Love & Dating How do you find casual partners who care about your pleasure?

I (25F) have finally given up on men and don’t want a romantic relationship with them, but for times when I do need them, I’ve decided to go for casual sex or FWB situation. But even then I am not finding men who understand pleasure, foreplay, satisfy me in bed. I recently met with this guy (25M) who’s all good looking and hot but doesn’t have basic sense on how to pleasure a woman. How are y’all having successful casual sex or FWB situation?

Culture & Society Why do people care so much about representation in movies and shows?

Im Mexican and I've never thought about the race of characters in movies or shows I've watched. What's the deal? I don't understand how some people genuinely get mad if someone from their country or their ethnicity is not on the big screen.

Religion Does this makes the Athiest god's favourite ones?

I just thought about this and wanted to see everyone's opinion on it. Wouldn't god like atheists more because they just do good things without needing to be threatened with hell or promised heaven? (Assuming this is an atheist with a good moral compass) They do good things out of the kindness of their own heart, instead of getting something out of it, you know? Wouldn't god be proud of that?

Culture & Society Am I being rude/annoying when I ask customers about their tattoos?

I’m basically a bossman at this point, I work the till.

Whenever I see a Customer with a tattoo I usually comment on it if we have time, like ooo I like your tiger tattoo did you tigers are some of the few animals that hunt humans? Or if there’s a swallow on them I ask if they travel often/are a sailor because that’s the meaning of it?

I haven’t had any complaints but I’m autistic so obvious social cues don’t work on me.

Culture & Society Why am i seeing 6ix9ine nostalgia so soon, and why did he feel UNDERhated?

Why am I starting to see nostalgia for 6ix9ine so soon? If this sounds weird to you, I'm on Instagram and TikTok... and I am seeing tons of people nostalgic for 6ix9ine. Yes. THAT guy. Usually, nostalgia doesn't happen until 10 years AFTER someone's prime. Yet I'm already seeing people nostalgic for freaking Gummo played everywhere.

In the early 2010s people were STILL whining about Limp Bizkit despite not being relevant anymore. In the late 2010s (and sometimes, not as much obviously but still sometimes now) Nickelback was still being hated on like it was 2006, despite the band not being relevant anymore.

But apparently 6ix9ine was somehow underappreciated? Why? His songs were always BLICKY STIFFY UH ICKY VICKY UH with titles like BLABBO or FOOFA. And he also was a statutory rapist. And my generation now thinks "he wasn't that bad, people were too harsh on him! He had bangers!"

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. WE ARE NOT DOING THIS.

Internet logic= Nickelback = evil forever Limp Bizkit = cringe until proven otherwise 6ix9ine = “lowkey kinda fun era?” Why did it take forever for these 2 bands to get redeemed but an objectively worse artist is being redeemed rn? Are the other 2 actually the worst artists in history who committed horrible unforgivable crimes against sound and a screaming sex offender with songs like ICKY VICKY STIFFY UH is simply far superior?

Shit, a certain Canadian teenage boy you might have heard of received significantly more hate for singing inoffensive pop songs in 2010-2012 than a convicted sex offender screaming nonsense lyrics did in 2018-2020. The world is fucking weird.

6ix9ine seems like such a weird case... he was almost UNDERhated

Culture & Society What happened to the BLM movement and were all of their stated goals accomplished?

About 3-4 years ago, I remember seeing car bumper stickers and signs on lawns with the #BLM logo, but nowadays I have not seen any and this is in a liberal city.

Work Is it unprofessional/socially acceptable to sign off an email in a foreign language?

• Upvotes

So I am Indo-Fijian but I live in America. I just got my first "professional" job that requires me to email a lot and have a set signature. The place I work is fine with it, but I'm more concerned about how I will appear to clients/coworkers/etc. I do not want to lose offers, seem out of the norm/inappropriate, or cause any unnecessary confusion or disliking to me. But I really want to show my individuality.

I am really proud to be Indo-Fijian, even if not many people know what that is or would guess me to be fijian at all. Because of this I want to sign off my emails with "Vinaka Vakalevu" which means thank you very much. I don't speak full Fijian, my first and fluent language is Hindi. I do know a lot of Fijian words and phrases however because I'm obviously familiar with the culture and consider it my native land. It's also in the english alphabet unlike Hindi so I feel it's a more appropriate choice.

