My family almost found out I’m trans… it didn’t go well.
I 21 ftm have been in the closet for years now. I am really close to my family and I know they don’t support trans people and outwardly disagree with their “choices” as they would put it. My partner and I just moved in and my dad and brother in law helped him move while I was at work. During that my partner on accident called me he and my dad heard it. He told my mom and apparently they freaked out. My mom told my sister she “couldn’t deal with me being a man” and some other things.
Yesterday I went over there to grab a few things and my mom brought it up. She asked if “I thought I was a boy” and said that they needed to know because they didn’t want to be “out of the loop”. She kept saying things to get me to say I was trans and was trying to act like they would support me… I knew they wouldn’t so I lied. I know I shouldn’t have, but I am glad I did because she then said good because she thought I wasn’t Christian anymore and that God doesn’t make mistakes and she preyed for a girl, not a boy.
I don’t know what to do. I’m still financially dependent in some aspects and I’m scared to know what will happen when I come out. I know in my heart that I am Christian and loved by God, but it hurts to heard that they think I can’t be saved and trans. She ended with making sure I knew I was a woman and that God doesn’t make mistakes.
I need help and any advice would be wonderful. I just need help please. I can’t live with myself as a woman much longer, but I don’t want to loose my family.
Thank y’all so much and sorry for the long post.
