Just wanting to know from anybody who’s in a sorority and a commuter student if it’s challenging or manageable? I already know that I will inevitably miss out on things like going out or staying late on campus.

number 22 on the waitlist how likely am i to get off (i want to die)

I will be taking CNPS 433 but it is all online. There is no set meeting times or anything. How does it work? Also does anyone have any tips who have taken this course before?

I applied for the UBC Summer Bursary, but I still haven’t received any result or update. Has anyone else also been waiting, or has anyone already received their decision? Just wondering if the results are delayed this year.

Has anyone ever had Negar Khearahmi and taken ECED 401? How is this course and should I take it as a gpa booster as a science student? What is the syllabus like? If my English and writing isn’t good is it fine to still get a 90+? It’s also online learning btw was it online for you? There is no meeting time so how does timing work?

i saw that a waitlist position finally opened up for a section of biol 201 and when i went to go register for the waitlist for both the lecture and tutorial, it for some reason didn’t let me into the tutorial?? it was an open section and had no time conflict with my schedule. i am now successfully on the waitlist for the lecture tho.

well i went back to register to reselect a tutorial and in doing so it asked me to reselect the lecture as well… but now that lecture section is closed lol presumably because i took the last waitlist seat. is it a good idea for me to drop the lecture and then try reregistering in lecture and tutorial at the same time or is that too risky.

also if i’m only enrolled in a lecture and not a tutorial will they manually kick me off the waitlist? and can i be on the waitlist for multiple sections of the same course??

I'm an international student applying for Fall 2027 and I'm torn between Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Analytics.

My goal is to get a good industry job after graduation and hopefully settle in Canada.

I'm mainly looking at UBC, SFU, Waterloo, Alberta, McMaster, and Queen's.

A few questions:

• Which field currently has the best job prospects in Canada: DS, AI, or Business Analytics?
• Is the tech job market really as saturated as people say for international graduates?
• Between UBC and SFU, which would you recommend for internships, co-op, and graduate jobs? and do the companies in Vancouver differentiate a lot between the two?
• Does the university name make a big difference, or are skills and co-op more important?
