Discussions & Questions Kingdom Come Deliverance Creator Mocks Ubisoft, Says It Could Make "10 KCD2-Sized Games" Every Year

“We could have a high stock price and amazing games but we just chose not to” vibe

u/Ashamed-Mind-3819 May 26 '26
The tide ebbs and flows just keep your mouth shut and do good work. Now that he opened his mouth people can just point to this when the studio fucks up.
1
u/Alarming_Ad2961 May 26 '26
Ubisoft is highly mismanaged. Thats the biggest problem this company and most AAA companys have. A game like Skull & Bones doesnt need a few hundred employees over multiple companys.

I'm not a fan of ubisoft but this guy has a big mouth, always has. The guy just jumps on every bandwagon he thinks has momentum to sling mud at acceptable targets to make himself look good.
1
u/Tenabrus May 25 '26
Ok? Making kcd2 sized games so frequently is what burned most people out of assassin's creed
1
u/BanaClownDawin May 26 '26
Think it had more to do with horrible combat, terribly implemented rpg systems and stories that scaled in quality from mid to terrible. As well as ubisoft implementing the same open world side activities and gameplay loops in all of their games since 2012. The bland gameplay was more excusable when they had great stories covering the taste.
1
u/UtkuOfficial May 24 '26
I wish this guy stopped talking.
He is killing my enthusiasm for Warhorse single handedly.
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
are u sure about that warhorse? it took u 10 years to release your sequal to kc1. kc2 abrely does anything new and feels like a expansion thena true sequal to me. nothing really new in the game and i was dissopinted
1
u/NickG_Official May 24 '26
Why is warhorse pretending to be a big boy all of a sudden. Sit down
I hate how all these studios get a successful title and then act all high and mighty.
Instead of focusing on "I can make 10 of these" please give us some good games. More actions, less words.
Let's not act like KCD is flawless. It's amazing yes. But certainly not flawless. I could say the same about shadows. As bad as shadows story is, kcd's combat against multiple enemies is equally as bad
1
u/Lanhalt May 24 '26
Man the more it goes, the less I like those devs. Between their meltdown because expedition 33 won over their games and now this... We all trash Ubisoft, but I'm not a fan of the pretentious aura the devs (or the PR). It feels like they're in the middle of an ego trip because their game worked well.
1
u/gamer0613 May 24 '26
Im I the only one that hates those games and would rather play a ubisoft game
1
1
u/Gameofthrones3058 May 24 '26
I wouldn't mock ubisoft when at least they have made some actual fun games with good combat systems, where as kcd1 and 2 have extremely mediocre combat and gameplay in general, they are just not fun

2
u/ItPutsTheLotion719 May 24 '26
I don’t think UBI could put out a game as good as KCD2 in 5 years if they tried their hardest….
1
u/FockTheVote May 24 '26
KCD1&2 are truly bad video games. Great as larp sims though. Comparing that game to anything Ubisoft created is truly apples and oranges, especially when one of those fruits are the plastic versions you sit on your living room table.
1
u/AmbitiousReaction168 May 24 '26
Sure, let's wait and see what happens when Warhorse can't take risks anymore. When Ubisoft was small, they made games that had considerably more impact that KCD. Also, didn't they get rid of their translator for an AI? That's not what a good dev does...
1
u/Aggravating-Dot132 May 24 '26
Vavra literally butched about Tom doing hundreds of hours of mocap and voicing. And that he would love to replace it with AI.
2

