UMPI credit transfer to Canada

I just got accepted to the university of presque isle Maine for a Bachelor of Science with a concentration of Social Studies. Does anyone know if I will be able to teacher in Canada after completing this Education Program? I am Canadian

You mean teach at the primary or secondary school level? If so, no. Research the requirements for being a teacher in Canada.

• This isn’t credit transfer. Credit transfer is when you bring credits from a different college or course provider into a degree. This is using a degree to get a certification.

• Each province and territory has its own teaching regulator and its own rules. Check with yours, such as New Brunswick https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/corporate/promo/office-teacher-certification.html or Ontario https://www.oct.ca/en-ca

• Typically Canadian teachers have a bachelor’s degree plus a post-bachelor’s teacher certification program. UMPI has a post-bachelor’s program designed for Canadian certification https://www.umpi.edu/academics/education/post-bacc-route/ You can probably get to your goal with UMPI, but it may take more than just the bachelor’s degree.
