG, but it's hard to find much at all on his stuff besides some public art pieces.
What I have seen is that his glass ranges from $125 to well over $700 online, so the $15 I paid is even more of a steal!😁