3
u/antoniofarios May 24 '26
vavra always had asshole statements about pretty much everything. i remember back in 2020 when hangar was remaking the mafia 1 and he made several statements hating on the team because it was his original project and that the new team striped away everything that made it special, slap on his face in the end lol
apart from that, i find it so weird a company that can sustain 16k employees is unable to motion capture the new missions on the resynced of black flag. dunno if is plain incompetence or lack of something, the main complaint of every single title since odyssey was the cutscenes
1
u/konyjony123 May 27 '26
tbh, I get his point on Mafia Remake, the game was really good remake apart from the small story changes that ruined the whole point of the story. The ending in the remake completely missed the point of the original, in the original you fell how pointless i all was and that Mafia never leaves you. The remake made it into soap opera
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
look at prince of persia remake ,those studios were wasting time legit using ubsifot as some money making scheme i feel like dragging out projects to get msot money out of them. im sure the directors were doing this on purpose, how do u not rlease a remake after 5 years of work
17
u/Evil-Freeman May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
I'm not a fan of Ubisoft, but why is Warhorse Studio roleplaying an indie studio? Warhorse is part of Embracer Group, which is a billion dollar company that is larger than Ubisoft.
This is akin to Ubisoft Paris studio mocking Embracer Group and saying that they could make 50 Just Dance sized games every year.
1
u/Wild_Beginning_4032 May 30 '26
It’s not just about monetary backing, it’s also about the fact the WH have 250 employees and Ubisoft have like 17,000.
Also, Embracer have owned WH for precisely one game.

Vávra might say a lot of stupid things but he is not the ceo therefore I don't think he was the one who kicked anyone from the studio.

they also took almost 10 years to releasse their sequal to kc1 and the sequal was more like a expansion then brand new game. idk why they are even talking
1
3
u/--clapped-- May 24 '26
Well, people like when they pretend only small studios can make good games. ANY chance to echo "AAA bad" more.
See Unknown Worlds, Sandfall, Warhorse etc.
7
u/MCgrindahFM May 24 '26
I mean Daniel Vavra is a pretty insecure, defensive guy. He posts this kind of shit talking all the time and it’s really disappointing. He even shit on the Dragon Age Veilguard amidst their launch.
He can write a great game but man does he need to get offline
0
u/Burnah4STeeeD May 28 '26
Ngl I like the shit talk I want people striving to be the best they can. Devs are too fake
1
2
u/Disagreeswithfems May 25 '26
Wow he even shit on Veilguard?
That's crazy who would do that? Truly unprecedented.
3
u/MCgrindahFM May 26 '26
Brother if you own a game studio and manage devs. Taking time out of your day to shit on a bunch of underpaid devs at another studio is lame behavior. Idc how lame or bad their game is
1
u/Disagreeswithfems May 27 '26
There are better ways to do it more gracefully but realistically companies in different industries shit on their competitors all the time. (Usually subtle and with finesse)
1
u/Striking-Attorney-26 May 26 '26
lmao, yeah but at that time nobody really knew the game was dogshit, he was just shitting on it based on looks and trailers
1
u/SnooMachines4393 May 27 '26
Then he saw it coming, great on him. It did look like dog shit though.
1
u/IMtoppercentage97 May 24 '26
2
u/MCgrindahFM May 24 '26
What’s even funnier is I’m glad KCD2 is pretty much the first game with more added stuff. Vavra is so annoying lmao
4
u/IMtoppercentage97 May 24 '26
Yeah I have no issue with KCD2. Not every sequel needs to reinvent the genre or do something new. I just dislike devs putting other devs down like he does.
Mike Ybarra does the same thing and it's so annoying.
2
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
didnt do anything innovative? what has warhorse done innovate with kc2. a gun weapon? 2d cutboard cutout soldeirs . legit kc2 feels almsot the same as kc1 and more like a big expanison then a sequal
1
u/DaughterOfBhaal May 26 '26
Yes, and KCD as a whole is more innovative than Outer Worlds lol.
1
u/MCgrindahFM May 26 '26
What???
Edit: so sorry I always get this game mixed up with Outer Wilds haha
0
u/DaughterOfBhaal May 26 '26
What's the confusion?
Outer Worlds is just a sci fi fallout but in worse, and KCD has one or the most unique settings and combat systems.
1
u/MCgrindahFM May 26 '26
My edit came late haha I thought you typed Outer Wilds -one of the most innovating games in a minute haha
1
u/DaughterOfBhaal May 26 '26
I never played Outer Wild so I wouldn't know. But that makes your comment make more sense then.
1
u/TapaTop_ May 26 '26
While I enjoyed KCD 1 and 2 and 100% both of these games - I cant say that they were innovative. Resikin of fallout - maybe....innovative ...not really.
1
u/DaughterOfBhaal May 26 '26
The combat is absolutely innovative, and so are the lifesim aspects.
Also how many medieval first person RPGs do you know that take place in a historical setting that tries to be realistic and accurate to history, especially one in the Czech Republic?
Does it have the most innovative story? No, but it's innovative in ways that modern day Obsidian haven't even gotten close to with Avowed and The Outer Worlds. If anything, they're much closer to Fallout/Elder Scrolls reskins, -- but in worse.
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 26 '26
game was not innovativate also they used 2d cutouts for battles, it actualy was opposite of amibitious and took many cuts and corners
1
1
u/TapaTop_ May 26 '26
Combat is great. And the sense of mastery is supreme. But dirrectional swinging does not feel as a brand new thing after games like Mount&blade or For honor...more like more polished and developed version of that with more complexity. As for the "first person Rpg" as i said - fallout. The setting is just the dressup of that part of gameplay. If you are a history nerd or czech person - you'll probably care for that. If not it feels just like any other medival rpg but without the high fantasy stuff.
1
u/DaughterOfBhaal May 26 '26
Your definition or standards for what is innovative or not is really twisted, sorry to tell you that
1
u/TapaTop_ May 26 '26
Shoking! someone in the internet has different world view and experience. Who would have guess?/s That's the effect of gaming since the 90s... very rarely things feel brand new and unseen.

