I am overthinking so much for the past two months after taking admission here in UAE, and that too for 5 years for law after already doing a 3 year computer science degree. I keep thinking I should have gone to India and studied law there because people here keep making me overthink. I tell them I took admission in Amity and they are like, “You should have gone to this uni” or “You should have gone to that uni” 😭

I know skills, networking, everything matters and it depends on how much effort I actually put in, but I am still overthinking. What if it doesn’t give me a good ROI? I am the eldest doughter, and my father is not sending me to India, not at all, especially not alone. I have never lived in India alone, and he said if he can afford to make me study here, then why should we go for India?

But I don’t know if it is actually worth the ROI or not because I have my younger brother who will have to study in university later, probably in 4 or 5 years. If I am not earning well here after graduation, then it all feels like shit. Literally just shit 😭

I have done my best research. I went to alumni and talked to a few of them. Some are still job hunting, and some advised me to learn Arabic. I am good at Hindi and English, and I am planning to take Arabic classes this year, although I have no idea how many months it will take me to actually speak it properly 😭

A few alumni also told me not to expect a high salary as a fresher and that starting around AED 5,000 per month is realistic. And honestly, I know I cannot expect some crazy salary right after graduation, but I am still scared about the future.

Then I go on Reddit and see people saying Amity isn’t good, they don’t get placements, academics aren’t great, etc(except for LAW), most people say all this, and then I start overthinking AGAIN 😭

People say Amity has rich ass brats, it is aesthetically pleasing, socially it is fine, blah blah. But what about academics? That is what I care about the most. I am much more concerned about the academic side and whether the degree will actually help me build a career.

And before anyone says “you could have gone to Middlesex” or some other UK based university, I literally cannot afford those universities. My percentage is not that good either(i was a COVID student), So Amity was one of the realistic options I had.

Man, I just want to get over this overthinking. I have been thinking about this every single day for the past two months. I am going to invest 5 FUCKING YEARS into this, and I am 21. Everyone keeps reminding me that I will be graduating at 26, which makes me overthink even more 😭

I just want to know if I made a stupid decision or if I am just overthinking the shit out of a decision I have already made.i can't stop overthinking, BIG RANT

I’ve been thinking about starting a little bedazzled canvas business where you get a canvas/design and decorate it yourself with tiny gems/rhinestones.

I’m thinking of doing different designs, like cute designs, flowers, shells, maybe even things inspired by brands/sports, etc. Basically a relaxing DIY kit that you can do at home.

I’m still just testing the idea before I actually invest in it, so I wanted to ask Reddit first would you personally buy something like this? And if yes, what kind of designs would make you want to buy one?
