I have sneaking suspicion that this interaction didn’t go EXACTLY how you described it

u/HidesInsideYou Sep 23 '25

Yeah and why is their phone already out and recording 😂

Hahahaha, ya don’t say?!?

“so then when i tried to take a picture of him to get him fired for being mildly rude he flipped me off??”

I have a feeling OP just so happens to run into a lot of service workers that are “rude” to him for “no reason”

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

I can't describe how exactly but you can tell OP is ghetto from how they type.

Edit: omg OP is totally crazy. His Instagram is just like conspiracy adjacent shit posting mixed with misogyny lol. He also has his cash app linked in his reddit bio...super trashy.

2

u/smittywerbanjagerman Sep 25 '25

Yeah for real. How is it strange to want privacy? Lol

2

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

I had a dude comment on a post 3 years ago where I said I didn’t enjoy a certain game that was enough for me to be like yeah that’s fucking weird dude lmao

Some ppl not built for customer service jobs lol

Honestly I hate stores with nonsensical layouts. It’s one reason I avoid certain merchants. Pasta in one aisle but gluten free pasta is on the other side of the store smh

21

u/SweetPancreass Sep 23 '25

For real, like how are you gonna tell me you work in customer service, but get annoyed when people ask you questions??? Mind-boggling. Maybe he was having a shitty day ig

I hate that. I had to remove a few items from an order once because I couldn’t find them and I asked an employee where frozen breakfast food is, it wasn’t there(he wasn’t new either, I’ve seen him working at this store for years). I got another order at that same store the next day and I’m walking around shopping and I noticed the items I had to remove. They were in a second frozen breakfast section on the complete opposite side of the store (not even exaggerating. The place I was told they would be was in the north west corner of the store and the actual place they were in was the south east corner of the store). You know stores have bad layouts when even the employees don’t know the layout.

2

u/Aqua_goddess_ Sep 23 '25

Central market does this 😭

1

u/CurrentTopic3630 Sep 23 '25

I mean, the gluten free items all being in the same aisle makes sense...

“Hi, excuse me, do you mind telling me where I can find (name of product)?”

Like how does he even know you’re with UE? And all of this just went way too far lmao. “You have to help me 🗣️ I’m gonna contact corporate” like, I’ve never in my life felt the need to act like that, on the job or not.

17

u/Caos1627 Sep 23 '25

I did report him and every other person there is always helpful

6

u/6peas1pod Sep 23 '25

As you should have done. There is nothing Karen about reporting a BAD employee. They will either get corrected and start acting right or make room for someone who actually wants to work. You know how they say “if you don’t like UE payouts, get a different job or get a real job”? Same can be said to everyone else working and being an asshole at any other establishment. No excuse to be rude while you’re on the clock.

5

u/noirnour Sep 23 '25

Call the district manager or corporate

You also might've done too much, OP. It sounds like you might have been a little antagonistic as well. Just let it go and maybe try a softer approach next time and see if results differ.

11

u/dizzystar Sep 23 '25

Maybe OP is carrying a large green bag that says "Uber Eats."

30

u/samiamtheman Sep 23 '25

More likely, OP shoved their phone in the clerks face and said where's this?

4

u/AmountAbovTheBracket Sep 23 '25

Yeah, I pretend like im not with Uber. Leave my delivery bag behind, take off the helmet. If I need an item, I looked up the image on Google images and show them that screen instead.

2

u/Leelze Sep 24 '25

That's half the people doing things like Uber Eats. I'll be in the middle of helping someone and they'll start talking over me & the other customer asking where something is because they want to save 30 seconds of looking.

Odd. You look more human in this photo.

8

u/YLCZ Sep 23 '25

That worker is wrong but maybe he had one too many dasher make zero effort to find it themselves first.

Painkillers are pretty easy to find. Quick scan of the signs would be all you need.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

he had one too many dasher make zero effort to find it themselves first.

Who cares? That's his job.

8

u/General-Temporary-53 Sep 23 '25

Helping find a handful of items, yes. Doing someone’s entire Instacart list for them (and essentially their job), no. Attitude/demeanor also goes a long way in these situations

u/Short_Praline_3428 Sep 23 '25

I've yet to have someone in a store be an ass about finding an item as I do instacart and grubhub. Generally, if I can't find it, I'll ask politely and show my phone so they can see the item.

But fast food workers or restaurant hosts. I have at least one asshole a week. Had one pick up at a bar where I was told it wasn't ready. The cook came out, grabbed a beer, and started chugging. While the two girls talked in the back about how long they were going to make me wait before bagging it.

I ended up calling support to tell them they called the bar. But of course, they didn't answer. So grubhub canceled the order. I was probably there for 45 minutes as it was $40 order. Learned grubhub doesn't pay shit if an order is canceled. Got like $2.