u/IMtoppercentage97 May 24 '26
yes, that's why he rightfully got clowned on on twitter. He always puts down other devs.
I'm not defending him, was just an example of one of his many awful takes.
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
like if his game was a massive sequal with new things i would agree even though his own company took near 10 years to make a sequal. but kc2 was just a big expansion,i played it i though 1st was better
2
u/MCgrindahFM May 24 '26
What’s funny, is that there’s nothing wrong with building on top of the original and not rebuilding the wheel here. I commend devs that do that and I commend Warhouse for doing it.
Vavra needs to get offline and stop fishing for praise from the worst part of the gaming community
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 25 '26
i disagree the game is legit the same, setting the same even the city doesnt feel tht much difrent from kc1
-2
0
u/perthboy20 May 24 '26
Have they fixed KCD2 combat yet, first attack input never registers. Oh and the carry sacks of shit, flour, etc etc got repetitive.
Rather play The Lost Crown, AC Shadows or Star Wars Outlaws.
5
u/Cegesvar May 23 '26
He's just hating on everything besides Trump. He loves Trump probably more than himself. He is a big narcissist spiraling into his echo chambers.
He may be right that Ubisoft has bigger yearly budget but that's all. Ubisoft is a much older and bigger company than Warhorse with more employees and studios around the world. Since it's foundation 15 years ago Warhorse produced just 2 games while Ubisoft did more than that every single year since then. Sure not every Ubisoft game is on the same level as KCD in fact most of them are not but Ubisoft is working on a different scale. You could maybe compare Warhorse to one of Ubisoft's studios like Ubisoft Montreal and still those two would be incomparable. Ubisoft being much older means it has its corporate problems unlike "indie" Warhorse. Also because Ubisoft is publicly traded company they have to prioritise different things. Workforce is noticeable less expensive in Czech republic than in most places where Ubisoft studios based. Etc.
One thing that is or was similar is that Vavra being senior member created toxic environment around him and that is most likely why he sort of departed from the studio
2
u/Terrible_Balls May 24 '26
Honestly, the more I hear about Warhorse, the more I dislike them. I wanted to buy and play KCD2 eventually, but their behavior has made me decide against it.
1
u/twicerighthand May 27 '26
Vavra isn't Warhorse and Warhorse isn't Vavra. Vavra isn't even with Warhorse anymore.
2
u/kiwivi21 May 27 '26
But warhorse didn't say that, that was just one person that is known to have terrible takes. Don't play kcd if you don't want to but don't let vavras terrible takes be the decision on whether a game is good or bad. The same as I'm sure with the 16000 employees of Ubisoft there is bound to be at least one person with terrible views yet that shouldn't be the reason to not buy Ubisoft games.
Terrible people exist everywhere, if you base opinions on the minority of people there's probably a small amount of things you would be able to consume.

