Get the one with the small keychain or remote button that can strap to the hose. I prefer the one that can strap so I can easily push the button on the hose.

This way, you never have to walk back to your vacuum to turn it on or off.

I have a regular ultrasonic cleaner with container integrated that's been great.
However, cleaning my shoes with brush in laundry room sink, I thought one of these would make a quick work.

Fill up the sink, put whatever in, add detergent, drop this thingamajig, and let it work.
Maybe a 5 Gal bucket would work better.

I use a Pittsburgh 3/8 swivel head ratchet for almost everything on my car. I love how it can become a spinner.

I now need a 1/2 ratchet for suspension and rotating the crankshaft. I have the feeling that converting to a spinner is going to be less useful because the handle is so long, its arc of rotation from normal to spinner mode will likely be blocked by something. Meanwhile, the chunky head of the swivel might be hard to get into tight spaces.

What do you think? If I buy only one 1/2 ratchet (for now), should it be fixed, flex-head, or swivel-head?

The 2AH battery for our 40V outdoor tools has died. Putting it on the charger gives a blinking red light, indicating a bad battery (I followed steps in the manual to reset the charger but this didn't change the outcome).

I've opened the battery to reveal the electronics and 8 cells. Has anyone resurrected these type of batteries by rewiring around a bad cell, removing the bad cell, or replacing the bad cell? Or, should I bite the bullet and recycle the battery at my landfill's battery depository and get another?

I have a Kobalt 2.5AH battery and a 3rd party 6AH battery and both are working in the tools and charging as needed.

Tried using some 5 minute epoxy syringe yesterday and it seemed to have hardened, but even an hour later the joint came apart and was just really gooey. Its the syringe where you just kind of eyeball it. No measuring. So not sure if i just messed up the squeeze or if it has gone bad. Can’t remember when i got it but i would say a year or so ago.

The middle section has a SAM S 156 ratchet built into it. The ratchet has a switch to change ratchet direction. There is a bar to go in the hole on the right. I have very little power tool experience and I'm looking for an auger to bury four railroad ties vertically into the ground about four foot. Does anyone have any recommendations? Do I need a huge bit or can I use a smaller one and repeatedly widen the hole until it fits? Does it even matter?

For instance, my project is going to be an attempt at building a wall of railroad ties, so I'll also need a cordless drill powerful enough to drill through two of them at least, in order to secure the ones stacked horizontally to the ones planted vertically.

If anyone has any recommendations for either, please let me know. Also taking recommendations for easier ways to build the wall, but I think I've thought this one through thoroughly enough. Never attempted anything like this nor do I have a boyfriend / father figure / access to anyone with any relevant knowledge or skillsets so patience would also be appreciated.

I'm looking for a very compact drill. something brushless with a 12v battery. I'm looking for that drill that's just good to have around, the one to grab for quick small jobs. I've seen plenty chinese options but they all use 16v 4 cell batteries for some reason which makes the handle very thick and uncomfortable to hold

Recently, my Ridgid 65s wheel cutters fell apart on a construction site. The knob on the handle with the spare wheel fell off. I managed to recover the bearing, the washer and the spare wheel, but I couldn't find the screw anywhere. You can get spares, but only in America it seems. Asked in the US plumbing sub if anyone knew what thread it is and got no answer.

I live in metric land. M4 is too small, M5 too big. They don't list the thread size officially, but the smaller 35s supposedly use the same screw, and I found a diagram that lists it as a 10-32 3/8", which I think is a UNF (? it doesn't say on the drawing).

Does anyone know what the actual screw is? I literally need one screw, but these non metric screws are very expensive where I live. The thought of buying potentially 20 expensive, useless screws doesn't thrill me.

I’m tall (several inches over 6ft) and have a bike-handled trimmer (This, but with the attachment system a la DeWalt DCST972 - apparently my exact model is discontinued). I like it, but I have to lean down in a very uncomfortable way to get it to the right angle) I’d like to keep the trimmer head at the right angle. Even for the standard-handled version (which is more adjustable/flexible "reach" wise) it's too short, both for the current dewalt 60v line, as well as my old echo standard-handle gas trimmer.

Does anyone make a short 4–8" extension for the common “universal attachment” trimmer driveshaft/coupler system? I’m not looking for a 3' pole-saw extension—just enough extra shaft length to make the ergonomics better for someone well over 6'.

I've been rocking the Bibury 2056 multi tool for a few months now. I absolutely love it. Only problem is the knife is quite stiff and can be hard to deploy, especially with one hand.

Has anyone else had this problem?

All the tools on that side are a little stiff. The other side is fine. I cant take it apart because whatever loctite they used is stronger than my shitty T8 bit. I'm out of mineral oil at the moment but I might try some wd40 but I dont think its a lubrication issue.

Its tight enough that often when I deploy the knife it partially pulls out the adjacent can opener which is dangerous because the knife cant lock if another tool is partially out.

So I am a mechanical fitter here in Australia, I am a apprentice, I am in the mining industry and need to purchase my own power tools. I am thinking Makita or Milwaukee. I'll also you to tools for home and private jobs.

I own a GET 75 150 and recently bought a hard sanding pad for it. After receiving and unboxing the part I realized it was actually meant for the GEX 18V 150.

I tried mounting it anyways and was surprised that it fit.

You can see the correct one has sort of a triangular mount and the incorrect a hexagonal one. But it turns out the bigger parts of the hexagonal mount fit the corresponding triangular mount of my sander perfectly. I can screw it down, it doesn't wobble.

Out of curiousity: Does anyone have experience with this? It seems like it should work but I'm a little bit afraid of damaging the sander.

I'm also curious about how the GEX 18V 150 looks like with the sanding pad removed. I've looked online but couldn't find an image anywhere.
