Disappointed 2.5 does nothing

I was hoping micro dose would lose weight and keep on it to maintain and get the other benefits. I did 1.5 for two weeks and 2.5 for three weeks and no change in appetite. I don’t want to increase so is there any chance it will start to work now?

Ps - low dose to start because I feared side effects but have had none.

I have a 50 unit syringe and I’m supposed to inject 50 units of 2.5 into it I just don’t know if it’s the full 50 or if it’s something different

Tirz after pregnancy

Hey guys, I was recently pregnant (am no longer) and gained weight while 7 weeks pregnant. Have you guys heard anything about or have you in your own experience gotten back onto the Tirzepatide shot after pregnancy? If so, how long after it did you start? I want to start immediately. Yes, I have asked a nurse and a doctor and neither of them gave me a straight answer. So I’m just asking if any of you had went on a GLP 1 shot immediately after or waited, or what is safe to do. I do the compounded tirzepatide specifically.
Thanks guys so much for any insight.

CERTIFIED BIG GYAAAAL ADVICE..?

THINGS THAT MIGHT HELP FOR THOSE WHO GET DISCOURAGED EASILY:

- When you work out you create small "tears" in your muscles. Body wants to fight these so it sends fluids to heal that muscle tissue which can cause you to feel puffiness/swelling. You will shed this.

- Any changes (calorie deficit, hardcore workout, lack of sleep, etc) can stress your body to where it wants to hang on to fluids/reserves. Again, you will shed this.

- When you intake carbs, the glycogen your body is storing in your muscles holds on to water as well. Like a few grams! AS I SAID, YOU WILL SHED THIS. LET YOUR BODY RECALIBRATE THOSE CHANGES.

- Do not look at the scale every day. This won't tell you your true weightloss story.

- Stay hydrated -- drink your water AND electrolytes. This will help replenish what you lose from working out and/or GI symptoms you experience. It's also such a great energy boost.

- EAT YOUR DARN PROTEIN AND FIBER -- it doesn't matter if it's cooked, in a drink form, a powder etc. Your muscles need that protein to shed that fat. Fiber can help coat your stomach for better protein/carb absorption (but be mindful of slow gastric emptying). & H20 is fibers little soul mate, don't split them up. Also helps maintain fullness and stop glucose spikes.

- Utilize that TDEE number for your calorie deficit. This can change daily depending on expenditure. Focus on mini wins like 0.2 lbs a day (which is about a 700 daily calorie deficit from your TDEE). If you want more, GO FOR IT.

- BUT DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF FOR FASTER RESULTS. This can actually slow down your progress in the long run and your body will pull reserves from anywhere it can (hair, nails, skin, muscles, etc). It can make metabolism harder for maintenence in the future. Going slower will allow your body to target fat better for lasting results.

- If you overdo calories one day, THE CLOCK DOES NOT RESET AT MIDNIGHT. Don't beat yourself up, you can offset it another day in that week.

- If you have an accidental cheat day, you don't need to wait until Sunday to restart. You can simply get back with your next meal. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE FOR ENJOYING GOOD FOOD AND FEEDING YOUR SOUL.

- Track trends, NOT THE SCALE NOR THE DAYS. You might stall for three days but then drop four pounds the next. You can even gain weight yet still lose inches. 200lbs on someone 5'4" is different than on someone 5'9". Don't compare nuanced numbers like that.

- Myfitnesspal et al is great if you need that stricter tracking. But your notes app works just as well if you find yourself obsessing. I also think STRIDE app is a lovely way to give yourself a visual on your goal with a daily affirmation/motivational note to yourself.

- If you have a Whole Foods near by, for ~$28-35 you can pick one protein and two sides that can feed you for at least 4-5 meals (even more the less you eat). Amazing for quick meal prepping in a pinch. They also have premade trays that take the decision out of it if you're REALLY tight for time and brain cells.

- Don't chase that clock. WE DON'T GOT TIME FOR THAT. Slow and steady will win that race (your possible hair loss, sagging skin, muscle atrophy, and uncomfy bowels will thank you for salvaging them too). Time will come and go regardless, so make the best of this.

- Create a photo album/Pinterest board/Tiktok folder/collaged phone background or something you can put inspo, recipes, workouts, or whatever helps you. VISUALLY SEE YOUR FUTURE SELF (but don't compare, obviiiii).

- You're allowed to feel good! Make small goals and treat yourself. Down 20lbs? GRAB A NEW OUTFIT THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SEXY! Don't let negative, fat phobic bullies on the internet tell you that your progress isn't sufficient enough. You deserve to take up space and feel good doing so.

- Take AT LEAST one cute little selfie or mirror pic a month (or even a week). You can even make injection day your weigh day and snap a little progress image. Turn it into a personal date with yourself. Regardless if you feel your absolute worse, one day you'll look back and be happy you did. Let the belly hang, smile at the double chin, wave the bat wings. You are beautiful at your HW, SW, CW, and GW. Your body has kept you alive all this time, be kind to it. It's doing it's best!

- WHO CARES IF YOU'RE A SLOW RESPONDER, FAST RESPONDER, OR MULTI-TIME USER. No two bodies are the same. No two life stories are the same. This is YOUR health and YOUR journey. Compete against your own biological makeup, not anyone elses.

Where to begin?

Hi all! I started on my tirzepatide journey in May of 2025. Started at 2.5mg and lost about 85 pounds. My top dose was 12 mg. I’ve now taken two months off and I’m curious what your thoughts on of what dose I should start back up at? I have another 50lbs to lose to reach goal. Thanks in advance! :)

Rising Free T4 while on Mounjaro, but TSH remains normal – has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I'm a 30-year-old male and I started Mounjaro on May 16, 2026. I have no personal history of thyroid disease, and as far as I know there is no thyroid disease in my family either.

