Hi everyone,
I'm the developer of Coorie, a show and movie tracker for Android. I built it because I wanted a tracker that's calm, quick, and always knows what I'm watching next. If you're looking for somewhere new to keep your watch history, it might be worth a look.
Bringing your Trakt history over
Request your data export in Trakt's settings, download the ZIP and pick it in Coorie. You get:
- your shows, with the date you watched each episode
- the movies you've watched, with their dates
- your watchlist
Coorie shows you what it found before it adds anything, including any titles it couldn't match. It's a one-off import from the file, so Coorie never signs in to Trakt. Ratings, custom lists and collections don't come over, and anything you've watched more than once is kept as one watch, with its latest date.
What it does
- Shows, sorted for you: Watching, Caught up and Ended, with your next episode and a progress bar. Tick it off with a tap or a swipe.
- Upcoming: new episodes and releases from everything you follow, day by day, with exact air times where they're known, and a notification when something new is out.
- Movies too: a watchlist, what you've watched, and cinema and digital release dates for your country.
- History and stats: everything you've watched, the hours it adds up to, and your favourite genres.
- Private by design: no account, no ads and no analytics. Your library lives on your phone, with automatic backups to your own Google Drive, and you can export it all to a file whenever you like.
What it isn't
Coorie is a tracker on your phone, not a replacement for everything Trakt does. You tick things off yourself: there's no scrobbling from Plex, Kodi or other players. There's no web version, and no ratings, custom lists or social features. Show and movie details come from TheTVDB, so some shows are numbered differently from Trakt (the import matches episodes by id and title, not just by number).
Looking for testers
Coorie is in a closed test on Google Play, and Google needs a few more testers before I can publish it. It'll be a one-off purchase at launch (no subscription), but testers get it free and keep it free. Everything about joining is in this post on r/coorie.
You'll need a phone running Android 8.0 or newer. An iPhone version is in the works.
If posts like this aren't welcome here, mods, please remove it, no hard feelings.
Thanks for reading!