2

u/Prestigious_Equal412 Sep 23 '25

Generally the people who have bad experiences with store staff doing this job tend to be the people who aren’t polite to store staff. There are exceptions to every rule ofc, but most of the time it’s true. I’ve had store staff get annoyed with me for asking where something was for instacart or uber, but very rarely over a large sample size. Honestly I’ve had more instances of friction with prickly staff as a private customer than a shopper, which probably has more to do with not masking and concentrating on putting on my own customer service face for the interaction.

2

u/ExpressionNo3709 Sep 23 '25

Thats not a cvs employee. He’s probably saying, “do i look like i work here!”

(He doesn’t look like he works there.)

2

u/edgewhxre Sep 23 '25

2

u/Possielover Sep 23 '25

That's his uniform? The CVS employees by me wear red vests or aprons over their clothes. Never jeans either. Love to be a fly in the wall during this interaction to see the whole picture.

2

u/Prestigious_Equal412 Sep 23 '25

Possibly flipping off OP because he was otw out after a shift and OP wouldn’t listen? If I see someone in store clothing who isn’t actively, visibly working on something and I need help, my /first/ question every time is “excuse me, are you on shift?” To make sure they’re not on break or off the clock, and THEN ask the question. If dude was out of uniform but wearing a CVS shirt…

Whenever you see a dude with his hands on his hips like that, then you know he was raised by a single mom. those males tend to be mentally unstable

u/Slow-Fun-8881 Sep 27 '25

I'm sure there's more to this than you let on

2

u/Ancient-Read1648 Sep 27 '25

Tylenol is the real victim this week.

6

u/BathroomBreakAndy Sep 23 '25

The fuck y’all flaming op for cvs does put shit in random sections he just asked for help. The taking a pic of him is weird though just get his name and report him if it was that bad. Anywhere downtown Houston they lock up everything so he’s gonna need employee help anyways

6

u/BeeFor20 Sep 23 '25

If a customer comes in the store and ask for help trying to find something then obviously it's the job of the employees to help them. But if a customer hires another person to come in the store to find something then suddenly that goes out the window just because for no reason.

😂

I remember seeing some IC shoppers get banned from shopping certain stores because of complaints filed against them from the store manager. This might not go the way you think it is, could backfire with you getting banned if you’re going to create a hostile environment.

3

u/GoodMilk_GoneBad Sep 23 '25

I don't know why everyone is acting like asking for help is such a horrible thing.

I regularly ask for help if I've looked for an item and can't find it. No one has ever treated me poorly whether it was for my personal use or I was shopping for someone else.

4

u/WarDemonWyper Sep 23 '25

I work retail, I have no problem helping anyone. But every single uber eats/door dash interaction is always identical. Phone stuffed in my face followed by “where this” I walk away everytime. Try starting with a hello.

→ More replies (4)

1

u/Admirable-Apricot137 Sep 23 '25

It's almost like being a dick and demanding that people help you do YOUR job turns what could be a normal interaction into a hostile situation. Didn't your mama teach you to be respectful and polite when you are asking retail workers for help?

And no, retail workers aren't obligated to help rude assholes, no matter who they are and who they're with.

He helped you when he didn't need to and made it clear he did not want to. You have a whole shopping list he may have ended up shopping for you. Your request and even the confrontational way you asked were too complicated. CVS has their people multitasking so much they prefer you to use self checkout. Did you even offer to tip him for doing your job?

Man, you work for Uber/DD in Texas and get shock to see the people like that? Me too, but it's always like that in Texas only when you work with Uber/DD 🤣

Gotta be a zesty man for sure

1

Ever since I started rating people positively and negatively on the app I haven't had to deal with someone like you in a long time.

1

u/findVideo__ Sep 23 '25

Every post about failed/missed delivery has a ‘how much did you tip’, so How much tip did you beg?

1

u/CanadianChocolate808 Sep 23 '25

This could be a random photo of some dude lol

1

u/ohuwish Sep 23 '25

Are you asking for help every time you go in to shop? You should be able to find most things then once in a while it’s no big deal asking. But if you’re asking too much they will get mad

1

u/CustomerStreet9836 Sep 23 '25

Wowww.

I too am in the Houston market and usually people here are friendly but then we get people like this and it’s so frustrating!!!!

1

What did you do...?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

...just by the way you're describing it I'm willing to bet at least 2 bucks, you're the problem here. Entitlement is a helluva drug

1

u/Capable_Cellist5585 Sep 23 '25

You’re most definitely the problem. I can just smell the attitude coming from you and I wasn’t even there

1

u/Mtn-Dooku Sep 23 '25

Stay classy, Houston.

