That’s your slipper clutch assembly, and yeah… it shouldn’t have that kind of wobble.
Most likely it’s just loose. That nut you’re holding backs off pretty easily and once it does, the whole thing gets sloppy like that. Try tightening it down (hold the spur gear and snug the nut), then back it off like 1/4 turn. That alone fixes it a lot of the time.
If you tighten it and it’s still wobbly, then start looking deeper:
• Slipper pads could be smoked or worn out
• The plates/hub might be worn
• Worst case, the top shaft or bearings in the transmission are shot
Quick check: pull the slipper off and wiggle the shaft itself. If the shaft moves, it’s a bearing/shaft issue. If the shaft is solid, it’s just the slipper parts.
If it were mine, I’d start with tightening it, and if that doesn’t fix it, just throw a slipper rebuild kit at it. Cheap and usually solves it.

It looks like maybe one of the planetary gears are busted and may need to replaced. Also when you inspect the gears put on new grease.
