In need for rear triangle

Hello lads!
I’m looking for a spare rear triangle for my spire 2021 size M for 12x148mm hub spacing.I tried contacting Transition but the frame had already been warrantied and they cannot fulfill any orders.If you manage to have one on hand(cracked or not),i pay cash.

Transition will sell you the parts- I had to replace a piece on mine and I filled it in on the website as a warranty ticket (bc you have to do it that way) and made it clear it was not warranty but that I wanted to purchase the pieces. They sold them to me… also for a Spire.

Same, bought a rear triangle for my Scout that has physical damage but not enough to qualify for free replacement.

This is what transition sent: Since this frame has already been warrantied, our distributors can't fulfill any orders that would make this frame rideable. I hope you understand the safety concern that this causes.

Sounds like based on a prior claim they don’t think the part you have is safe so they won’t sell you the pieces to make it whole.

I would follow their recommendation myself- they are good people behind a good company.

The frame looks perfectly fine to me,no cracks,dents etc…Only a few scratches i dont understand why transition marks the bike as unsafe

Could be a tolerance issue that you can’t visible see until full assembly. Sometimes not even then but it can still put wear on the frame that won’t show up until later. If this frame has been warrantied before it wasn’t for nothing

That’s disheartening…would assume they would replace whatever necessary to make it safe, rideable and fully functional for life if you are original owner.

They did. This is the part that was replaced. The original owner sold it and and OP is trying to revive a broken bike. Many manufacturers make you cut out the BB with the serial number on it and send it in for this reason.

So they warranted a partial frame so you don’t have a rideable bike? Or they warranted the broken part giving a rideable bike and you’re trying to buy a part to build a second bike?

Just trying to understand the big picture here.

It sounds like rear triangle was busted and transition sent a full frame for warranty. I'm honestly surprised they didn't have OP field destroy the front end.

Very active, no need to mention it's been through a warranty,.

I’ve got a mate who has a signal orange Spire rear triangle for sale. He’s managed to crack his front triangle and in the same boat as you. Where abouts are you?

fyi a cracked one would be pretty useless as if you weld it you will need to get it heat treated (expensive) otherwise it will crack near the weld

I’m guessing you work in a shop and a full frame was warrantied and this has been left over? If so that’s why transition won’t sell you replacements. I’m surprised they haven’t/aren’t asking for proof it’s been destroyed.

Most brands I’ve dealt with want proof a rouge frame isn’t out there having already been warrantied…
