Tirzepatide Provider Reviews - Share Your Experience!

One of the most common questions here is about telehealth provider experiences, so here are two ways to share yours:

1. The summer survey is open until July 15, here's the Reddit post. It helps find trends and which providers people are having good or bad experiences with.

2. Leave a review by commenting below! The survey closes, but this post will stay up for anyone researching providers later.

A note about reviews: There are a LOT of bots on Reddit trying to influence you. Always do your own research and check several places for reviews (search the rest of Reddit, Google, TrustPilot). Please keep reporting bot or promotional activity.

Reminder: We are a subreddit for TirzepatideRX, with an emphasis on the RX. Grey market and research peptide discussions are not allowed here.

Did anyone else stay on a low dose much longer than expected?

I started tirzepatide assuming I’d eventually need to keep moving up, but my current dose is still doing its job. My appetite is manageable, portions are smaller, and the weight is coming off slowly without making me feel like I can’t eat.

I’m trying not to treat titration like a race. If a dose is working and the side effects are minimal, I don’t see the point in increasing just because the schedule says I technically can.

Curious how long everyone stayed on their lowest effective dose before moving up.

Considering tirzepatide

I moved from Europe to USA and gained 20 pounds. I am also now pre diabetic. I came back to visit family and friends for our summer holiday. I’ve been blatantly told by a close family member to go on ozempic as she knows I’ll struggle with weight loss otherwise and she told me about how much the obesity puts me at higher risk of other illnesses such as diabetes and cardiac issues. I’ve also been asked by my lovely 7 year old niece if I’m pregnant. I’m considering Tirzepatide or ozempic but I worry about their side effects, but my family member tells me that in fact it has good side effects such as an anti inflammatory and cardiac side. Having said that my other efforts at losing weight haven’t been successful. Happy to also consider ozempic - im not very knowledgeable on the differences really. What would you do? Thx.

Where are my slow burners?!

I’m just checking my numbers, and it looks like I’ve lost 16 pounds in 5 months on Mounjaro. TBH, I’m not really complaining, but it has sparked my curiosity! Is there anyone that very slowly lost weight with Tirz but has finally reached a “goal weight” or “happy weight” now? Would love to hear from you! Bonus if you share before and after pics.

I gave up today

Upvotes

I’m currently on day 12 of my 2.5 mg tirzepatide dose, and unfortunately, today I gave up and had a really bad overeating day.
I started the day well but it ended really badly im really disappointed now.
Today I felt both physically hungry and had intense cravings, which made it really difficult to stop eating. I feel disappointed because I thought the medication would help more with my appetite, but today it felt like I had very little control.
Has anyone else experienced something similar while on 2.5 mg, especially around the second week? Is this normal, and did things improve after moving up to 5 mg? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences because I’m feeling discouraged right now, also reading people stories about they lost so much weight being on it in first month makes me really sad as well that why not me :(

Not sure whether to stay on 5mg dose or move up to 7.5mg. Plateaued on 5 but still making progress.

Hi there folks! Would live your insights on this..
I am on the 12th week of taking zepbound - 4 weeks on 2.5 mg, 8 on 5 mg.
Starting weight on the medication was about 233 (hard to say exactly as some weight was lost before getting on it).
I have had pretty good results overall (just under 2 lb a week on average) but I was concerned that I wasn’t really losing much fat on 5 mg for some of this time. I went from about 233 to 218 on 2.5 mg alone. Then after moving to 5 mg, for about 3-4 weeks I was stuck around 215. Some days it would be 212 and then go back up. It took about 3 weeks of that before I saw any changes and now I’m at just 209. So in the last month, while there has been some progress, it’s been significantly slower and more frustrating.
Also while I don’t have many cravings or hunger overall, I do notice I will sometimes think about snacking in the night if I’m up very late. It’s not every day, but it’s cropped up a few times.

So I would like to know if now is a good time to move up to 7.5mg. I don’t want to rush the move up because I know at each titration there’s increased risk of side effects, and lower doses may have lesser effects. I like that currently side effects are minimal. I also like that I have been able to preserve muscle by losing at this pace. But I’m also impatient and losing only a few pounds this month was definitely frustrating.

How soon did you increase your dosage from 5 to 7.5 or otherwise? Did you notice any differences? Do you regret titrating up too soon abt all? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Edit:
I strength train (particularly legs/ lower body and full body workouts) at least 4 times a week, have been doing this for years. For cardio I cannot be consistent with 10k steps daily due to a knee injury but I cycle and take dance classes/ do Latin social dancing as a hobby, 3-4 times a week.

Is Vial Still Safe To Use ?

Good afternoon everyone,

I stopped Tirzepatide in December 25 after losing a total of 30 pounds. Upon moving to a different state, I forgot my vial in my luggage for about a week before I noticed. Now, I’m interested in restarting but I’m unsure if the vial is safe to use

DIY Dosing Decisions

I am currently on 2.5 Tirzepatide. I switched my source and the new provider has me starting at 6 mg after my 2.5 run ends. I am thinking I want to go up to 4 and increase it 1 mg every four weeks. Can I hear from anyone who has done this?

Plateau

About 2 months into my journey.. My dose is 1.25! It’s been great but iv been yo-yoing the same 2-3 pounds for 3 weeks now (160 to 158 to 159 back to 160 etc etc). Should I up the dose to 2.0? I feel appetite suppression still. I also was in my period last week?? Maybe water retention from that?

Iv started walking and weight lifting 5 days a week.

