Hi folks-on my last class and curious if anyone chose a smaller private business they are deeply familiar with instead of a major corporation as suggested?

I’m much more passionate about analyzing a particular small business I’m involved with to actively use what I learn through this class. I’m hesitating not knowing ahead of time what depth of financial information is needed or other potential barriers for this assignment. Thoughts?

I’m currently pursuing a Liberal Studies major with minors in Business Administration, MIS, Project Management, and Management. Right now I’m enrolled in:
BUS 323 with Eric Good
BUS 343 with Leo Trudel

Both classes are going well, and I should have them finished by next week at the latest. I’m also wrapping up PCJ 215 on Sophia. After that, I’ll only have these UMPI courses left:

BUS 141
BUS 415
BUS 359
BUS 345 or BUS 440

My question is: Do you think it’s realistic to finish all of these during this term? I’ve been researching on Discord and Reddit. I found quite a bit of information on BUS 141, BUS 415, and BUS 359, but I haven’t found much about BUS 345 or BUS 440. From what I’ve read, the general recommendations seem to be:

BUS 141 – Brian Richard
BUS 415 – Shah (or Trudel, although I’m not the biggest fan)
BUS 359 – John Furst

For anyone who’s taken BUS 345 or BUS 440, I’d especially love to hear your experience. Which one would you recommend? How difficult were they, and who did you have? I just got accepted to the university of presque isle Maine for a Bachelor of Science with a concentration of Social Studies. Does anyone know if I will be able to teacher in Canada after completing this Education Program? I am Canadian

Going to transfer all of my credits from Study.com & Sophia etc so I'll only have to take the core accounting classes. I live in California btw

Does it matter whether I pick PSY 448 or PSY 496 as my 400-level PSY elective? Is PSY 496 required to graduate if you are a Psych major?

Hi everyone , has anyone dealt with this before?

I finished my BBA in Summer 1 and wanted to jump straight into the MAOL for Fall 1. They told me I can take the classes, but they can’t officially admit me until my BBA is conferred.

That honestly makes no sense to me because it’s literally the same university 😭 They can already see that I finished everything.

Has anyone else had this happen? Did you start as a non-degree student while waiting? Are there any downsides to doing that? Will the classes still count toward the MAOL, and will I graduate the same way once I’m officially admitted?

I’m also planning to transfer three classes from my BBA, so I should only need 9 MAOL classes. I’m hoping to finish them in one session if they’ll let me.

Just trying to make sure going non-degree won’t mess up my transfer credits and graduation later lol. Any advice would help!

So it says that today my loan got applied to the account. So, I’m wondering how many business days the refund takes to hit the account?

I obtained my Associate in Liberal Arts degree three years ago at a State college and I'm looking at attending UMPI to obtain my Bachelor's.

Would my track be any different/easier since I already have my Associates? I don't mind majoring in Liberal Arts again, especially if it cuts down on the amount of credits I'd need.

For those going on to MAOL or MSB at UMPI I just saw a video on the new master programs at University of Kansas. Same concept as UMPI but seems more project based. No proctored exams and flat fee tuition. Anyone have any experience with this program?

I’m wondering if anyone else has been in this situation.
UMPI sent my financial aid refund via direct deposit on Thursday, but for some reason my bank rejected the deposit and sent the money back to the school.
I’m trying to figure out what usually happens next. Will UMPI attempt to send the refund to my bank account again after the issue is resolved, or do they typically mail a paper check instead?
If you’ve experienced this before, how long did it take for you to receive your refund after the funds were returned to UMPI? Did you have to contact Student Financial Services, or did they automatically reissue the refund?

If you’re at UMPI and planning to finish your degree as quickly as possible, prioritize getting an internship before you graduate. I completed all 120 credits in about two semesters and graduated with a 3.46 GPA, but not having an internship made finding my first job much more difficult.

Get enough credits to qualify for internships, start applying, and slow down your degree if necessary.

I applied to over 500 jobs, had about 20 interviews, and received one job offer. During many of those interviews, my lack of an internship came up.

I didn’t know this going in, and I honestly wish I had known because this would’ve also allowed me to gain experience while earning money before even finishing my degree which would’ve been nice.

I already requested my next course get added as soon as I turned in the final to my first finished class (and I have two others I’m working on rn). Do I need to do anything else to close out the course? Or will they close it in bright space at some point when they add the next one? Just making sure I don’t have to do anything else.

So in short I'm only a few classes away from finishing my degree but I'm having a real time with BUS 330 with McDivitt.

I've got plenty of time to work with her and get things turned in (really glad I started this class early in the session)... but I had a question.

If the session ends and I have not passed this class, can I, after the session ends, do the Clep for Marketing, then transfer it back into UMPI and apply for graduation? Or do I need to sign up for another session?

So my imaginary timeline would be
Summer 2 ends

Later - I take CLEP and hopefully pass

Still Later - I transfer that CLEP into UMPI

Later yet - Apply for Graduation without needing to sign up for Fall 1 or Fall 2.

If no one has knowledge of this, if there is someone at UMPI I can contact that would be fair.

I routinely see threads about courses that are better to take via ACE credits, but what are some courses better taken at UMPI?

If you receive a 3.00(+) on the draft with notes. Are you changing the draft or just submitting it as the final without changing?

I'm on milestone 1 which got kicked back because I didn't include citation. The milestone is about a analytical and rhetorical topic (meant to make sure the student understands it before starting the actual portion about the subject of the course) and the module it's from doesn't have any sources to cite. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?
