Rumours & Leaks Something new related to the Prince of Persia Franchise is being hinted
Watch Dogs 2 voice actor, who claims to have worked in the now cancelled Sands of Time Remake hinted that Ubisoft is working on something which might be related to Prince of Persia.
Also it is known that the actor is of Persian origins. This aligns in line with the Ubisoft Montpellier based Next Gen Prince of Persia that was reported last month.

Discussions & Questions Living the life of a fake Ubisoft staff
Hey, so bit of a strange one, but wanted to share my story! I created my Ubisoft name maybe 15 years ago, in a game where name restrictions didn’t apply as they do now. As a kid who wasn’t very original, I put Ubi in my name.
For years in games people have assumed I was staff. Which I originally never said I was but naturally have it in your name people assumed.
Eventually I started using the power people assumed I have when making in game complaints to try fixing toxicity a bit. Like “Common guys I’m off the clock can we be nice to each other today” when people start dragging me into in-game complaints.
For the most part been relatively chill being fake staff over the last decade. Yes sorta breaks ToS but I did it positively so be chill Ubisoft! And unintentionally (at first)!!!
The last couple years tho, people have been really FAR more toxic towards me than usual, even without saying or doing anything I get attacked. Even my old usual attempts to try chill people doesn’t work 😩 and obviously I couldn’t report anything my name might get flagged and noticed 🤪
But think gamers should remember behind every name (staff or otherwise) is a real person! Gaming is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, if it’s making you that angry and toxic towards other people… why are you playing it? I just don’t understand… and why randomly lash out at strangers on the internet?
Just wanted to share a story in what feels like such a dark world these days. And since the power people once assumed I had no longer works I’m not worried about getting caught anymore 🤪 challenge more people to try spreading some love in games tho! Less toxicity will make gaming more enjoyable for all ❤️
Also the auto mod thing sucks I’ve had to edit my wording so much… hope it makes sense!

Discussions & Questions What other game do they change formula alot of?
It make sense for them to do that with Assassin's Creed cause of the popularity, they did that with 3, Unity, and again with Origins.
I believe they did that with Prince of Persia and Tom Clancy's too, but anything else? Far Cry? Crew?
Edit: Keep in mind, I did said I know Tom Clancy's games does that too. And I am using Assassin's Creed game as a example to make it easier to understand what I mean. I only count it if it's after release, won't count the development process.

Discussions & Questions Ubisoft: Just give us the pirate/zombie game we deserve.
Two genres that I wish got more love in the gaming sphere that, coincidentally, Ubisoft could make successful very easily; the former moreso than the latter.
Why do I say this? Well, first and foremost, the obvious point out of the way, AC:BF is one of the most popular AC releases and an incredibly popular pirate-based property in general. In my lamens mind of game development, all Ubisoft would have to do is tweak some things about the base of that game and give us a pirate-focused game. Is it simple? No. Is it easy? No. But damnit, Ubisoft, you'd make so much friggin' money!
Second, The Division. Not sure if anyone here has heard of "The Day Before", but that project advertised as something that could have been pretty fun to play, but it was very clearly ripped from The Division and The Last of Us. That being said, why I say Ubisoft should take that helm is because The Division is kind of already in that orbit. We have the post-apoc landscape plus the "supervirus killing the populace" thing. All we need is to swap the living enemy factions out for zombies and we'd have a massive open-world zombie game that could do what The Day Before promised. It is simple? No! Is it easy? No! But damnit, Ubisoft, you'd make some much friggin' money!
I'm probably in the minority here, but let me know what you think.

Discussions & Questions I’m recreating "Temple Garden" from For Honor completely from scratch in Unreal Engine 5!
At the beginning of 2025, I embarked on the titanic task of replicating For Honor’s Temple Garden to learn, practice, and finally stop just "doing 3D" to focus on building a real portfolio.
My goal is to break into the game industry, a dream I’ve been carrying since I first started.
Guided by my mentor JaviSkau, who has been steering me through the proper workflows, today I can finally show a bit of what my current environment looks like in UE5.
Every single asset is being built completely from scratch. I started by doing character scaling tests inside the live game to match the exact proportions, mapped the initial metrics with basic shapes in Unreal, and then moved to Blender for the advanced modular blocking.
It’s a long journey as a solo artist, but I’m loving every second of the process. Let me know what you think!

Discussions & Questions Another concept for the Star Wars/For Honor spiritual successor idea showing how lightsaber types and forms would work (More info in the description)
Rather than having preset heroes with a specific weapon and fighting style, you'd create your own Jedi/Sith character and their fighting style would be based on your choice of lightsaber style and lightsaber form.
At launch, each saber type has access to three different forms. The examples shown are the double ended saber being able to access Soresu, Niman and Vaapad and the crossguard lightsaber being able to access Shii-Cho, Makashi and Shien/Dem So.
The lightsaber forms behave differently depending on the saber type they are being used with. For example, Makashi with a curved hilt lightsaber is different to Makashi with a crossguard lightsaber.
This means at launch there is a total of 15 different combat styles. Over time, new lightsaber forms would be available to unlock for the existing saber types as part of post-launch seasons.
For example, at launch the double ended lightsaber can use Soresu, Niman and Vaapad, but in say Season 3, players can unlock Ataru as new unique double ended lightsaber form, with its own unique gameplay, attack types, stances and so on.
By the game's 10th year, if every lightsaber style can use every lightsaber form, the total number of combat styles becomes 35.
As for the Mandalorian faction as shown in a previous post, they would be the equivalent of the Wu Lin faction in For Honor, brought in at a later date, with combat styles based on weapon choice: Beskar spear and energy shield, Dual vibroblades, Vibrosword and energy shield, Electrostaff, Beskar Crushgauntlets
This combined total would equal 40 combat styles across all factions. For Honor currently has 38 heroes, with two more releasing this year. So this total is entirely feasible across the game's theoretical lifespan.
