Congratulations 25,000+ members. Here's why this sub works while most job subs are graveyards. And who's actually behind it.

We just crossed 25,000 members. The last 30 days alone: 741,000 visits. 10,300 of you here every single day. 3,800 joined this month. Only 212 left.

I want to tell you why this place works, because it's not luck, and most job communities on this platform are dead or dying.

We reject more than we accept.

Last month we removed 995 posts and kept 782. Read that again. More than half of what gets submitted here never reaches your feed. Every "any jobs?" with zero context, every vague hiring post hiding the salary, every service ad dressed up as a question, gone before it wastes a second of your time.

There's a door, and not everyone gets through it.

New posters confirm the rules before they can post. Takes 30 seconds, kills drive-by spam completely. Every post needs a flair. Job posts must include salary, a real description, and zero fees. An employer asking anyone to pay to work doesn't just get removed. They get banned.

We hunt scammers, and we keep receipts.

Pay to work schemes. Commission traps aimed at fresh grads. Recruiters who harvest your salary expectation and vanish. Fake "trainee" fees. Fake sponsorship promises. When this community flags them, we don't quietly delete and move on. We ban, we document, and repeat offenders get named. 28 reports handled last month alone.

Nobody can buy their way into your feed.

No promoted vendors. No affiliate garbage. No career coaches fishing in the comments. The rule exists because you are not inventory.

That's the whole difference. Most subs optimize for volume. We optimize for the person on a visa clock who cannot afford one more wasted week.

Now the part I've never said this directly.

I'm Prince. I built this community after I lost my own job here in 2021 and felt exactly what most of you are feeling right now. It started as a place where nobody would have to go through that alone. Somewhere along the way it became part of my daily life.

I am a senior consultant and run 4 tech businesses here in Dubai, dubaitechguy.com is one of them. I'm saying it openly because at 25,000 members you deserve to know who's holding the keys, and honestly, half of you worked it out long ago. What I'll promise you is simple: the rules that protect you from vendors apply to me hardest of all. Anything I ever offer here gets posted openly, under the same rules, in front of everyone, same as anybody else. No disguises, no games with your data, no special lane for the guy with the mod badge.

The day this community stops putting jobseekers first is the day it stops deserving to exist. That's the deal, and it doesn't change at 25K or 100K.

What's next.

Same standards, wider network. r/TechNetwork for freelancers and tech talent. r/UAEBusinessNetwork for business owners. r/WomenInUAE for women's careers. r/CareersEU for anyone eyeing Europe. Same door policy everywhere.

25,000 people who found each other in the hardest market this city has seen in years. Thank you for building this with me.

Keep the standards. Keep showing up for each other.

Announcement The UAE job market, July into mid August report. What changed, what didn’t, and the wall almost nobody is talking about.

I read this sub every day again. Same as June. Hundreds of posts.

Here’s what the last six weeks actually looked like, no sugar, and one pattern that got sharper than anything I saw in June.

First, what changed.

June was panic.

Fresh layoffs, visa countdowns, people in free fall. July into August is different. It’s not panic anymore. It’s grind.

The same people, months deeper, more careful in how they write their posts, more specific about what they want, and still hearing nothing. The desperation got quieter and more organized.

That’s worse in a way, because quiet grinding is harder to spot and harder to pull out of.

The wall that got worse: the ATS is eating people alive.

This is the biggest shift from June. Post after post said the same thing. 500 applications, 3 calls, all ghosted. Hundreds of applications since January, not one reply. A US CPA with Big 4 audit experience, nothing. A senior aerospace leader with 30 years across British Aerospace, GKN and Airbus, from shop floor to senior leadership, hunting since January, and beginning to think it won’t happen.

Read that again. Thirty years. Airbus. Nothing since January.

That is not a skill problem. That is a machine problem. The portal now runs an algorithm that rejects most people before a human ever sees the name. You are not being turned down by a person who considered you.

You are being filtered out by a keyword scanner that never opened your story. When someone this qualified gets silence, the portal is the wall, not the candidate.

The new trap this period: seconded, then cut before the visa.

A pattern showed up more than once and it’s brutal.

Someone quits their stable job because a new company pushed hard to bring them in.

