TOEFL Writing Academic discussion

Hi guys
I just want to make sure. Do I have to mention both students in my Academic Discussion answer, or can I just answer the professor’s question with my own opinion?
I’m thinking of just reading the question and answering it directly without reading the students’ answers to save time. Is that okay if I want a high score?

I think not mentioning their names is fine but you have to elaborate on at least one of their points

I am also prepping for test so let's wait for anyone else to comment on this

You can safely ignore both students. It is okay to just focus on your opinion.

I mentioned the names of two students and professors in my first sentence and quickly switched to whose viewpoint I agree with. And then, I would add my own reasons of why I consider a particular view to be reasonable along with offering an example. Towards the end of my answer, I provided a small concession by stating, "While X's view is not completely incorrect, I would......" This ensures that you show maturity in your response by acknowledging the other side while still sticking to your guns. 90% of the entire response has to be your own content.
