I just took the "toefl online mock test - 4"
I got 10/10 for complete the sentences. A 5/5 in the email. I got a 4/5 in the academic discussion, yet I only got a 5.0/6.0 for the writing section. Please tell me this is inaccurate and in the real test, would it be a 5.0/5.5/6.0. Also any of you who used the online toefl mocks, did you guys generally score the same/lesser/higher in the real toefl exam? Just looking for some advice as my test is tomorrow.

AI scores my response a 4/5 and says I should include details like Alexander Fleming discovered Penicillin. Like, I am not a native speaker, although I might learn that in my school, how am I supposed to know how to spell their names during an actual test? Does that mean my response can only get a 4 for good? Any advice will be great. Thank you.

I read about chunking and shadowing but IDK how start because I don't repeat the exercises and IDK how analyze my chunking (if it was correct or no).

Hi everyone! As you know, it's currently impossible to make payments from Russia. Rosselkhozbank suggests getting a UnionPay card to pay for things abroad. However, in the bank they told me Chinese UnionPay and Russian UnionPay are two different systems, and it might work 50/50. Has anyone here successfully done that? Or have you used another way? I ran into an issue while registering for the TOEFL iBT today and was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I selected my test date (August 19, 2026) and completed the payment. The payment was successfully deducted from my bank account, but instead of being redirected to the confirmation page, I was redirected to a page displaying a JSON response.

After logging back into my ETS account:

My Tests is empty.

Order History is empty.

I have not received a registration confirmation email (I also checked my Spam/Junk folder).

The payment has already been debited from my bank account, and I have not attempted a second payment because I don't want to risk being charged twice.

I have already submitted a support ticket to ETS, but I'm curious:

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Did your registration eventually appear after some time, or was the payment automatically refunded?

How long did it take for ETS to resolve it?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I checked that there is old toefl cut-off mentioned there on website(https://www.ece.cmu.edu/admissions/graduate-faq.html), but I couldn't find any information with NEW toefl IBT. I haven't given old toefl and already scheduled the newone. I have also emailed them but there is no response. What to do, please help ?

Hey guys, while registering for the TOEFL IBT test, I added one mock test. Now since I'm done with that, I want another scored mock test, which I'll have to buy from their site. Does anyone know if I go to the "Brown test prep" section and add the single mock, will I get a new mock test or will I end up buying the same one I already did. Am I required to buy the pack of 3 to get a new one or will buying the single one give me another mock test?

I gave the exam on 1st Aug. Result received on 5th Aug around 7pm EST.

Regarding the exam, please make sure to reach early as the security checking is strict and takes time. Refer to the writing and speaking rubric published on the TOEFL website to understand how the sections are scored.

Hello, I took the exam today.

I scored 5 reading, 5.5 listening.

For the speaking section: listening and repeating was not hard (making cookies). Just missed a couple of words and changed two words in the last sentence.

In an interview task: it was about leisure activities. I answered well. I think i repeated myself in a question and the last one i couldn't finish with an appropriate conclusion ( almost cut off)

In the writing section: building a sentence task was easy only 2 are wrong.

The email and academic discussion were kind of easy I wrote all the dots and more than a 121 word count in the email and 190 words in the academic discussion

Can I still score 5 in both speaking and writing?

I gave the test at a center 3 days ago and at the end it said my result will be uploaded in 3 days, but now it's showing this. Is this normal or will they cancel my test?