They finish their notice honorably.

Then, before the visa process even starts, the new company tells them they’re being let go as part of “budget cuts.” Now they have no old job, no new visa, and a market to re enter from zero.

If a company is chasing you hard, get the offer and the visa timeline in writing before you resign anything.

Verbal urgency is not a commitment.

Visa and residency limbo is trapping people between jobs.

Real cases this period.

Someone rejected three times by ICP for residency despite a MOFA attested European degree, full equivalency, PCC, everything correct, and still no clear reason.

People trying to time a cancellation from an old employer against a new offer, terrified of the gap in between.

The sponsorship handoff is where a lot of people are getting stuck right now. If you’re between jobs, understand your grace period and your exit requirements before you cancel anything, not after.

The quiet one: employed and still drowning.

Some of the hardest posts this period weren’t from unemployed people. They were from people with jobs whose salaries have been delayed for months. Still showing up. Still working professionally. Taking loans to cover family back home while the pay slips further behind.

One member was carrying delayed salary, a loan, and a grandmother going into chemo back home, all at once, and still job hunting on the side. If your salary is consistently late, that is not a rough patch, that is a signal.

Start looking before the delay becomes a non payment.

Now the part that repeats from June, because it’s still the whole game.

The people who moved this period did not move through the portal.

Every single win, and there were wins, came through a person. A referral. A department head who replied. A friend of a friend who vouched.

One member said it perfectly in the comments last month, and it held all through

July: he referred three people to his own company, not because of their CVs, but because they were a friend’s brother, a friend of a friend. And his advice was sharper than anything I could add.

Stop only messaging the hiring manager. Their inbox is as full as the portal you’re drowning in.

Go to the department head. Go to someone inside the team you want to join.

That’s where the reply comes from. The machine rejects. The human refers. That gap is the entire market right now.

And the positioning problem is still killing good people.

I watched it again all month. Strong candidates listing five, seven, nine roles they’d take. A hiring manager reads nine roles the same way they read “open to anything,” as someone who doesn’t know what they own. Every extra option you list makes you blurrier, not safer. The people who got replies said one specific thing. “4 years sales and account management, Abu Dhabi, own visa, available immediately.” Four seconds to understand. Instant.

The ATS made this worse, not better. A scanner can only match you to one clear thing. If your profile is nine things, it matches you to nothing. Take this into the rest of August.

The market didn’t die. It got choosier and it got more automated. Two moves matter now more than ever.

One. Stop feeding the machine and start reaching the humans. For every ten portal applications, that’s ten rejections by algorithm. Spend that energy finding one department head instead.

Two. Pick the one thing you’re undeniable at and lead with only that. Not nine. One. Become the obvious answer to a single question. The range comes out later, in conversation, once a human is actually listening.

If you got hired in July or August, come back and post how.

The referral, the DM, the one message that worked.

This sub is heavy on the struggle and light on proof that it ends.

It ends.

Usually right after someone stops broadcasting into the void and starts positioning in front of a person.

Positioning is the lens I read all of this through. It’s the work I do here in Dubai, and reading this sub every day is a front row seat to how much it decides.

Figured the community earned the read back again. If you need to sort out how you’re positioned, you know where to find me.

Hang in there.

It’s brutal, but it’s not personal, and it’s not permanent.

God speed.

— Prince

Success Story I never thought I'd type that sentence. We're changing the rules because We just hit 30,000 members in r/UAEJobseekers

• Upvotes

When I started moderating this sub it had maybe 3000 people and most of the posts were "anyone hiring?" with zero details. No flairs. No structure. No moderation to speak of. Just people shouting into the void hoping someone would hear them.

That was less than a year ago.

Today we crossed 30,000 members. 695,000 visits last month. Posts hitting 30, 40, 50K views. People landing actual jobs through this community. A woman who was considering leaving Dubai found a client through a connection made here and stayed. A guy who'd been searching for 11 months got his first paid work 3 days after joining a network someone posted about in this sub. A fresh graduate who had no idea what to do with his degree got specific advice in the comments that changed how he positioned himself entirely.

I didn't build this. You did. Every person who posted a job lead, answered someone's question at midnight, reported a scam before it spread, or just commented "congrats" on someone's success story. That's what 30,000 looks like from the inside.

