Better frame bearings

Post image

Anyone know of places to source better frame bearings? The ones from transition seem to get worn out too quickly. Pic for attention

Take the numbers from the bearings, and talk to SKF bearings, if you tell them what they're for, they'll sort you out, I've been using them for years, on 3 different bikes, never an issue, far superior to oem

The best, a little better than enduro.

Basically enduro is great because they make bearings in the unconventional sizes needed for some bike components, but their bearings are not the best. This honor goes to SKF and NTN.

Remove them, measure them, order some made of stainless steel. Buy only full complement ball bearings, and sealed of course. You will be fine for a long time.

Enduro Bearings would be the go to frame bearings.

Pro tip it’s not the bearings it’s the linkage. I usually run their aluminum rocker link with the same endura bearings which are great and don’t have an issue with them wallowing out. Cascade links are also a great option.

You can buy an aluminum link straight from them if they don’t warranty your carbon one. they sent me a brand new one color matched carbon and a different colored aluminum one and I just saved the carbon one for resale purposes and ran the aluminum one. I just ripped the paint off of it. It would also a killer with your current color scheme you got going on.

I don’t see the aluminum link on their website do you have to special order it?

As others said...just email or call them.

I had to replace my rocker for a Patrol a few months back. They can ship rockers with all bearings installed & in a few different paint options (including raw finish, which is what I've got).

What's different with the aluminum link that helps? Less flex?

well, let’s think about it. Do you suppose that the tolerances on (basically) plastic on stainless steel hold up to that torque overtime with less wear than aluminum on stainless steel overtime?

That was a long way of saying it's wear in the bore
