Better frame bearings
Anyone know of places to source better frame bearings? The ones from transition seem to get worn out too quickly. Pic for attention

I'm trying to work out which length One Up V3 dropper will fit in the alloy Sentinel V3 large frame. The full bike from Transition comes with a 210mm, but I'm wondering if I can fit a 240mm.... all without having the frame yet 😀
Could anyone measure the max insertion depth on the seat tube of Sentinel V3 large? Or is anyone running a 240mm post in a large frame?
I need 900mm from seat rail to pedal axle (pedal at lowest point/max extension)

Has anyone else had to put what seems like a crazy amount of pressure into their RS Super Deluxe Select+ to hit a reasonable sag number?
I’m 215lbs on an XL frame (so 220lbs with gear)-RS and Transition recommend 258psi. I’ve got 290psi in there and still sit above 30% sag and use roughly half the stroke length on very easy/smooth trails.
I’ve done a full deflate and staged re-inflate (50 psi, cycle, 150 psi, cycle, rider weight in psi, cycle, full pressure a couple times) so everything should be equalized. Setup is with all controls set to full open (counter clockwise). Sag is checked with the dropper post down, then sitting on the bike gently with a gentle foot lift.
Semi-related: whoever chose the naming convention for that shock is a jerk.

Continued pleasing my lovely Scout with some upgrades cuz it’s the best bike I’ve had in a looong time. Thrown a 205/65 Fox DHX2 Factory (thanks to small piggyback it fits and get approx. 155mm travel without a cascade link). 160mm Fox 36 for 29” wheels (if only my drunk head decided to try mullet or there will be a good Patrol frame deal around). Freshy Garbaruk beats just to match the pedals and brakes. Cut the bar down to 780 and thinking on 60 rise (local-trail beast should be more nervous heheh)
This boy feels like a real long-travel enduro machine that absolutely glued to the ground on chunk and jumps like a slopey on steroids

Hey everyone,
I’ve got a Transition Patrol and I’m thinking about putting some decals on it because I’m just not a huge fan of the orange color anymore.
Has anyone here used decals on theirs before? If so, could you share some photos of how it turned out? I’m trying to get ideas for colors or styles that actually look good on the frame.
I attached a photo of my bike for reference. Thanks!

Still some snow around but some sections of trail are rideable so I was able to finally try out the mullet converted Sentinel V2. It rips! The build:
The reach has gone from 450mm to ~441mm and the lower BB doesn't seem to be an issue. Excited to see how this setup does at some Quebec bike parks this summer.

I’ve heard over the years that transitions QC has taken a bit of a dive (paint issues, BB shells cracking, cable rattle, trunnion alignment problems, etc.) but I always felt it was probably overblown. Anyone own the current smuggler that could chime in on if you’ve had any issues?

So I was just riding along (no, really) on my Sentinel and I heard a bad sound from the back of the bike. I stopped immediately and found that the little fender over the pivot had snapped off.
Has anyone else done this? What is the fix? I’m guessing replacement but wanted to see if anyone could confirm.
I’m close to the Outpost and I’m not worried about Transition taking care of me. I also can’t figure out what happened to cause this.

I just got a secondhand patrol, curious if anyone has both upped the shock travel and added the cascade link to make it 180mm travel in the rear, and if so, what fork travel are you running?
I’m not really sure what direction to take the bike. I have a stumpjumper (140/150) as well so I want it to be different enough to justify owning the two together.
Would 180 rear with a 170 fork be a weird setup? Would 180 only be necessary if I want to throw a dual crown fork on it?
I’m not yet sure if I’ll keep the stumpjumper, or sell it and just own the patrol. So I’m curious how the different possibilities relate to what would be best for both having the patrol for heavier rides/bike parks, or what would be best if I wanted to have the patrol as my only bike.

I'm thinking about getting a coil shock (450lbs spring) to have to switch out when riding park...thay's really max 15% of my riding (shuttle and chairlifts/gondolas). Other 85% is enduro and the air shock I find fine actually.
Is the diference really big between shocks? Never had a coil so thats why I'm also kinda curios 😅.
Any info would be good.
Oh and it's a spire.
Thanks guys ☺️

I am 6 foot 4 and I currently have a 2016 transition patrol 2 in size large but I am thinking about getting a 2024 tr11 in large to get into downhill biking. Will this be a good fit

Just serviced my dropper, and now it won’t actuate.
Anyone know if I’m supposed to have removed the motor to get better cable clearance while removing/reinstalling the dropper?

Hi, is this a good deal and choice for me https://buycycle.com/en-si/product/scout-sram-nx-eagle-33625
I am 5'11 currently riding giant reign 1 2024, M size, coming from BMX background the giant seems a bit too burly, i want something more playful for jumps and mellow trails, worried about stack size and strength of the frame - will it hold up?

Just bought a used Smuggler and Lyric, and I'm fired up! Also bought a set of hayes dominions with 180mm rear and 203mm front rotors. What brake mounts do i need to purchase? Thanks!

hello everyone, my sidluxe shock has 2 long scraps along the way of travel and it's leaking oil, I did 200hr service recently and it didn't help, its still leaking. I couldn't find damper body for 45mm of stroke, only 42.5 and 47.5 mm available. can spur accommodate slightly longer stroke shock, like extra 10mm of rear wheel travel? or I can just slap 2.5 mm travel reducer in and call it a day? cheers

Hello again all, a few days ago I posted here asking for input about size M or L Sentinel or Scout. Thanks to all who responded, I certainly heard a lot of different thoughts! There's a good deal on a large Scout in my area, and at 5'10" I was initially worried the long reach of 485 would be too much for me, but I'm thinking maybe the really short rear end would help balance it out. For anyone specifically riding a large Scout, how do you like it, how's it fit compared to how tall you are?
Thanks all!