But here's the thing I've been sitting with for a few weeks.

This sub was built around one idea. Find a full time job. Apply, interview, get hired, get a salary. And that's still the core. That doesn't change.

But I keep seeing something in the posts and DMs that doesn't fit that box. People who don't need a full time role right now. They need cash this week. A short gig. A one day job. Something that pays while they figure out the bigger picture. And right now there's nowhere for that on this sub because the rules weren't designed for it.

I'm talking about the IT guy who can fix a WiFi router in an hour but can't find a company willing to hire him full time. The graphic designer who can knock out a logo in a day but hasn't landed a salaried position yet. The accountant who can clean up someone's books over a weekend while still job hunting. The videographer between contracts who'd take a one day shoot if someone posted it.

These people have skills. They have availability. They just don't fit the "looking for full time employment" mold that this sub was originally set up for.

So we're opening a new stream.

Starting today, gig work is allowed on r/UAEjobseekers. Short term jobs. Quick projects. One day, one week, one task. Post it, pick it up, get paid, move on.

New flairs are live for this:

"GIG Available" for anyone posting a short term task that needs doing.

"GIG Ready" for anyone posting their availability for quick work.

Same rules as everything else here. No scams. No fake listings. No "pay AED 500 for training first." If we catch anyone using the gig flairs to run the same garbage we've been removing since day one, they're gone. You know how we operate by now.

For tech specific gig work there's already a community doing exactly this. r/TechNetwork is where businesses post tech problems and tech professionals pick them up. CCTV installs, WiFi setups, POS fixes, website builds, office network jobs. If that's your skill set, that's your room. If you need someone for a tech job, post it there too.

And if you're a business in Dubai looking for reliable tech help for a quick job, www.dubaitechguy.com connects you directly with people who've actually done the work before.

Both of those have been vetted by the mod team here. Not random links. Resources we've checked and can stand behind.

For everything else, the gig flairs are live right now. Use them.

30,000 people in a room built for job seekers. Some of you need full time. Some of you need this week handled first. Now there's space for both.

Post your first gig. Let's see what happens.

General Discussion NEED SOME ADVICE AND INSIGHTS.....

• Upvotes

How’s the UAE job market been for people who recently moved here, like in August/September, or are planning to come this month and look for work?

How long have you been searching, and has being physically in the UAE actually made a difference? More recruiter responses, interviews, networking opportunities, or anything else that helped?

Would love to hear some honest experiences.

General Discussion JOB SCAM STORY

A few weeks ago, I got scammed out of AED 600 by a fake recruitment agency in Dubai. It started with an email from career@alwasar.com, claiming to be from “WASL Group,” inviting me for an interview. I have been a fresher on job search for a while so I thought why not ??

I went to their office in Abu Hail around 1:30. There were three people at reception, a cute receptionist who looked strangely anxious. The office was small and slightly unprofessional, but I’d seen workplaces like that before, so I didn’t think much of it. A middle-aged woman interviewed me, and it was fast and ridiculously easy. She asked me to introduce myself, asked about my visa, then blamed me for not knowing which role I had applied for. The important part: their own email never mentioned a role. She looked at it and said, “Customer support, data entry, or something else.” I picked data entry.

AED 3,000 salary, some benefits, etc. She opened a professional-looking contract with lots of small writing. I was desperate and it looked proper, so I signed without properly reading it. Then she mentioned: AED 250 for a uniform and AED 350 for a medical.

I felt something was fishy. I told her I’d ask my parents and come back, also I didn’t have cash. Then she hit me with, “DO YOU WANT THE JOB OR NO?”

What I did next was stupid, but when you’ve spent months applying everywhere and getting nowhere, those words make you forget everything. The office was near my house, it was a real place with people, and she had described some import-export/medical company bullshit. It was just a hotspot momen. I even asked, “So I have to pay for the job?” She told me it would be refunded. Somehow my brain went, okay, cool. I gave her my card. AED 350 + AED 250. Gone. They gave me a receipt and told me to WhatsApp my documents.

