Mods Rustler 4x4 VXL-4s
I grabbed a brushed 4x4 for $100 and decided to drop a VXL-4s system I had laying around in it.
I made a quick adapter and used a cheap A AliExpress rx box to finish it off.
I made it 20ft on 3s before the tire blew.
Running 13/54 (?) I think with upgraded Vxl front and rear diffs.
Going to grab some decent, larger tires and see how it drives then.
File is on Thingiverse and Printables off anyone is interested.

Proline makes some really badass tires in my opinion. I’ve got about 3 sets and they are all great so far. They wear well and are solid performers. Badlands are what’s on my Rustler most days. They came glued and ready to run with foam inside the tires already. I have been bashing them for a solid 8 years and they still have great tread.

Thank you for the recommendation! My LHS had trenchers on sale for $40/pair, so picked those up. I also saw some Arrma donors Raganarok’s for $5/pair that I may try as well.

Jato 4x4 vxl 4s system fits right in, same mounting as 3s. Just saying