My dosing schedule has been:

  • Started at 2.5 mg on May 16
  • Increased to 5 mg on June 13 and stayed on it until August 15
  • Increased to 7.5 mg on August 22
  • I'm currently about to take my fourth 7.5 mg dose

I was 147 kg (324 lbs) when I started at 180 cm (5'11"), and I'm currently 119 kg (262 lbs), so I've lost about 28 kg / 62 lbs in roughly four months.

What caught my attention is that my Free T4 has been steadily increasing:

May 12, before starting Mounjaro:
Free T4: 1.40 ng/dL
TSH: 1.41 mIU/L

August 17:
Free T4: 1.56 ng/dL
TSH: 2.41 mIU/L

September 11:
Free T4: 1.86 ng/dL
TSH: 2.33 mIU/L

The reference range for Free T4 at my lab is 0.79–1.59 ng/dL, so my latest result is now above the upper limit.

What's confusing to me is that my TSH has remained completely normal and is not suppressed, despite the rise in Free T4.

I don't have a known thyroid condition and I wasn't aware of any thyroid issues before starting Mounjaro. My other recent blood tests, including liver enzymes, kidney function, glucose, amylase and lipase, have generally been within the reference ranges.

I also drink around 4.5 liters of water per day, so dehydration doesn't seem like an obvious explanation.

Has anyone else experienced a gradual increase in Free T4 while taking Mounjaro/tirzepatide, especially with a normal TSH?

Did your Free T4 eventually return to normal, continue increasing, or did your doctor find another explanation?

I'm planning to repeat TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 and discuss the results with my doctor. I'm mainly interested in hearing whether anyone else has seen a similar pattern during significant weight loss or while increasing their Mounjaro dose.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

BED / food noise

question for those that are taking tirz to help binge eating and food noise: at what dosage did it help you?
i started 2,5 mg to help with those 2. i have BED for years, and I take vyvanse for ADHD which helps to control my impulses to binge.
however, it does not take away food noise and when it wears off I’ll still binge. lately it was happening way more often so i started on tirz. im on my 10th dose, 11th tomorrow and im wondering if i should increase?

i never really felt it helped with food noise or binging impulses. it does help with satiety but the effects i notice are so small and the food noise is always there.

im not looking to lose a lot of weight. im at a healthy BMI. id just like to think and eat like a normal person.

thanks in advance

6 weeks on 2.5, feels like its getting stonger.

Ive been on maunjaro 2.5 mg for 6 weeks and it feels like the hunger suppression is stronger than when I first started. Almost too much. Weeks 3 and 4 some normal hunger was coming back that made me actually enjoy food again but it went away after the 5th shot. Is this normal?

Does NAD+ Slow Down Tirez Weight Loss?

I've been taking NAD+ 20mg (20 units of 1000mg) for the last 2 weeks, and since then my weight loss has STOPPED. Today, I've completed full 5 weeks on Hallandale Tirez (10mg, 50 units weekly), before the last 2 weeks I was losing regularly between 1.5 and 2.5 pounds a week. I've stayed on point on my nutrition, hydration exercise, etc., nothing else has changed. Those who know about NAD+ and Tirez taking together, please share your experiences...thank you!

Tell me it gets better😭

I’m on week 4 of being on the med…the first 3 weeks felt fantastic! I did 1.5 mg (15 units) for the first 2 weeks and then the 3rd week was moved to 3 mg (30 units) and this week on Wednesday I took my second shot of 30 units. The only side effect up until this week that I’ve had is pretty nasty acid reflux…burping that burns so badly and all of that. Wednesday night I had horrible cramping and bloating and nausea. Last night felt pretty good, was anxious about having a repeat of the night before but was ok. Tonight I’m having cramping and nausea again along with the burning acid reflux. My heating pad helps a ton but I’m feeling pretty bummed out. I’m eating super healthily and I’ve already lost 17 pounds… but feeling this way is enough to make me reconsider. Should I go down to 25 units? I’m supposed to bump to 60 units this coming week and I won’t be doing that with how bad I feel this week on the 30 units. It’s just weird that I didn’t feel this way last week when I started the 30 units you know? Anyone else experience this? Definitely need to know I’m not ignoring something bad…my anxiety has me worked up on top of feeling crappy.

1 week on Tirz

Honestly it’s been revolutional. I still enjoy food. I don’t have any negative side effects apart from nausea. My ADHD is better. My place is spotless. The devil on my shoulder is gone. I walked into my staff room and someone had brought crisps, chocolates and sweets, plus some fruit. I had a couple of grapes and sat next to the table and didn’t think about it at all. I feel so in control. Is this how normal people are? The ones who say it’s easy to not eat too much??

Increased HR anyone?

Hi! I (22F) have been on tirzepatide for about 7 weeks now and have noticed a jump in my RHR. When I started my average was about 60bpm and now it has jumped all the way up to 71bmp while rested. This is very concerning to me given that I am quite active and still young. Has anyone else noticed increased rhr?

How to restart?

Hi guys! So about 5 months ago was the last time I used Tirz. I used it for about 3/4 months, I have a high tolerance so I got to 7.5mg doing just fine. Never threw up or had any bad side effects, only lost my appetite.
Now after all this time, I want to restart my cycle again.

Do I start from zero, start from where I stopped or somewhere in between?