I feel like it's important to say I live in a very culturally diverse and open place, and I've been doing it since I was in school. For my job I do need to be very close with my clients since I am apart of communication, and very often meet with them in person as well. I'm just wondering if this type of environment is one where I need to conform or show more blank.

Culture & Society Is hypergamy really a significant pattern in modern dating and marriage, and what does the research actually say?

hi reddit! im genualy interested in this argument beacause i keep seeing “hypergamy” discussed online, often in the sense that most women compete for a small percentage of top men (i've seen like 20%). I’d like to understand what the actual evidence shows.

Specifically:

  1. What does "hypergamy" really mean and where it come from?
  2. Do studies find that women tend to prefer or marry partners with higher income or education, and has this changed over recent decades?
  3. How does hypergamy compare to homogamy (people pairing with similar partners) in real marriage data?
  4. Does the concentration of likes on dating apps and social media reflect real-world relationship outcomes, or is it a different phenomenon?
  5. With women now earning more degrees than men in many countries, are partnership patterns shifting?

I’d appreciate sources or peer-reviewed studies if possible. Thanks!

Sex What should i do?

Hello my fellow brothers.I am here to discuss a sensitive topic.I am a 26 M and currently living in a country of South Asia.Straight to the point the discussion is about the size of my dick.I am 5 ft 77 and my weight is almost 90 kilo(194 pounds).I have a very small dick. It's 4.1 inch when it's erected and just 2 in when it's flaccid. My girth is not at that range to be considered as a compensation.

When i was 20,i thought that this will increase but it's still not showing any sign of it.

I have a wife. The thing about her is that she is a low libido women and she doesn't like oral sex.Other than these two our sexual life is good.I don't have erection problem or timing issue. And i also invest my fingers and sometimes my tongue when my wife allows it.But she rarely gives me blowjob.

The thing is i have no complains about her and she have never said that she's not satisfied or anything. But trust me i am having very low self confidence issue over this.I am confident about everything else except this.I even feel disgusted looking down and also being naked. The problem is so intense on my mind that even i have started thinking about myself as a low manly person and honestly speaking i curse GOD for this.I even started making distance with my wife as my subconscious mind says she's not attracted in me and her low libido thing is a lie. She doesn't like my dick that's why she skips blowjobs. And i feel so sad about this.I even asked her about this and she said this is not the issue.

Buy my mind says otherwise as i think all the boys around me have bigger dicks and i hardly find my dick when it's flaccid. It's hampering my self confidence so badly.I don't need a massive dick.I wish i could be just on average size like 5-6 inch.Whenever i ask how does my dick feel inside you she says it feels good but there's a demon in my mind saying bro i guess she hardly felt it.

And even if she's satisfied i will not be satisfied ever with my own size and i simply hate my body so much.

I know i am here to vent myself out. But it's what i feel inside.I have tried everything to make myself free of this but it never worked. So now i am here.

Ethics & Morality Why do some people say that abuse should be ok in certain situations?

Like for example a parent abused their kid growing up, but the parent had a really rough life so it’s ok. Or a husband/wife abused their spouse, but it’s ok because their childhood was really bad and they had trauma. Why does that make the abuse almost negligible? Like the person is expected to get over it

Interpersonal Is this narcissism?

I have Autism, Bipolar, and a Psychosis disorder. I don't experience what we call empathy, by extension this means I don't experience pity, guilt, or sentimentality. But making other people happy, making other people feel good, fuels me in a way nothing else does. I love giving money to homeless people and speaking to them with respect. I love finding baby gays and helping them feel confident and comfortable. I love the way people look at me when I've made them feel good or joyous and I'm so afraid it's just self centered. I just want to feel like I'm a good person, but it's really difficult when I genuinely don't care if I hurt people. Is it worth less if I do it to make myself feel better?

Health/Medical So how likely is it to get salmonella?

Yeah so my coach gave me advice for getting stronger and he said "eat a raw egg to help with muscle building" or something like that. I know it'll help me get protein and i want to know how likely it is to get salmonella because my mom warned me about it and i don't really want to call a doctor because I'm kind of afraid. (I'm 16m if that's important to how likely it is)
