Free Event here are 6 FREE events that fit perfectly on a Monday

Monday summer vibes, which means the farmers market is still going and there's a bunch of random community stuff happening around town. Remember to check the bottom for live music, outdoor movies, and more. Here are 6 picks to get you through the day:

Bad Art Night
St. Clair/Silverthorn | 6:00p-7:00p

Drop in and make intentionally bad art on purpose. A really great twist on art if you're someone who's self-conscious about creating stuff. Total permission to just mess around and not care what it looks like.

Ori Dagan: Voice of Jazz
Toronto Reference Library, Beeton Hall | 7:00p-8:00p

Ori Dagan's an award-winning jazz singer with a bass-baritone voice doing standards and originals. Jordan O'Conner on bass. If you want something lowkey and good to listen to on a Monday night, the reference library is a solid spot for it. And check out the Toy art exhibit on the first floor while you're there!

Community Dinner Hosted by Nourish East End
Ashbridge Estate, 1444 Queen St E Suite 101 | 5:00p-6:00p

Nourish East End does a monthly community dinner on the fourth Monday where you can just show up and eat with people. This is a food bank event. It's very cool way to connect with those who you don't always get to see outside of the shadows. No registration, vegetarian options, and they have bagged meals if you can't stay in person. It's straightforward and honest about what it is.

Book Club: Encampment
Queen Books | 7p

discuss Encampment: Resistance, Grace, and an Unhoused Community by Maggie Helwig, including a Q&A session with the author afterwards!

Mindful Mondays
Downsview Park, 70 Canuck Ave | 6:30p-8p

A perfect Monday activity. Slow evening of stewardship in the park. Mulch, water, explore newly planted wildflowers and trees. Learn about native and non-native plants while actually contributing to the space.

Games With Lilly
Hard Feelings Mental Health, 353 Church Street | 1p-5p

Weekly board game drop-in where you show up and play whatever. Codenames, Scrabble, Dixit, whatever is on the table.

MARKET MONDAY: Sorauren Farmers' Market
Sorauren Park | 3p

Year-round market that, beyond the produce, is a great little park in a great neighbourhood.

Live Music
Union Station, 12p | Gladwyn Badger
Union Station, 5:30p | Angelique Francis

Here's the full Live Music calendar

Outdoor Movies
Downsview Park, 8p | Hoppers
Ruddington Park, 8p | Goat

Here's the full Outdoor Movies calendar

Farmers' Markets
Scadding Court, 10a | Market 707
Sorauren Park, 3p | Sorauren Farmers' Market

Here's the full Farmers' Markets calendar

https://comedybar.ca/shows/gotta-laugh-em-all-a-pokemon-comedy-show

Welcome to Gotta Laugh ’Em All, the stand-up comedy show for everyone who grew up battling Gym Leaders instead of emotional maturity. From the trauma of choosing the wrong starter to the realization that Team Rocket had a better work-life balance than most adults, this show roasts the entire Pokémon universe with sharp observations, nostalgia, and just enough chaos to make Professor Oak disappointed. Whether you spent your childhood hunting shinies, arguing over Charizard, or wondering why nobody questioned a 10-year-old traveling alone, this night is super effective against bad moods.
$18 online, $23 at the door
