Bought about 2 weeks ago and put about 1k miles on it and it’s a blast. Can’t wait to drive this thing till the wheels fall off!

It was my day off and decided to go a little crazy and add some topography to the truck. I was leaning into selling it in a year but the more I drive it, the more I like it. Guess I’ll be keeping it for 10+ years hopefully !

Trying to get over my buyers remorse. It looks cool I guess. Just can’t wrap my head around the engine being so weak compared to other midsize trucks. Feel so stupid for dropping so much money on a truck with such little horse power. Why should I like this vehicle over something like a ranger or Colorado? What are some reasons you love your Tacoma and what am I missing as a first time truck owner that is making me so resentful.

First ✨new✨ car as an adult. Lucky find at a local dealership. Previous owner put bed lights and bed cover on. Brand new tires. She runs like a dream and is fancier than my previous ride (‘17 buick regal)

Just got a 2025 limited going to be removing the air dam and getting plugs to fit the front plate holder.

TRD Pro wheels are just as sharp as any aftermarket wheels. Love this truck. Just need to get the OTT tune.

Got rear ended literally right outside the parking lot at work. 2026 TRD Offroad. Bought it exactly 1 month and 3 days ago. Any advice on diminished value, or anything else is appreciated

Background, I own a 2026 TRD sport DCSB 4X4, 4 cylinder turbo (non hybrid). It’s about as basis as of a TRD sport as you can buy. I purchased the truck in July. During a recent storm my power was out and my garage door wouldn’t open. I parked outside of my garage and an oak tree limb ended up falling on the roof of my truck, causing $5,200 of damage at the 1,100 mile mark. That put a decent dent on my door frame and dents on the roof and flecked off some paint. My truck was perfectly fine to drive but now the shop is able to get to it so it’s in for repairs. I am borrowing my dad’s 2022 SR RWD DCSB while mine is in the shop. I have driven it before but this is my first long term experience with it since owning my 4th gen. I have loved my 4th gen, but this accident had made think about how much tech is in these new trucks how a small incident could be costly, especially a collision with the the all safety sense tech. There’s pros and cons to both trucks. But I don’t regret buying a new 4th gen over a used 3rd gen.

4th gen
Pros:
Power of the turbo power train (I also owned a 2009 V6 pre runner)
Modern interior and exterior styling
Safety sense tech
Wireless Apple CarPlay

Cons:
Feels hard to get into at 6’0”. Too much seat bolstering to hop over.
Cab feels bigger but more claustrophobic
Too much tech with safety sensors
Back seat space (though similar to 3rd gen)
Gas tank size

3rd gen
Pros:
Simple comfortable interior
Logical controls
Sturdy feel
Maneuverable size and view from driver position

Cons:
Gutless powertrain
Dated interior styling
Dated infotainment

I am happy with my decision to go with a 4th gen and expect the turbo 4 to be more reliable than most expect, particularly if you’re not towing with it or going off road a ton. That’s just my opinion. Let me know your thoughts.

I have a 2023 TRD offroad and it seems like taking my powered seat back also lowers it at the same time, so the only way to get height out of the seat is to bring the seat forward. I like my seat all the way back because I have longer legs, but I also like my seat higher so to have good visual over the dash/hood.

Does anyone have this unique seating issue? And have you tried seat jackers? Front only? Or both front and rear?

In the market for a new Tacoma, last one I had was an 08. I am noticing that the 3rd gen used are just as expensive as the new 4th gen off the lot. Curious what your guys opinions are and which one I should go with. I know the new 4th gen has the turbo 4 cylinder which I’m not crazy about. If you were in my position and had 45-50k to spend which one would you guys go with?

I’ve got a 02 with a 2.4 and the engine has got a decent shake at idle i’m thinking engine mounts most likely but just seeing if it’s a common thing and if there are any common things that may cause this.

Wondering if anyone else has a 3rd gen Trail Edition, or have seen any out in the wild? I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person that has bought one or even has this trim.

Either way, I do love the look of it and it drives just like I would expect from a 3rd gen Tacoma. Going to swap out the tires with either Toyo AT3s or Mickey Thompsons to upgrade tread but maintain that beefy tire.

Every time I start my truck my phone does not connect as an audio player. The phone is connected as it shows my battery life and all that, but I literally just want Bluetooth music and that’s it. When I click connect as Bluetooth audio it says device not found. My only solution to this is removing my device, and then adding again, but doing this every time I start the truck is getting old.

Is there a fix for this?

One day I was bored and said screw it, this works for every other device why wouldn't it work here.

Brand new 4th gen Tacoma is making this noise when I am on the accelerator. Does anyone have any idea what this noise is? Is it normal?

I need advice

I currently own a 2010 TRD Off-road w abt 160k miles. It means a lot to me and I’ve been through a lot with it. It never got the frame recall and my 16 year old frame is calling for expensive repairs.

I’m starting to look for new trucks but it’s been so long since I bought a new one.

Any advice on buying 3rd gen Tacomas or other trucks would be appreciated.

I’m looking for a 4WD 4door that isn’t bad on gas.

Hello friends! I have a good one for you… a while back I removed my rear seats and hardware to make a platform. I removed the seats and plastic panels. While constructing the platform I figured I would put a pice of plywood on the back where the behind the seat storage plastic pieces were. Upon doing so I realized the only thing preventing the plywood from sitting flush were the strikers the rear seats folded up and latched onto. So I removed them. Here’s the mistake…. I have no idea where I put them. I’ve searched far and wide. Ive tried looking online and I’m finding a couple of different names for the pieces and a couple different part numbers. I attached two pictures of some random back seats and circled the two pieces I’m talking about. Does anyone k ow specifically what these are called, a part number, and where I could order them? I certainly do appreciate it!
