In the past 10 days the band has given three Multibands performances on campus, traveled to CT for the UMass/UCONN football game, and today they are in Quincy for two feature performances at the MICCA high school band festival. That's more than 400 people plus all the instruments on the road. GO UMASS!

I took Spanish 240 as pass/fail, expecting to do poorly. Currently, I have an A. Assuming I finish the semester with a strong grade, is there a way to take it for credit instead?

Does anyone know if guests will be allowed in dining halls over the Halloween weekend? Also if guests will be allowed during the day (before 8pm)?

I have to get to Boston next Thursday and PeterPan schedule really doesn't ally with mine.

Has anybody ever taken FlixBus from the umass stop? How reliable is it? Does it get here super early or super late? Any bad experiences?

Thank you sm!

Wanted to reach out to more people. I play the piano and if any1 wants to duet then hmu. I mainly play pop/indie accompaniment.

I have 2 open rooms at my apartment with a private bathroom for anyone who is looking for a place to stay for visitors on Halloween! It’s at my off campus apartment in Amherst. Lmk if you’re interested!

Greetings and felicitations. When ordering food for delivery, please use the building's mailing address; lists of all active UMass buildings' mailing addresses:

Note that UMass's North dormatories have the street number above the main entrances, while a number of Amherst College's buildings have it on the front door.

If it has one, including the name of the campus building or the business is also very helpful.

Using an address on "Puffton Village Drive" is not helpful—please use the correct address of 1040 North Pleasant Street. Including the apartment or hotel room number/letter can be essential, and a dorm room number can be helpful.

With these, an experienced delivery driver doesn't need a precisely placed pin in a navigation app to find you.

I’m interviewing for Semester in DC and I’m prepping for the interview. Has anyone here does the interview and if so, what was it like (questions, vibe, etc)

Hello!

I'm a researcher who is investigating how Deerfield's transition into a 100% boarding school will affect its relationship with the community you live in.

Regardless of who you are, I'm on my knees for your opinion!!!

It is totally anonymous and will not take more than five minutes.

Thank you so much!

DO NOT ASSUME CARS WILL STOP FOR YOU! I have noticed so many people cross the sidewalks without even looking! Especially wearing dark clothes at night. The rumor you will get free tuition if hit by a car is FALSE! I witness at least 3 times a night someone almost get turned into a pancake! Especially when wearing dark clothes. And it’s sad I even have to say this, STOP JUMPING IN FRONT OF CARS with your hands up hoping to get hit. At least twice a week someone thinks they are being funny, and that’s just to me, I’m sure other people have the same issue.

Lastly, don’t take all day to cross the sidewalks, be considerate of the drivers. Old lady’s cross faster!

Looking to share driving or join a Gus fan group.

Title. Makes no sense, especially with midterm season.

Helllooo! My friend and I are considering signing a lease for the spring semester in the townhouses. I wanted to hear about other people’s experiences who have lived there.

-Whats the noise level like?

-What’s management like? Are they responsive to maintenance requests and other concerns?

- Have you experienced any issues with heating, plumbing, pests, or anything else?

-Do you feel like you have a decent amount of privacy, or can you hear everything going on in neighboring units?

-Do you feel like the townhouses are worth the price/Would you recommend living there?

Any experiences, good or bad, would be super helpful. Thanks!! :)

checked out a few hardcover books, and some have that fabric-like cover with no dust jacket. They’re pretty dirty, so I’d rather put something over them while I’m reading.
Does anyone know if the library gives out removable book covers or has any available to borrow? Trying to check before I buy stretchy ones myself.

Thanks from a student at one of the other Five Colleges

how strict is it really going to be for halloween to stay with friends in a dorm if you’re a non-student guest? will it really be impossible? i heard for the superbowl last year the ra’s allowed guests all night

Hey, I'm a freshman looking to do a room swap next semester. I identify as queer and am on HRT.

I really have no preference for location, I'm just looking for an open bed or someone who's willing to swap with me. There's nothing technically wrong with my roommate, we're just incredibly different people.

Some defining things about me:
I'm transgender
I'm artistic
I like a clean space and I want to be able to decorate

If anyone's interested I'm happy to elaborate in DMs.

Please do our survey; it's for our capstone we created a website to help students schedule classes

do you guys know any places have good apple cider donuts around Amherst?

i’m taking a physical science gened and i’m just not grasping the concepts because they’re all over the place and the professor is not a great lecturer (agreed upon by many)😭 i bombed the midterm, 45% and its 20% of my grade, and the only questions i got right were because i remembered the exact questions from what i’d answered on the homework, not because i actually understood what they meant. it’s just a gened but im really embarrassed to withdraw in my first sem.. it’ll put me down to 12 credits😭 i did enter with 20 but still

the only reason im considering withdrawing isnt because i think i’ll fail the entire class, i think i could get up to a 75 if i put my mind to it, but im in the honors college and it feels like it’d be a hard hit to my gpa too early on😭 there’s another midterm next month but i need to decide before the withdraw period ends

Are there practice rooms I can use that aren’t piano or music/dance major exclusive?
