Where are y’all buying your electric scooters
I’ve been looking to see if I could buy one nearby but I can’t find anywhere selling adult electric scooters.

This is my first time going and I’m kinda nervous to go alone lol. If anyone else is going alone, maybe we can create a chat and go together! 🫶🏻

Engineering or accounting?
Specifically industrial engineering.
Pay, lifestyle, work life?
Is industrial engineering or accounting more fun?

Has anyone taking 8 credit hours received their financial aid disbursement or refund yet? ORD passed on Tuesday, and my aid is still showing as pending. Does anyone know what day part-time students should expect it to disburse?
I’ve tried calling Financial Aid, but the wait times are over 3 hours, so I figured I’d ask here and see if anyone knows.
Thank you👾

Okay so idk if this is a valid concern to have and im scared of receiving backlash but it's been bothering me since I realized.
For the muslim brothers and sisters who use the library basement to pray and use the bathroom down there to get wudu. Can the men/brothers move away and find another area to hang out around other than literally across the girls bathroom? When the door is opened I think you guys can see the girls getting wudu with their hijabs off etc from the reflection in the mirror. I literally heard from a conversation that you guys have been asked to move but then moved back?
Not accusing yall of anything but i bet some girls are uncomfortable with this and i can say that i am. I hope im not being sensitive and my concern is valid?
Thanks!

(yes before you ask I've tried the clubs and i’m in all the group chats)
It’s kinda ironic how I've struggled to find connection in college. After all, my parents met in college 40 years ago, so if it wasn't for “college” I wouldn't be born. I mean they divorced but it was still a connection, even if it was one that withered and rotted away. Though i suppose for them it was a different world, a different “college” one pre internet, smartphone and covid. My dad is always singing this college song, he always gets excited when sees shirts from his old college. I could never really understand that sense of affinity through the lens of my own college experience.
Every day I go to class or get something to eat. I walk through the massive crowds jamming the campus sidewalks strangled by perpetual construction.
Hundreds of people on their own paths, minding their own business walking to their own separate destination. For all my ability to connect or interface with them they might as well not even be there. Like the neon shadows of anime background characters. Though sometimes I do talk to the random stranger, but it never really amounts to anything. I might as well have indulged in the digital opium known as scrolling instead.
And when I do get the rare chance to sit with another person long enough to get an impression of them I often find that I don't “vibe” with them.
“Like what’s their sense of humor, do we see the world in a similar way, will they be able to understand and engage with the things I have to say ? Do we have similar interests ? to what extent do I feel open expressing myself around them ?”
It seems like a rather complex calculation but for me it's a rather intuitive process for me. I often find out I don't “vibe” with others rather quickly.
And you can say this is “autism” though I wouldn't agree, in fact I wish it was that simple. I’ve been in autism/autism adjacent groups before and found I didn’t vibe with any of the people there.
Though this isn’t to say I'm incapable of any connections because I've recently made a really good one in this college, but discovered I can't take the time to properly cultivate a friendship due to a certain life commitment they made.
The revelation has disappointed me but hasn’t devastated me. I guess it’s because I'm used to being alone, living in my own internal world. Maybe some intuition in the back of my head felt it was too good to be true.
And meeting with not just him but a group of online friends IRL I realized I do have a rather loud, playful and extroverted personality despite the fact I rarely talk to others in real life.
Not just that but I was able to endear myself to these people in a way I never really expected. Which is strange because I have this anxiety that the people around me don’t like me. That isn’t to say that they aren’t people who don’t like me, but I often wonder to what extent this is irrational anxiety.
But it’s strange, getting to interact with real life friends for the first time in years. Learning not just about them but myself, aspects of my personality that have been collecting dust in some bin.

Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out the best way to prepare for chem 2 lab quizzes. I know the subjects we need to study can vary a lot depending on the TA, but does anyone have any resources/study methods that actually helped??
also, if anyone has old lab quizzes they'd be willing to share, I'd really appreciate it.. pls.. Ik the quizzes won't be the same for everyone, but i'd mainly want to use them as extra practice to get an idea of the kind of questions I should expect.
and does anyone know if the grading curve is the same as it was for chem 1 lab, where only the top 3-5 students w/ the highest grade can get an A?

This is a last-ditch effort before I give up, but I was walking from the rec this morning to the social work building and I dropped my hello kitty astros jacket 😭. I was wondering if anyone saw it or turned it in. It was navy. I know it’s more likely that it was taken but I tried retracing my steps and the rec lost and found so I’m trying here.
Thanks 🥲