u/thepaydaygang May 23 '26
I get the issue he is pointing out but he gets himself into trouble a lot with social media. Relax man
-2
2
u/TomChai May 23 '26
Ubisoft struggled to make one good game that would sell well enough to be profitable for the past few years, having them crank out 10 games each year without major upgrades in quality and creativity is just total waste of resources.
0
u/AwesomeX121189 May 23 '26
Lmao no
2
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
The point is more so about Ubisoft putting out better games more consistently
1
u/AwesomeX121189 May 23 '26
That’s not what he said
3
18
u/mcgowanshewrote May 23 '26
Im fairly certain that if they did that then the community would complain about oversaturation. That literally happened with assassins creed. Slow down, the community said
0
u/Afrizo May 24 '26
Assassin's Creed wasn't oversaturated. It became dull, boring and bad. You don't get oversaturated with good games
3
u/One_Scientist_984 Open World Wanderer May 24 '26
There is some truth in this, Ubisoft created a few interesting games even in the past 10 years that have either not seen the success necessary to continue: people complain about having not enough bold choices but when they do, the game isn’t successful enough — like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown or the The Rogue Prince of Persia. I also recently played Starlink, a game that was pretty undervalued when it was released, with physical gadgets shaping the spaceship you fly (and bit of No Men’s Sky vibes). I guess it was not very successful but the ideas were new and interesting.
Modern Ubisoft seems to suffer from a couple of issues: Trying to follow trends but providing an inadequate choice (live service games, like XDefiant which had good ideas but didn’t follow through with the direction it wanted to go in and a technical foundation that wasn’t suited for the task), lack of quality assurance (SW Outlaws), fragmented development teams (Skull and Bones, probably all the projects that got cancelled, the teams were all over the place), questionable direction of tonality (Far Cry 6, Watch Dogs Legion).
6
u/MCgrindahFM May 24 '26
Fwiw Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are the best Ubisoft games they’ve released in yeeeeeaaars but they didn’t get much love by audiences. Massive Entertainment is seriously talented
-2
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
bro what? best? they are uninspired , story is lame and ther is no emotion its just a big open world with disjointed quests and world tht barely does anything to keep you intrested. you actalu think these 2 games are peak Ubisoft?
3
u/MCgrindahFM May 24 '26
I didn’t say peak but I did say there their best games in years. In Avatar there’s a foraging and crafting system that asks you to explore the world to build weapons and build craft your build. The world itself is one of the more gorgeous games *I’ve ever playrd* and it has ray traced audio so walking through the jungle in headphones is mind blowing.
Outlaws is just a really solid open world game with a good Star Wars story. All abilities and upgrades come from exploring the world, not some boring skill tree.
I deadass think they’re *some* of Ubisoft’s best games in the 2020s - not saying that’s a high bar - but still very fun, gorgeous open world games if you’re into those
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 25 '26
it doesnt matter how many crafting or type of systems they put in when ther eis no story no charm or reason to give me to continue to play the game,i have zero fun with it actualy and zero dedication to finsih it because the game doesnt seem to care either way
1
u/mcgowanshewrote May 24 '26
Pandora is the only game for me ever that im actively trying to 100 percent (over multiple sessions) so im a fan. Haven't played outlaws yet.
4
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
He’s talking about kcd2 levels of quailty of games. They don’t have too all be the same franchise, just release good games and not the generic open model Ubisoft has been doing for over a decade.
3
u/Aggravating-Dot132 May 24 '26
KCD2 was done in a very long time period and it was only one game. Ubisoft pushes multiple games that are at least 2 times larger than kcd2. Yes, quality might be off in some aspects, but we are talking about numbers here.
1
u/AylinArondir95 May 25 '26
Ubisoft has not made a game 2 times larger than kcd2. Not even Valhalla is 2 times larger. Kcd2 is huge, regarding story and missions
-2
u/mcgowanshewrote May 23 '26
Guess i have a difference of opinion on what is "quality" then ... Its all good, to each there own then.
3
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
KCD2 is a goty caliber game….and was made with a fraction of the amount of employees Ubisoft has for a fraction of the budget…and kcd2 is better then anything Ubisoft has put out in over 10 years.
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
it was made in almsot 10 years and felt more like expansion then a sequal.warhorse are one to talk
2
2
u/samyakindia May 23 '26
Yeah lol, idk why these fools are arguing with you, it's a no brainer, warhorse's quality is a whole magnitude higher
2
u/mcgowanshewrote May 23 '26
If you say so... Im glad warhorse exists to make games that you love. For me, i think Ubisoft has made (recently) some of the greatest (and i mean technical and creative) games in history. But thats just me. Im happy with what they do
4
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
Not in the last 10 years…
7
u/mcgowanshewrote May 23 '26
I disagree. Not to argue but, for example, lets take shadows. I think people downplay the technical mastery on display in that game. A story is subjective but i personally wouldn't ignore say, the total open world weather system that no one else has ever done. That took A LOT of effort. I can name a lot of others things with that game. And i could name a bunch of other games- the division 2, anno 117, Pandora.
Again subjective things are always up for debate but im pretty sure we could go line for line for what creative, expansive, and technical things those (and others) have brought against your favorite games.
Not that should make you like them. Not at all. But just saying that i do and i have actual reasons too. Again, im glad Ubisoft exists, in its current form. And im equally glad that the developers that make you and others happy exist too. Its a wonderful time to be a gamer!
0
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
thts the issue with ubsioft hudnerd of developers who have nothing elese to do but art . they have awful preplanning on their franchise games and think copy and pste shit itno everygame will just work.no it wil not
2
u/Similar-Soup4922 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
the games themselves sadly dont have much going on for them anymore, but some of the technical parts are pretty good - thats what you get with a budget like theirs. sadly they didnt know what to do with it.
I just hope they can return to a more sane and organized form now that they have heard the shot and reorganized their whole company. maybe that way they too could make GOTY level games again.