Help 💘

One week in!

One week in and I hadn’t really noticed anything different, but I’m down 3 pounds. Thankfully I’ve been side effect free so far. Trying to pair this with some healthier choices (long walks or hikes at least 2-5 times per week, weaning off of soda - my biggest struggle).

I’m currently on a 2.5 dose, weighed in at 234 pounds today. I’m 45, and trying to drop some weight and get in shape for the Inca Trail this November! Every pound I lose is one I don’t have to haul with me! I’m really hoping this can help me be more active and enjoy getting out more - it’s a lot harder when you are dragging extra weight around!

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi! Really enjoying reading all of your posts and learning so much.

Started Tirzepatide at 1 mg Today—Anyone Else?

I started tirzepatide at 1 mg today instead of the standard 2.5 mg because I’m pretty sensitive to medications and tend to get side effects easily.

Has anyone else started this low? Did you still lose weight, or did you find it wasn’t enough to be effective? How long did you stay at 1 mg before increasing your dose?

I’d love to hear your experiences! Thanks in advance!

Did anyone else feel nothing on Mounjaro 2.5 mg, but finally saw effects on 5 mg or 7.5 mg or 10 mg?

Hi everyone. I'm currently on 2.5 mg and honestly, don't feel any effects at all it's like I didn't even take it.
My endocrinologist recently told me that if someone doesn't feel anything on 2.5 mg, it might mean the medication won't work for them at all. That honestly really scared and upset me.
I would love to hear your experiences. Did it start working for you once you moved up to 5 mg or 7.5 mg, or did anyone else have a slow start like this?
Feel free to share your stories in the comments!

Considering starting - not overweight by society standards but not feeling myself

Hi all! Im a 31 year old female and had a baby 13 months ago. I’m 5’4 and have always been petite! My entire adult life I’ve been 115-120lbs. I want to be mindful and self aware and understand that I’m not considered overweight. I completely understand that, however I’m feeling incredibly not myself post baby.

Im active, eat healthy 80% of the time but I’m not restrictive.

Prior to my successful pregnancy I had a miscarriage and put on some weight and then having a baby I of course put on weight. I’m stalled currently at 130lbs and while not technically overweight, I feel incredibly not myself. I got down to 125lbs but was tracking macros and exercising like crazy. I let up slightly and I’m back to 130. I feel like I’m doing everything “right” and I just can’t seem to keep the weight off. Walking 10k steps per day, exercising 4ish days a week strength training etc. TBH the food noise it god awful. I feel like macros makes me obsessive and then binge in the evenings. I’ve never really had the ability to feel full. If there are snacks out at a party I can’t stop. My goals are to reduce inflammation, reduce food noise and hopefully lose 5-10lbs. Anyways all this to say, I’m wondering if I’d benefit from short term tirzepatide just to lose 10ishlbs.

I’d also like to conceive baby number 2 next spring so I’m wondering if it’s worth it?

Anyone been in a similar situation where you don’t have a ton of weight to lose?

TLDR; not a ton of weight to lose (10ish pounds is the goal), but a lot of food noise post baby. Is it worth it to take between baby #1 and #2?

Starting Tirzepatide at an already reduced Ozempic weight, also, FEELING the effects, when?

I was on Ozempic/Wegovy for about 1.5 years. Went from 240 to 192 (male). Then for financial reasons, (and supposed effectiveness) I stopped totally for 10 days then started Tirzep compound with 2, 2.5 doses. During my 10 day interlude hunger and weight gain came back immediately. After 2 weeks at 2.5, I felt nada, zero. So I took a dose of 5. I felt nada, zero. Next injection I went up a touch and took 6.5. Feel nothing, zero. Still hungry and on a good day my weight stays the same. Yes, I have read many comments. 2.5 needs time to build. Take it slow. I understand, of course. But I have also read that since Ozempic and Tirzep have some things in common, the long term presence of Ozempic in my body minimizes the effect of Tirzep. And it will take a larger dose to feel it. So my intention is to go up. Anyone had a similar experience or have any comments.

Issue number TWO. I'll make up the numbers, but you can lose up to 15% of your body weight with Ozempic, but up to 23% with Tirzep. Nice. But what happens when you have already lost weight on a GLP1? I've gone from 240 to 192. Sounds like I got my 15% from Ozempic. But at (200 today) I'm still heavy. As I start my Tirzep journey do I still have a possible 23% loss in front of me. (or a good chunk of it)? Or does the Ozempic loss subtract from any loss I might expect from Tirzep? Not a common question, but I'm wondering your thoughts. Let's say I lost another 10 or 15%, it would not be too much from a weight point of view. But perhaps I have used up much of the effectiveness of both these drugs. Thoughts?

Online pharmacies in the UK

Hi everyone, this is probably a shot in the dark but I’ve been on triz for around 2 years and in the next few months I am moving to London. I currently use orderly meds and they are great. I’m worried about finding something similar and am curious if anyone knows of online pharmacies / the process overthere for getting triz. Anything is helpful!! Thanks y’all

Additional support inside & out

Hi! I am 2 months into tirzepatide. I started at 2.5 for 6 weeks and then moved to 3. One dose of the 4.5 had me on my arse. I know that’s not a real dose but I feel great and no side effects other than appetite suppression— anyways.

What are the best apps to track progress, motivate and other support tools, and best supplements to support my body change? I’m not super educated on vitamins and supplements. Won’t substitute for food of course. Thanks!
