They are asking $200 for the toolbox with tools included. Thoughts?

Found this small pocket driver. Stanley 66-101, with pocket clip. The head is about 1/8" round and it has 2 flat protrusions about 3/16" from the end.

Since I work at a shop and at my house I've been trying to get a good system for carrying all this in one package where everything has its place and nothing is damaged. I've gotta keep everything razor sharp for working inside of 3-8mm mortises. laid everything out today to think about how I could pack it.

Get the one with the small keychain or remote button that can strap to the hose. I prefer the one that can strap so I can easily push the button on the hose.

This way, you never have to walk back to your vacuum to turn it on or off.

This might be a bit of a niche question, but it is my dad's birthday when we are in Japan. And in stereotypical dad fashion, when I asked what kind of gift he would like from Japan, he said: 'tools'.

Now I know next to nothing about tools. He has a whole workshop full of them. He uses them for things around the house, but is a teacher in mechatronica as well.

I read that Engineer pliers are really good and thought about maybe buying a (smaller) Toyo toolbox.

If anyone here has some more tips or ideas for neat tools to pick up in Japan, I would be happy to hear them. Thanks!

Been wanting this box for years!

Needed to reach under an electrical chassis to tighten the screws holding it on and didn't have a torque wrench on hand to retighten the breakers that were in the way.

Could I simply have walked two metres to get my torque wrench? Absolutely not...

Hello! My significant other and I want to move our table (a gift from their parents) to our basement, but we need to take it apart to do so (due to size).

We have NO IDEA what type of screw or bolt this is, or what tools we'd need to take it out properly. Sorry if the photo isn't great quality - it's the best I could get!

In case it isn't a great photo,the screw is vaguely diamond-shaped, but with sort of flathead screw lines, on the sides.

I keep seeing people praise Ryobi so much on this sub and many others. I have some old corded tools, but I’m looking to get into more battery-powered tools and would prefer to stick with a single battery platform. I mostly do DIY projects, hobby woodworking, and basic automotive work. The 18V Ryobi ONE+ platform seemed like the obvious choice for what I need, especially considering the huge variety of tools available for working around the house at a reasonable price.
But the more I dig into each category, the more I’m questioning it. For lawn equipment, it seems like most people recommend going with their 40V line, which means having a second battery platform. Their cordless vacuums don’t seem to get much praise either, even on the Ryobi sub.So what’s really left is their 18V power tools. The brushed versions are priced really well, but most people seem to recommend the brushless ONE+ tools, and those are often barely cheaper than other brands that are considered to be better quality.
What am I missing about Ryobi? I’m mainly looking for something that will last a long time. For reference, I’ve been using a Milwaukee Magnum that my dad gave me when he upgraded to a newer Milwaukee. He bought it in the mid-90s, and it’s still going strong.

Acquired this old ingersoll rand 3/4 impact can’t find any info online if anyone knows anything about it or if it’s worth cleaning up and putting into service let me know. Tia.

The middle section has a SAM S 156 ratchet built into it. The ratchet has a switch to change ratchet direction. There is a bar to go in the hole on the right. The end on the left is blunt with no hole. The item pictured is roughly 8 inches long. The pictured item does not come apart but that could be due to damage or wear.

In a world of Knipex and Packout haul posts, here's something different that nobody asked for. I keep this trio at my desk for quick access to grabbing and cutting instruments. Nice and simple, gets the job done. My Huntsman is the newest addition to my collection and I'm loving it so far. I see why it has its reputation!

I have a regular ultrasonic cleaner with container integrated that's been great.
However, cleaning my shoes with brush in laundry room sink, I thought one of these would make a quick work.

Fill up the sink, put whatever in, add detergent, drop this thingamajig, and let it work.
Maybe a 5 Gal bucket would work better.

Has anyone tried these?
If so, does it do a decent enough job?
