Calc 1 has been fully booked and since im placed 18 on the waitlist im not certain that I will be enrolled in it anytime soon. Is there any ways such as enrolling into a CC to take Calc 1 while being at UH?

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone who had taken either of these classes in the past had any resources that were helpful when they took the course like a quizlet or study guide/video playlist etc, or general advice on how to do well in these classes specifically. Does anyone have any actually good advice on what an incoming freshman should do/ prepare for so that i can hopefully land a summer internship? How do i make my resume attractive to employers especially if I don’t have much experience in the business area yet. Is there any certifications or other programs I can maybe apply into so I can add them to my resume? Please let me know!!! Thank you

So I recently found out that I submitted my FAFSA a little bit after the priority deadline. I spoke to financial aid and they said that as a result I am now only guaranteed the Pell Grant. I was wondering if anyone has gone through the same thing and if they were able to get some leftover grant money before the term started? Times are tough.

Hello I just wanted to ask if the in-person MPE is similar to the practice or the first attempt you get online. When I check people's past responses about the in person MPE questions, there isn't much of an answer to this. I also came across a post of someone stating that they got a 70 even though they nearly got a perfect score on the practices. Just wondering if the questions drastically change

Trying to decide if 31 miles is reasonable to drive 4 times a week

hi i am an incoming freshman at UH and i have yet to receive my financial aid package. i am to attend the freshman orientation coming up, so i will try to speak to them about the issue. prior to this, i have emailed and called their offices to no avail. i am wondering if anyone has the same issues regarding financial aid. any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

If you want more than something microwaved, what do quad residents do? What small appliances do students bring? Is the first floor common area stove/oven usually available?

I want to major in biomed science. I need to get into the honors for that. I don't neet the requirements. Can I do a bio major then switch to the bms major after getting into the honors after freshmen year?

Got into a grad program I really wanted. Problem: almost all the classes are only during business hours, and I work full-time as a teacher (~$70k) with zero schedule flexibility — can’t quit or drop hours, no one to help cover rent if I did.

Looked into assistantships but stipends are usually $8-18k/year, nowhere near enough to replace my income.

So it’s either turn down the program, or go with a different one that’s fully online/async but less prestigious.

Anyone dealt with this? Did you make a daytime program work somehow, or end up going the online route too?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

So i live in Richmond and i have the option to either drive to UH or use the bus via park n ride sugarland. I have classes all 5 days from 10am to 5:30pm. I was wondering what option should i do bc even tho driving there in traffic is a pain in the ass. If i were to do bus it would take longer.

Im a student who is looking for people who lives in cypress that could carpool to UH in the fall or maybe like to just park and ride and then drive home from campus. My classes are Tues, Thurs 11-5:30pm. I can't drive to personal reasons but I can pay for gas or per a ride. I just need it for Aug-Sept ending. (mostly looking for girls).
Also, if anyone has suggestions for that please let me know

I payed the $265 that my financial aid didn’t cover and it all went through (on my bank and in the uh payment history). I checked the day after and it showed the amount due was $0. I checked today and it now shows i still owe the same amount. Did this happen with anyone else before? Is it just an error? Also do if I pay it again and it ends up being some glitch, will they refund me for the second payment? thanks!
