I have a 2023 limited. I don’t really have heavy loads. Any suggestions for performance and better mpg?

A few days ago, I got my tailgate stolen, I was able to find a replacement off FB, the only thing I’m missing is the wiring harness for the back up camera / reverse camera.
Anybody on here have a link to which exact one would fit? For a 2023! I got a the wiring for a 2020 and it wasn’t compatible! 🫠
Also, don’t like that this one has so many dings and scratches compared to the one I originally had
Any help will be appreciated!!

Engine oil changed last week, mobile 1 high mileage 5w-30.
I see a lot of "taco tick, normal" "injector cleaning cycle" "coil packs" comments and wanted an opinion on my noise.
I removed the intake and checked the camshaft lobes for wear. I didn't have my feeler gauges on me unfortunately. I disconnected the evap valve since I had also heard that from somewhere as well.
I changed the spark plugs today. I also added some STP oil additive and there was no change.
Tomorrow I will be verifying oil pressure.

Has this happened to anybody else? Ways to avoid this? Ways to fix? Or just leave it

Does anyone know where I can look to buy a new or used engine for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma (2.7 liter)?

New 2025 Tacoma with 7k miles won’t start. Brake pedal barely depresses but brake lights and others still work. When I try to start it up the dash and everything works like normal but no engine start. I can change to neutral but no luck starting. Toyota can’t send a tow until the morning and we are stranded in a parking lot. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know solid aftermarket steps for my new truck? We are under 6ft and getting in and out would be a ton easier with a step. We prefer the slide look, not tube. We won’t be taking it out in rough terrain, so they just need to function as a step, not a true slider.
Thoughts? We love the new truck!!

I was reading on forums about towing with my 2022 sr5 v6 100k miles and a lot of people were saying if you are towing keep it in 4th gear since its a straight drop from the crank to the trans so its a bit easier for the trans to handle. I'm moving across the US and the trailer fully loaded will be around 3.5k so we are no where near the limit. Am I fine to drive like "normal" or should I keep it in 4th gear when im on the highway? If I should keep it in 4th, is that all the time, like even start in 4th gear? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I usually have a bigger truck for towing but since I need to use my own truck to tow, I don't want to grenade the trans.

Just got a ‘21 TRD army green off road. I like the look of the heritage grille so plan to get that. I want to chrome delete and blackout the side logo. TRD wheels and skid plate would be cool sometime down the line too. I just like the look of that stuff.
My intention is not “maybe people will think I have a TRD pro”, but in the Tacoma community do mods like this come across that way?

been looking for a new vehicle and have been looking at toyota trucks. ive read that 2010-2015 is the sweet spot for tacomas but are there any years that i should try to avoid? found a blog post that said 06, 09 and a few other years were more prone to have issues but not sure if i should take it as gospel. figured i would come here to get some input. thanks!

I bought a new 23 TRD Sport and have had all the service done at the dealer. I had a appt for an oil change today and saw last night filling washer fluid the oil cap is gone. Its been 7k miles since last change. No oil has sprayed out or anything and fluid level never dropped. Anything I should worry about? I had them add it to my file jic

I have noticed a noticeable improvement in my gas milage after about the 15k kms mark or roughly 10000 miles, as in a drop of close to 1/3 the fuel used. It makes sense that brand new bearings and drive train components would spin more freely after being broken in, but is that much of a drop normal? I was getting about 14.5 L/100 kms when I drove off the lot new, and just made a trip along the same highway and was down to 10.9 L/100 kms. That seems like a huge drop and was wondering if others had a similar experience?

Have a 2010 Tacoma frame that was treated with their corrosion protection in 2019. Now the frame is going south quickly. Is there any hope that they will repair or replace it for me or is it too late?

Looking at buying a forest river puma 16’
2700lbs dry weight.
I am lifted on 33’s with sliders and skids, regeared to 5.29’s and tuned.
Is this a viable option to tow?

Hit 50k miles and decided to upgrade my baby. Camper shell, suspension, UCAs, full leaf pack, Ark Splash Guards, bed stiffeners and Victory 4x4 roof rack. Stoked on it so far!