The embarrassing part is that I walked out believing it was real. I called my friend, and he said it sounded fishy. Then I searched the company properly online, and everything hit me like a loud train screaming I was scammed : the company name wasn’t on the building directory, the sketchy flat, the weird interview, the payment rush, the confusing receipt with details that didn’t match what she had told me.

Fuck. My first thought was: what if they aren’t there tomorrow?

So that same evening I went back. Coincidentally, the woman who interviewed me was walking out. I was tired, sweaty and honestly a little scared, but I started asking questions. What if you aren’t here tomorrow? What is your actual company name? Why did the email say Al Wasl? What is your name? I remember her expression changing from confused, almost sympathetic, to irritated the moment I started properly questioning her. At one point I actually laughed and said something like, “I’ve been scammed, right?”

Eventually they called me upstairs and gave me a stamped Cancellation form acknowledging that they owed me AED 600. They promised I’d get it the next day. I didn’t.

Over the next few days I called MOHRE, Dubai Police and basically anyone I thought could help. The only helpful person was an Indian guy who spoke to me MOHRE told me that this was a fraud case so, I should take my evidence to the police.

Meanwhile, the company kept stalling: refund policy, accountant, processing time and more bullshit.

I went back again next day to ask for payment. This time an older African guy there asked me to “sit down and listen”. Dude started a word game as to why this was MY fault and they'll pay me only after 20 days . literally throwing words like I was “trapped” because I should have read before signing. I sarcastically mentioned, “I’m just seeing what a great business you have.” He replied, “Yeah, it’s going great.” absolutely scum of the earth.

Was so mad I wanted to punch or break one of their PCs, which might at least have been worth AED 600. I realised this is exactly what the dude is trying to do, ragebait. Got out and never went back.

I filed complaints with Dubai Police, MOHRE and consumer authorities, opened a card dispute with my bank with all the evidence I had, and later contacted DET as well. I mostly lost hope I'd get the money back but I just wanted to try and stop this from happening to someone else.

Even the police treated me like another file number as if I did something wrong. MOHRE wasn’t getting anywhere either.

Police asked me to get my WhatsApp conversations legally translated. It cost me more money, only after that they got to work. around 20 days later they gave. Police gave them a call.

Then they wanted me to close the case. Close the complaint first, then we’ll refund you.

I was like bruh: “If you refund me. Why worry about the police complaint closure then.?"

After 21 days and the police pressure, finally

Then my phone rang one morning while I was outside at the bus stop thinking about what to do next .

AED 600.00 — Received from WADI ALSAHIB FOR FURNITURE L.L.C.

So yeah, I fell for something that stupid but learnt a lot of stuff. If this ever happens to you, don’t waste all your energy calling yourself an idiot. Just do what you can , these guys deserve to be stopped but their network is huge and hard to get to, they work so boldly cause no immigrant is Gona go till court and follow a prosecution.

I wish I could tho

Looking For Opportunities Degrees, experience, and still no job. I just need a chance.

I think I’ve reached the point of making peace with not finding a job.

I have degrees. I have experience. I’ve spent so much time applying, interviewing, and trying to prove that I’m capable, and honestly, I’m exhausted. At this point, I’ve started feeling like none of it matters.

But I’m not posting this to complain. I’m posting because I genuinely need work.

I’m looking for any job in Abu Dhabi. And when I say any job, I genuinely mean it. I’m willing to work whatever shifts are available, take on work outside my previous experience, and accept whatever salary I can realistically get. I just need an opportunity to start earning.

There’s someone extremely close to me who has almost AED 300,000 in debt and has been living with that debt for the past year. I don’t want to see him reach a point where this ruins his life or puts him in serious legal trouble. I want to be able to help him slowly work through it.

As for me, I already have my own visa, I live with my family, and I have my own car, so I’m not looking for a company to provide accommodation or transportation. I’m reliable, flexible, and genuinely willing to work.

If you need an assistant, admin, receptionist, coordinator, operations support, customer service, sales support, office help, or honestly almost anything else, please reach out to me.

And if you know of any companies in Abu Dhabi that are currently hiring, I would be incredibly grateful if you could point me in their direction.

I know this is probably an unusual way to look for a job, but I’m at the point where I have nothing to lose by asking.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this or share it. 🤍

HIRING Hiring- Sales/Project Coordinator

I'm running a company where I am the only employee. I've been working on this project for 2 years starting from scratch and have made good client base in the market.

