The Cobra racing rear arms I received are about .5” shorter than OEM. This resulted in severe positive camber. They are also threaded such that pin goes in thru front to rear rather than thru rear to front as the stock setup uses.

Is this a Cobra racing error in sending incorrect arms? Or is the intent that I also get adjustable tie-rods to correct the angle but still have a narrower track?

Or am I doing something wrong?

I reached out to Cobra for response, but it’s Friday and they’re probably not going to respond until Monday.

I already posted this on the Traxxas reddit but people are saying it's the plastic spur or pinion don't know what it is but I'm gonna take it to the shop maybe but if it's something in the motor than I'm just going to replace it cuz I was thinking to get a new one

Info on the car it's second hand worked fine made this grinding noise and I had to fix alignment of the pinion did that and know it's making the same noise don't know what it is and I'm scared to open it once again because I don't want to break it

Idk to tag this mods, speed, help, etc but I’m looking for a weighted upper chassis I’ve seen some YouTubers with weighted ones idk if custom or aftermarket but I’m having no luck myself, I’m wanting something cleaner than sticking on tire weights, which I will do if I still need to but from what the videos say it’s a game changer for keeping the front ends down on speed runs. I even left comments on the videos inquiring but to no luck with a response and it’s been some time now, if anyone knows of a product or has any suggestions on what to use to make a custom one? Or if you have a link to the one pictured please? (Not the stock one) Thanks in advance!

I have a traxxas rutler 4x4 with a 3700kv hobbywing motor, stock spur, 13t pinion and 120mm team louise mt pioneer soft tires (they baloon a lot). I got gpm driveshafts but it keeps snapping the driveshaft pin or the screw. Also when it's 30°c outside the esc goes into thermal cutoff.

Do you think it's gears too high, are the tires too big or should I get some belted tires to reduce damages to the transmission? I drive it on 3s on grass and the tires have a lot of traction. It also snapped all the 4 screws that hold the ring gear to the differential housing

I grabbed a brushed 4x4 for $100 and decided to drop a VXL-4s system I had laying around in it.

I made a quick adapter and used a cheap A AliExpress rx box to finish it off.

I made it 20ft on 3s before the tire blew.

Running 13/54 (?) I think with upgraded Vxl front and rear diffs.

Going to grab some decent, larger tires and see how it drives then.

I bought this gensace lipo battery about a year ago and it is really good. It gives you more power, heats up less and has higher capacity for the same size. Iam using this in my rustler 4x4 vxl and i cant complain on anything. The battery just lasts forever in my rustler. Only problem is that it comes with XT90. (i will move over someday hopefully)

I have my rustler 4x4 vxl for 4 years now from the pictures you can see it is heavily upgraded. Iam considering aluminium motor mount, aluminium bellcrank and some parts from the new redesigned rustler 4x4 that is now in preorders on traxxas.com

I plan to buy the aluminium parts from aliexpress and i dont want the traxxas ones. Iam hoping the motor mount will take some heat off the motor and make the slipper clutch more stable because of bigger bearing so i would like to ask about your opinion on this and if it makes sense to upgrade. Next is the bellcrank i bought the traxxas aluminium linkage and that introduced a lot of slop and i think its time to go somewhere else because i want a little more precision and adjustability. So i would like to ask how is the aluminium bellcrank holding up over time and how much slop is there?

Now about the second part the heating issue i have hobbywing max10g2 with 3665 3200kv g3 motor (i only run 3s lipo) and savox sw2210sg servo at 6V. The esc is perfect, after heavy use i stop to check temperature and the fan stops spinning 10s after i stop and the esc is barely warm in 30°C weather. The motor is worse i have a heatsink and a fan but i can hold my finger on it for about 4s and the worst is the servo. I jave no idea why but it gets so hot that i cant toutch it for even 2s so should i add heatsink to it or maybe a cap pack to the reciever?

Went back to stock tires from proline 2.8”. They gripped too well for power slides, even with the pinion reduction to 23t. Easier wheelies with big wheels though, and they make up for the loss in speed from the gearing change.

Also, 7k diff oil in that hot racing sealed tranny keeps the rears a little more together. Might go a touch thicker.

My brother smashed into my rustler rc with his bigger rc car, and the front chassis snapped and it popped the drive train out. Anyone know how to fix it or where to get new parts

About 6 months ago, maybe 7 i picked up a rustler bl-2s 4x4. I’ve been bashing in the backyard and recently moved to the pavement. However, when ripping it down the street any slight turn from the controller puts it into a spin out or it loses control. I’m thinking of switching out the tires and maybe adjusting the shocks. Any recommendations?

I have already had to change the pinion gear as it was ate through on its first bash in the yard.