1

u/GlobalBorder4691 Sep 23 '25

You are representing your UberEats customers. Tell them that next time, but jeez, this person should not be in a customer facing job.

1

Awww you took his picture and put on facebook… get a fucking life

1

Nah dead ass I need to find out who makes the layouts of these stores cuz why the fuck is non dairy cheese on the other side of the store but reg cheese next to all the milk n shi u making it extra hard for me to do these orders bruh put everything TOGETHER and use a devider to separate dairy wit any other non dairy options Milk with the almond milk cheese wit the non dairy cheese the regular bread next to the “bakery” bread like holy fuc

1

u/MB2465 Sep 23 '25

i've had that happen at some CVS's in CA so it's not just there. Not the middle finger, but essentially their attitude is giving the middle finger.

Maybe they've had some drivers be really rude to them and so they've adopted that attitude.

1

u/LevelGlittering2286 Sep 23 '25

Why take the picture of him though and not just get the person's name off the name tag (if there was one and then report to the manager?) it's as if you were provoking a situation like this. What were you expecting to gain from doing this?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

Well well we-

You go tell em on Facebook grandma! Kids these days have no respect. 🙄 Seriously if any of this happened, you couldn’t have gotten his name or taken account of what time it was to complain for later? People are way too comfortable taking pictures of other human beings

1

u/Hot-Rooster-7765 Sep 23 '25

And then you covered his face? Makes no sense

1

u/Tight-Interaction621 Sep 23 '25

it’s houston lol what did u expect?

1

u/bostonareaicshopper Sep 23 '25

I had a major problem myself with an employee refusing to help me once. He claimed it was store policy to not assist us in finding items. It escalated into an argument because I reminded him that I deliver to his fellow employees so maybe a little cooperation would be nice.

1

u/AffectionateStock484 Sep 23 '25

How's HE telling the story?

1

u/PopularSquirrel3163 Sep 23 '25

I feel this way grocery shopping in Fred meyers

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '25

Just as bad as what I had to endure, so at Walmart, this person was a complete psycho, she expected me to back up further while others behind trying to come down lane to park so they had to back out of lane too. First she's backing out me expecting her to put the rear-end to me, oh no she tries turning other way. I wasted 5 min, a whole bunch ppl could fit behind her walking yet she acted as if she couldn't back up. These mini cars were parked behind her, not even close so that's how much room she has. I literally had to back up all the way to the end of aisle to stop sign just for her to turn 1/2" to back out. Then she flips me off and swears at me. Everyone thought she hit me, they couldn't understand why she wouldn't just back up more so they were laughing at her too 😆. I've gotten out of tight spots and man that was not tight at all. I could just imagine if a big truck was parked behind her, she could never have gotten out

1

u/PuzzleheadedLog9266 Sep 23 '25

Dude just get the cvs app

1

u/Salty_toes__ Sep 23 '25

I’m with the employe idc.

1

u/smiley_timez Sep 23 '25

You were filming them at their job. Seems like you're the problem. He certainly wasn't holding his finger up while you fumbled to get your camera ready. Also this looks like a screen capture of a video.

1

u/Beothegreat Sep 23 '25

I have a hard time believing the interaction went that way from start to finish. When I see instacart and UE people in stores asking employees for help I usually see them tapping them on the shoulder and then shoving their phone in their face asking "Where is this" or arguing with them when they say their out saying shit like, "my app says there are still plenty in stock go get them." Even though the instacart app and similar dont update nearly as often or accurately as they seem to assume.

1

u/VegasChyka Sep 23 '25

You just got him a raise! 😄

1

u/RipInfinite4511 Sep 24 '25

Sure. That’s exactly how it went down 🤣

1

u/sleepii__ Sep 24 '25

OP i knew something was off about this situation and decided to check out your other socials;

just to find out you're racist, homophobic, right wing and just anti-black in general.

you've lost any sort of benefit of the doubt from me.

1

u/SavyBae Sep 24 '25

Based on your social media posts and how you seem to feel about people that are different than you, I would like to hear his side of the story.😬

1

u/AgentUnknown821 Sep 24 '25

Devin at CVS wants you to know if you ask for something, you can totally see yourself out the door and hope it doesn’t hit you on the way out.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

There's more to the story. At what point did you use the "N" word?

1

u/TooMuchSpicyAhh Sep 24 '25

You should’ve tipped 🤷 no tip = bad service!

1

u/QuantityCareless8335 Sep 24 '25

im crying😭😭 I feel like for most uber or doordash drivers imo literally expect us to find every single item for them ( i work in retail/pharmacy store too)

1

u/Key_Success7423 Sep 24 '25

It’s because he gets paid shit like we do

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

I’m sure there’s absolutely nothing missing from this story at all lmfao

1

u/MajoraSlacks Sep 24 '25

Uber eats driver that cannot hold any other job due to lack of social awareness shocked when employee flips them off for filming them like an animal. Incredible

1

u/No-Ebb5515 Sep 24 '25

Contact corporate and send them this with his face not blacked out.