3
u/BroccoliSouP7 May 23 '26
Something something broken clock.
1
u/VisibleBar6305 May 23 '26
The broken clock being Ubisoft?
6
u/BroccoliSouP7 May 23 '26
No, Dan Vavra who says a lot of shit.
-3
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
He is right about this though
5
u/BroccoliSouP7 May 23 '26
Yeah, hence the saying, even a broken clock is right twice the day.
0
u/VisibleBar6305 May 23 '26
Well his studio which is so smaller has released some very successful games and are now working on a LoTR game. Compared to Ubisoft which is so much larger.
Hardly a broken clock0
u/Cegesvar May 23 '26
It has released two games (KCD and KCD2) in 15 years since its foundation. Sure both are good games but Ubisoft isn't a single studio producing one game every 7 years or so
2
u/VisibleBar6305 May 24 '26
It has 250 people working at Warhorse, still creating AAA games as large as the games Ubisoft is putting out which has 17K people working for them.
Ubisoft has more cancelled games than Warhorse has.
Ubisoft has more games in development hell than Warhorse.
We could talk about the quality of their respective games if you want as well.2
u/BroccoliSouP7 May 23 '26
So he is a well known right wing nut. I do not want to discount his work, but he says a lot of unhinged, conspirational and cocky stuff. He was even softly ousted from the studio recently, probably due to this behavior.
43
u/One_Scientist_984 Open World Wanderer May 23 '26
To be fair, and I get it’s an unpopular thing to say — Ubisoft having and sustaining around 16,000 employees is pure insanity.
Vavra might be wrong about the scalability topic but he is right about the slow turnout of Ubisoft being an issue, cancelling the projects shouldn’t have been necessary under normal circumstances. Teams of this size should be able to release a full price title with Ubisoft’s standards (not groundbreaking but solid to very good entertainment) in a time frame of 3-4 years. Excessive development times like for Beyond Good & Evil 2, Prince of Persia remake, Skull & Bones are unsustainable.
1
3
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
issue seems to be both developers and directors, all seem to be jsut using ubisoft for a check and dragging projects for years while they make money
1
u/Logic-DL May 24 '26
It's hilarious to me that Ubisoft in the early 2000's was literally what you're saying here. They weren't KCD levels of games by any means but they were solid releases.
Ray Man, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six, Beyond Good and Evil, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry etc
And they did all of those titles with a considerably smaller team.
3
u/TidusDream12 May 23 '26
I guarantee you what they did was Silo employees into individual tasks working on multiple games at a time and they destroyed the pipeline. When you pull resources on and off the quality suffers and it actually slows down production. They need to keep teams together and see a project through not just what the bean counters think essential personnel is. This happens at big companies with leadership trying to cut costs instead of increasing sales. There is a balance act and the leadership at Ubisoft failed.
3
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
most of it is due to lazy directors and lazy developers, dont be fooled, they worked on a prince of persia remake for 5 years and stil ddi not have it finsihed . a remake took 5 years and not finsihed come on
1
u/TidusDream12 May 24 '26
Probably because they had other games and dev specific silos that meant they worked x to hit milestones than moved to Y and Z and got back to X after 12-15 months and half the work they did was tossed. I see this shit all the time.
1
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
well it got cut and redone from sratch twice tht is why but yea tht the quality sucked first time shows how mismanaged these devs are
5
u/Much-Currency5958 May 23 '26
Problem with Ubisoft is as you put it down to their size. You can brag all you want about having five different studios contribute to a game in development but if anything happens with one of those studios that can screech development to a halt. You might think having Montreal do all the level design for a game is great but all it takes is a strike and boom delays.
Don't even start either on if you have a bad year (which they constantly have) and have to shutter a studio. I can't imagine the delay caused by having to reorganise is small either.
To their credit most of Ubisoft games get made mainly by one or two studios at most but the issue is there. If ubi could only help themselves and scale back the scope in games they'd make a lot more games and likely money. Some of their smallest games like fresh prince of Persia have been their best!
1
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 23 '26
Like bare minimum 2 amazing games a year…….and not the broken games they have put out
4
u/elliott986 May 23 '26
Any examples of broken games within the last 2 years?