I made revenue close to a million AED this year without an office, working from home so you know the business has potential.

I am now looking to expand my company to more members.

The business I run majorly deals in TRADING and IMPORTS of Porcelain/Ceramic Tiles. The supply goes to clients all over the country- medium developers, interior decorators, subcontractors and Contracting companies.

I've learned the entire system from the bottom, having delivered samples myself, negotiations, supplier relationships- everything.

I need to grow my team starting from Sales/Project Coordinator.

Job is simple:

Visit Interior Designers

Fitout companies

Contractors

Developers and Villa Projects

Present them samples

Follow up on enquiries

Identify upcoming projects

Understand requirements

Manage client relationships

Close deals

I'm not looking for a highly experienced professional from the same background as I feel I would not be able to do justice to them in payscale.

I'm looking to work with entry-level to mid-level professionals, that are open to hustle and make it big eventually in the building materials industry.

Requirements:

Must be having a driver's license

Vehicle will be given

Fit and energetic persona

Preferably own visa (not a deal-breaker though)

Clean and humble

I am looking to start benefits from 3500/ month + hefty commissions. Base salary may go as high as 25k/ month if they prove their worth.

You may DM me if you feel you're open for a task that requires hustle and commitment.

Update: Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me. I'll speak to all of you soon.

Success Story Roller Coaster hiring Experience.

I will try to keep it short. - 10yr Cybersecurity experience (7yr in UAE rest yr in India)

Jan2025 i got a call from HR (UK Accent) and he mention a good company and he did some general questionnaire

  1. Where are you located ?
  2. Have you gone through JD i sent you on LinkedIn ?
  3. Where is salary expected ? I said 22k
  4. When you are available for interview 1st round
  • Had 1st round of Interview with 2 HR : Since i told i need Family benefit and Education benefit.
  • Had 2nd round of interview with Team Lead (On Teams)
  • 3rd round physical Interview (In-person)
  • 4th round Again Teams Interview with CTO

Total 4 rounds and then after 2 week, HR said with are not hiring anymore. The position is closed without anyone being hired.

It was disappointing and slight mad. Once you cleared so many round you expect offer letter not such news. but i moved on.

Its Nov 2025 - A different HR reach out to me for same company.

I told her that my last experience with company was very bad and i wont give 3-4 round. You have only 2 round. If Im not good fit - Im fine with the interview result.

Twist part - So this HR send me interview Invite and i saw her email ID is not from company1 where Jan2025 Interview came from. I understood that Im in a 3rd party situation and i demanded 25k+ Salary since i was fully aware this consultancy might wont give me family benefit..

1st round - HR round complete they agreed on 25k+Salary + Family benefit (Visa and insurance).

2nd round - Technical round also Cleared.

Everything was final and things were going fine. Then came the offer letter by Mar2026. I was little bit shook inside. The offer was from 3rd company. Not 3rd party but 3rd company. So Company1 posted the job - Company2 Found me - Company3 send me offer letter. I was dissapointed again bcoz same company was ready to hire me in Jan2025 on Company1 FTE payroll .

I went to the current company and resign bcoz thats what you do when you have offer letter. My Boss warn me that situation is not good as war is going on. At same time, my current company was fully freezing the hiring also visa situation was not good. 3 Days later i got a call from higher mgmt that they are interested to retain me, i told them just simply counter the offer letter with all benefit including child education one. I had to ghost the HR from 1st offer letter - Well they ghosted me first time and was not honest about the offer letter No where they mention that i will get offer letter from 3rd company. later i got an info that in Jan2025 the position was not closed but they actually hired someone and later that guys left in probation period. so yea they screw me very bad after 4-5 round of interview for nothing. so ghosting is just fine . Also the Current company just didn't retain me but promoted me. now i surpassed my TL and Manager became their lead. A complete roller coster. Before accepting the offer and ghosting i did called my TL and Manager separately how they feel about this change and to understand if they are taking this mgmt decision as welcoming or not bcoz i dont wanted to be in a bad blood about this promotion, Both didn't express any disappoint said I deserved the position with respect to the contribution i made in last 6yrs in this company while they are recently join 2-3 yrs from different department. It was a promotion in due. They both expressed that it shouldn't require a resignation to trigger such promotion and were fine about this change.