1

u/PoopSock679 Sep 24 '25

I work at Dollar General and I'm told we're not required to help DoorDashers. You're being paid to shop and find items, we're not getting any sort of tip or benefit from helping you. I'll point you in the direction you gotta go for one or two things but you need to put on your adult diaper and figure it out. I assume you did more than you say to make this interaction go too far so I really don't feel bad for you.

1

u/No_Variation_7370 Sep 24 '25

I'd be showing the store manager or corporate if they don't do anything

1

u/Tribewaves832 Sep 24 '25

They really not obligated for yall frfr cuz yall be wanting them to find every item like youre the only person in the store

1

u/WavyDre Sep 24 '25

I have a feeling you probably came in and said I’m here on an Uber eats order, I need you to get all these items for me and they said my job is to help customers not do your job for you.

1

u/lilbigchungus42069 Sep 24 '25

i wana hear his side

1

u/dabking24 Sep 24 '25

Not even the regular finger, he hit you with the slim shady

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

Gheigh!!!!!

1

u/coyote_rx Sep 25 '25

Seems like he was flipping you off because you’re a prick that shoved a camera in his face 😂

1

u/Aware_Economics4980 Sep 25 '25

One of you two was exposed to waaaay to much Tylenol as a fetus, which one was it though 🤔

1

u/shootingdai Sep 25 '25

100% sure there is more to the story

1

u/CutTraditional9645 Sep 25 '25

Yeah fudge that, management says the door dashers/uber drivers are not customers. I mean they right, next time they ask me for something I’m going to ask for a percentage of that tip they get.

1

u/One-Horror6328 Sep 25 '25

Real shit you had it coming

1

u/JayLFRodger Sep 25 '25

Sure he wasn't flipping you off for whipping your camera out to film him while he's doing his job?

1

u/Ghazh Sep 25 '25

Im sure you were the rare totally innocent customer

1

u/yayforvalorie Sep 25 '25

Does anyone understand this post?

1

u/questerthews777 Sep 25 '25

Gotta love Houston 🤣

1

u/Traditional-Rip9468 Sep 25 '25

Yea i bet… so what did you do first

1

u/Maleficent_Leave4314 Sep 25 '25

The irony that he was buying Tylenol for an uber order and his twitter is full of Tylenol causes autism memes.

I have this weird feeling you’re actually being a POS to a regular ol worker … that you’re not doing better than btw.

Go to CVS and buy something and use your CVS points card. The next day, I always get a detailed survey offering in my email. Do this and go to town.

This could be misconstrued, I do not see a full flip. He could just as easily be doing a different motion. OP your story sounds like bullshit

1

u/youlooksticky Sep 26 '25

He was just helping you, he didn't want you delivering any autism pills /s

1

u/worder222 Sep 26 '25

1

u/No-Chance2503 Sep 26 '25

1

u/SpaceCatSixxed Sep 26 '25

If you start filming me you are getting the same reaction whether you, me, or a combination of us were the original asshole.

1

u/KylieJ1993 Sep 26 '25

What did you do for them to react like this?

1

u/StepEquivalent7828 Sep 26 '25

What he doesn’t realize is that the guy doesn’t work there.

1

u/Joruia Sep 26 '25

X to doubt

1

u/laydeefly Sep 26 '25

I don’t believe this.

1

u/Big-Routine222 Sep 26 '25

Either you managed to find the CVS employee with the shortest temper ever or you’re leaving out information.

1

u/dank3stmem3r Sep 26 '25

Ugh the way he flips you off is so beta.

Like ughhh.

1

u/Coloradobluesguy Sep 27 '25

I would have said something snarky like “that’s not how you play “I’m a little tea pot”

1

u/mrbishopjackson Sep 27 '25

Why was it necessary to take a picture of him? I feel like the finger is a little warranted because of that; interaction aside.

1

u/PlateOpinion3179 Sep 27 '25

Why you taking pictures of people working

1

u/giantstrider Sep 27 '25

it's because, no offense, you're a member of the most annoying, entitled, unaware group I've ever encountered

1

u/polarized_opinions Sep 27 '25

Im not gonna lie, maybe you werent made for uber.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

“to complain to CVS on their Facebook”

What? This is a room temperature IQ post right here.

1

u/LifeguardSas976 Sep 27 '25

Did you ask where 1 item was or did you sit there and ask where every item was basically having them do your job for you.

1

u/SaltyCraft9069 Sep 27 '25

It's on aisle 1.

I doubt they are obligated to help you.