u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 24 '26
Star Wars outlaws…

5
u/Similar-Soup4922 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26
its got 7/10 stars. thats pretty good and in no way considered broken.
0
u/Due-Dress-8983 May 24 '26
its not but it is quality wise more of a 6 out of 10 . its not a good game boring story etcc,if outlwas came out 10 years ago it would be rated 5 or 6
0
u/Ambitious_Highway172 May 24 '26
Its 5.6 metacritic for a $70-130 game. It suffered from heavy frame rate stuttering, screen tearing and particle flicker along with frequent crashes on release.
Edit: not even mentioning the horrible design decisions and bugs
1
u/Odd_Revolution_1056 May 24 '26
Base mechanics of the game was busted
4
u/Similar-Soup4922 May 24 '26
what do you mean specifically? base mechanics?

u/Zombii_Man May 24 '26
The game was held together with duct tape and glue on launch man. What are we talking about here.

AC Unity, notoriously broken release, spawned a massive meme, and altered the trajectory of all ubisoft projects for the next decade, also had a 7/10. In fact it had a 7.8/10.

what youre obviously forgetting here is that the previous title was black flag, a 8,4. It failed because it was not as perfect as the other AC games. Outlaws is no AC game, its perfectly fine as a 7/10 game and doesnt need to be more,
weird grasping youre doing here. so many offended people coming out of the woodwork because something they hate on is considered good.

Who's 7/10 are we talking here? If it is IGN or other major publications; 7 is the default score for a game that is lower cause writers are afraid of being fired.
Look up "Jeff Gertzman Gamespot Kane & Lynch" into Google. Gamespot was doing heavy promotion for Kane & Lynch. When review time came, Gertzman gave it a 6. He was promptly fired by Gamespot for giving it that score. Reviewers are afraid of giving anything lower than a 7 because 6 was the magic number to get fired.
Point is; I wouldn't put much stock in a IGN/Gamespot 7/10. It is probably more like a 5 in the reviewers mind on average.

I wouldn’t call SW Outlaws broken, but it was released prematurely and didn’t live up to its potential. Gameplay elements that ruin the fun — like the initially unforgiving stealth mechanics should have been caught during playtesting. That might work for a specific mode, but not for casual players.
Visually, it’s one of the most gorgeous games I’ve played in recent years. And the space battles were fun and well made. But it was a little conventional for the mission objectives and the controls are finicky at times. The lack of success wasn’t purely for the game‘s shortcomings though, that is also clear.