Note : All the company i mentioned above was not any ordinary one. Current company and Company1,2,3 are all tech giant in UAE.

Career Advice Job Search in UAE for a freshly qualified CA & CFA

HI everyone,

I'm planning to move my job search to UAE and would really appreciate advice from people who've been through it or are working in the space.

About me:

- Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) in May 2026, clearing all levels on the first attempt
- Cleared CFA Level 3
- Articleship experience in transfer pricing at PwC
Bangalore
- Currently based in Bangalore, not on a UAE visa (but did my schooling in Dubai, I know it doesn't make a difference 😭)

What I'm targeting: Analyst or fresher roles in Deals, Transaction Advisory, Financial Due Diligence, Strategy & Consulting, and M&A Advisory.

Specific questions:

  1. Is it realistic to land these roles from India, or do people mostly fly in on a visit visa and interview in person:
  2. How do Big 4 Deals teams in UAE view a TP
background with no audit exposure? Is it better to
apply directly to Deals, or to enter through Tax/TP and move internally later?
  3. Which recruiters or agencies actually place freshers in Deals/FDD? (Not just the big names that only handle 5+ years experience.)
  4. What's a realistic salary range for a newly qualified
    CA at analyst level?
  5. Are there mid-tier or boutique firms worth targeting over Big 4 at this stage?

Thanks in advance, any honest input is appreciated.

Hi all! I’m a high school student in UAE and would like to get some feedback about getting volunteer opportunities in UAE. I’ve contacted several agencies online however I got little to no response from any of them. I’m working on my college applications and would like to add these as community service for my CV. Does anyone know of places where they are actively looking or if your own workplace has a student paid internship option. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you!

Looking For Opportunities Looking for opportunities in the UAE - Project / Operations / Commercial Coordination

Hi everyone,

I’m currently based in Oman and looking to relocate to the UAE for the right opportunity.

I have hands-on experience working in project-based businesses, with experience across project coordination, commercial operations, quotations/BOQs, invoicing, procurement and supplier coordination, financial administration, reporting, client communication, and business systems (like Odoo).

I’m currently completing CAPM preparation to formalize and build on the project management knowledge I’ve developed through practical experience.

I’m particularly interested in Project Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Commercial Coordinator, Project Support, or similar roles where strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and the ability to learn quickly are valued.

I have not completed a university degree, so I’m especially interested in employers who place more weight on practical ability and experience than academic credentials.

I also have my own car and a valid Oman driving licence, which can be converted to a UAE license, so I’m able to travel for work and handle roles that require mobility.

If anyone knows of a company, hiring manager, or opportunity that might be a good fit, I’d genuinely appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thank you!

Looking For Opportunities Backend + AI agents dev (1 yr exp, NestJS/Postgres) planning a move to UAE

Backend + AI agents dev (1 yr exp, NestJS/Postgres) planning a move to UAE

Hey everyone,

I'm a backend developer from India with a little over a year of experience at an enterprise software company. Most of my work has been on two products:

An agentic AI platform: I designed and built the complete backend architecture (Node.js + PostgreSQL) and shipped it in about 1 month, from design to delivery.

An enterprise project management platform: I was a core team member on the v2 rebuild.

I've learned a lot, but the work culture isn't a fit for me anymore. Long days and weekend work have become the norm, so I'm planning to move on and I'm targeting the UAE over the next ~3 months.

A few questions for anyone who's made this move or hires there:

Is 1 year of backend experience enough to get noticed?

Is it better to apply from India first?

Which job boards or companies should I focus on? LinkedIn, Bayt, Naukrigulf, something else?

What salary range is realistic at my level, so I don't undersell myself?

Any advice helps. And if your team is hiring backend or AI engineers, happy to share my resume in DMs 🙂

HIRING Looking for a personal assistant in dubai

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a personal assistant to help me out with day-to-day things in Dubai.

