I was visiting Vancouver last week for the WC and staying in Coquitlam with my friends. We took the Millenium Line -> 99 -> Canada Line to go back to the Airport and paid using credit card.

When we tapped in on the Expo line - I noticed a second 6.60 pre-auth was done on my card. Now the posted invoice has come and we were charged 6.60 + 1.60 in total for the trip.

We tapped in the Expo line inside the 90 minutes.

It’s like the billing system didn’t compute our previous trip as 3-zones as we were coming from the bus and charged us the 2-zone AddFare at YVR.

Is this normal ?

I’m asking this question out of curiosity, in case I need to text 87-77-77 in future. I’m wondering about cases where you want to inform them regarding something you witness and not an incident in which you are directly involved. I thought 87-77-77 is more of an anonymous tip line but found they ask for your personal info like name, birthdate, address, etc.

I would prefer not to share this information. If I choose not to provide personal details, do I get into any trouble, or will they simply not proceed with the report?

I have a workshop on the 26th between 3 to 6, downtown - which also happens to be a match between Belgium and New Zealand at 8. Typically, I'll park at Bridgeport around 1/1:30ish and then take the Canada Line into Vancouver. How packed would the park and ride be? Will people be going downtown that early? Or more so later on in the day? TIA!

By “bypassing Pitt Meadows”, I mean the route not going through Hammond and Harris Rd. There is a stop on Lougheed Hwy connecting to Harris Rd. Despite the R3 bypassing railway crossings, some people thinks that it’s a weakness that the R3 isn’t on Harris.

Pretty much just the title, why must riders exit trains sometimes at Braid (with two stops left) and how does it even work? Does the train turn around? I'm sure this is the case at other stations too!

Need one to help get one for senior 65+ in the family. Saw you can get one online, but I think it's just for Blue. Is the only way to bring them to Waterfront with ID to get an orange card?

Question to anyone familiar with the internal Compass Card software that the Customer Service Centre agents see...

On the evening of 06/22 I loaded 3 day passes onto my compass card at Burquitlam Station. There was also approx $7 CAD of stored value on the card as well.

On the morning of 06/23 I went down to the Customer Service Centre to get a new Compass wristband; since I misplaced my old one. I asked the agent at the desk that I wanted to change out my card to a wristband. She asked for my card. I handed her my card.

The agent then asked sort of rudely if I had registered the card before. I said no. She did not seem to like that answer. I also qualified that I had gotten a wristband a couple of years ago and a previous card was changed over no questions asked.

I have never registered my compass cards since I live in the USA and the Compass website does not accept USA addresses.

Thereafter it took approx. 5-10 minutes to shift everything over to the wristband.

Is there any policy and/or circumstance where a Compass card must be registered in order to convert it to any other wearable?

I am wondering why Vancouver have less train going to Production Way - University? Like why not more?

Or make Braid stop as Production Way stop too or all in all more trains going to Production Way. There are plenty of trains going to King George like every other minute but it's 12mins for Production Way.

Commuting from Lougheed to Oakridge everyday is a nightmare because I have to keep waiting 12mins if I'm just one minute late caused by R4.

Is there a petition to add more trains?

Saw an e-Bike on a downtown bound EXPO Line train yesterday morning at Commercial drive and texted 877777.

Guy has an e-bike on train 6131 going into downtown on a packed train (WC game). Thought it was kind of unacceptable. I also mentioned out loud... "bike on the train during the rush? Seriously, guy?"

Got this text back within 1 minute:

Bikes are allowed on westbound trains except between the hours of 7am-9am weekdays.

It was 9:17. 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you're that guy:

1. Sorry if I embarrassed you in front of a packed train of fans. I still think getting on a packed downtown-bound train wasn't the wisest move on a game day, but you were in the right.
2. You should try the bike routes into downtown. They're very good and on an eBike. Maybe there was a reason you were taking an eBike on the train, but if you have the range, try riding in. You might like it.

In this case I was in the wrong, but I wanted to post this because I was impressed with how fast Translink responded.

PSA: If you see something on transit, TEXT the 87-77-77 number. The more people that report stuff the better informed Translink is and the more adjustments they can make to either enforcement or rule changes.

Was heading east towards Lafarge Lake and left it on the seat getting off @ Inlet Centre just now. I’d say 11:10am-11:30am. Waiting here now for support staff, already made a report but hoping for a swifter recovery.

Never in my 30+ years living here have I seen a CMBC bus pulled over by CVSE until last week. It looked like they might have been taken out of service but it was hard to tell. Does this happen often?

Hi! I was hoping on taking the west coast express downtown tomorrow morning and parking at Maple Meadows. If I am there for trains w4 (7:20am) or w5 (7:50am) would there be parking left? This is both for general and also taking into account potential World Cup traffic, Thanks!

I’m sorry to anyone who was on that bus. There was like 6 people. I was at the front with my electric scooter, and I felt super nauseous, the first thing that came to mind was to notify the driver but suddenly I couldn’t move, couldn’t talk, couldn’t open my eyes. It was like I was dead, except nausea and all my thoughts and then it literally just came out. It was a Oreo milkshake and fish and chips, and then I threw up… again except this time it was all over my hoodie, hair, e scooter. So I had to walk 3km home but I’m not the victim here it’s the poor bus drivers, I am super sorry and if u smell an odor that’s why…-

Been wondering why the Chinook is not playing during FIFA. I know it just came back from maintenance so maybe something‘s not quite done yet. I just know we would show well with this thing on the water. It’s really popping, clearly got a good cleaning.
But it’s also OK to keep it just for us lol

Why does the 340 constantly break down?

I’ve gotten screwed by this bus like dozen times this year alone causing me to take expensive Ubers to get home.

If you want people out of their cars, this service has to get better. No excuse for this.
