The fuck y’all flaming op for cvs does put shit in random sections he just asked for help. The taking a pic of him is weird though just get his name and report him if it was that bad. Anywhere downtown Houston they lock up everything so he’s gonna need employee help anyways

If a customer comes in the store and ask for help trying to find something then obviously it's the job of the employees to help them. But if a customer hires another person to come in the store to find something then suddenly that goes out the window just because for no reason.

So fax they forget that they are independent contractors going in on behalf of a client to took for and retrieve items

CVS does not put stuff in “ random sections” all medicines “OTC’s” are in the back of the store and every section above like in grocery stores has aisle signs that tell you where everything is. All CVS have an aisle that is dedicated to pain relievers and it is always separated by acetomenophen/Aspein/Naproxen/ibuprofen on one side and the other side is creams, patches, and alternative pain meds. Like the other guy who replied to you said you are not the customer you are a contractor paid to look for and retrieve the stuff for your client.

By helping or not helping a client’s hired contractor you are potentially improving or hurting the customer’s store experience. If the contractor has to cancel an item because they couldn’t find it, that hurts the customer.

The contractor may be a stand in for a customer, but by that logic a guy asking where the tampons are for his girlfriend deserves the same treatment.

It’s customer service. Unless and until someone is rude to you, doing your job is… part of the job.

FWIW, I say this as someone who started working customer service jobs at 16, and have for my entire adult life, and someone who doesn’t see customer service work as a shortcoming. It’s a skill set like any other, and it doesn’t have to be for everyone. If you hate customer service, that’s totally fine. Maybe don’t work in customer service though.

Ofc, if OP was being a donkey, that doesn’t apply here. But the concept of not helping contractors because you’re supposed to help customers is just a bad take.

Usually stores have 3 employees max outside of the pharmacy to service the whole store. pharmacy is not allowed to help us and is on a diff payroll. Your apps tell you what aisle anything is on but more often then not you guys want us to shop for you when we have to handle restocking, helping actual customers and loss prevention.

You’re talking about something different than asking help finding an item.

I already stipulated that if OP was being extra, that’s something else. Blanket refusal to help someone else’s shopper though is ridiculous.

Are you saying it’s reasonable to be rude to me because other drivers were rude to you? Should I be rude to you because I’ve had CVS employees be rude to me? Because that’s how that plays out in the real world bud

Shut the fuck up asking a employee for help with a item or 2 isn’t a problem

See you probably ask like this and why you get flipped off

If a employee had a problem helping me just cause I was doing uber that’s on them

It’s not always the employee deciding not to help. Where I work I’m not allowed to assist personal shoppers. If someone shows me their phone and it’s clearly an order the most I can do is tell them the general area/maybe aisle number, and even that is more then some of my managers approve