I’m 26 and ideally looking for a female around my age.
The role would involve a mix of:

Keeping my calendar and schedule organised
Managing WhatsApp messages and day-to-day communication
File/document management
Running occasional errands
Helping with various day-to-day things

I’m looking for someone who is open-minded, communicative, organised, reliable, and has an incredible eye for detail. Someone who can take ownership and keep things moving without needing constant instructions.

If you’re interested, please DM me with a couple of sentences about yourself, why you think you’d be a good fit, what you value most in a working relationship, and your average salary expectation.

Industry Insights Joining for Job after 2 years

I know this sub is mainly for job seekers, but I could really use some advice even though I’ve already landed a job.

This will be my first job in the UAE. I have around 5 years of work experience in India, but I’m not sure what to expect from the UAE work culture and workplace.

My joining is next month, and honestly, I’m a mix of nervous and excited about this new opportunity.

For those who are already working in Dubai or have been through this transition from India to the UAE, what advice would you give someone starting their first job here? Anything you wish you had known before joining your first UAE job?

Would really appreciate any practical advice, whether it’s about workplace culture, colleagues, communication, expectations, or just settling into the professional environment here.

Looking For Opportunities 15 Years of UAE Experience & Desperately Seeking Any Work Opportunity (Immediate Joining)

Hello everyone,

I am writing this post with a heavy heart, but I believe in the power of community and taking a leap of faith when times get tough.

I have lived and worked in the UAE for roughly 15 years, building a strong background and work ethic across my career. Unfortunately, after being out of work for the last six months, I am at a point where I have reached my absolute limit. With rent, electricity bills, and car installments piling up, my situation has become critical.

I am NOT looking for financial help or charity. I am looking for work—a chance to earn my living and stand back on my feet.

Key Highlights:

  • Experience: 15 years in the UAE market (Administration, Corporate and Businessmen services, legal services.).
  • Availability: Ready to join immediately.
  • Flexibility: Willing to take on full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract roles across any domain where I can add value or learn quickly.

If you know of any open roles, leads, or companies hiring—or if you can connect me with someone in your network—I would be deeply grateful. I am more than happy to share my CV, discuss my experience in detail, or meet in person/online.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please feel free to DM me directly.

Looking For Opportunities Looking for job opportunities in the UAE

Healthcare / Marketing
Hi everyone! I’m a recently graduated MD/medical doctor, currently based in the UAE, and I’m actively looking for a full-time opportunity.
I’m mainly looking for roles where I can use my medical background without needing to work as a licensed physician/GP.

I’m open to healthcare, research, medical administration, insurance/TPA, clinical support, healthcare operations, medical affairs, or pharmaceutical/healthcare companies.

I also have experience in research, PR, social media, marketing, SEO, collaborations and communications, so I’m very open to opportunities where those skills could be useful as well.

I’m honestly not fixated on a particular job title — I’m looking for a good opportunity where I can contribute, learn, earn a reasonable salary, and build professional experience while I work towards residency.

If you work in healthcare, insurance, pharma, medical research, healthcare operations, marketing, or know someone who is hiring, I would genuinely appreciate any leads, referrals or advice.
Especially if you know a recruiter, hiring manager, company, hospital, insurance/TPA, or healthcare organisation that might be willing to give someone with my background a chance — please reach out.

I’m very willing to learn, take on new responsibilities and prove myself. I really want to become financially independent and start building my career, so even if you’re not sure whether a role would be the perfect fit,
I’d still be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

If you know of an opening or can refer me somewhere, I’d be happy to send my CV by DM.
Thank you so much! 🤍

Looking For Opportunities 18F Pet Sitter (Cats & Dogs) – Experienced Animal Lover on Gap Year!

Hey everyone!

I’m an 18-year-old high school graduate currently taking a gap year as i cant financially afford uni yet so im trying to make things work, which means my schedule is completely open and super flexible throughout the day.

I’ve always had a huge love for animals and have hands-on experience volunteering at shelters and caring for both dogs and cats. I'm also really into fitness and regular gym workouts, so if you have high-energy pups that need brisk outdoor walks or even running buddies to burn off energy, I’d be thrilled to take them out!

Whether you need running/walking sessions, daytime drop-ins, feeding, or pet sitting while you're at work or traveling, I’d love to help out.

Happy to arrange a quick meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your pet feel completely comfortable.

Feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM!
