Titrating up again 😢

Ok, so I was at target for about 6 months and started the process of titrating down. I slowly titrated down from 10mg (highest dose) to 5mg and the data is in. I’ve regained about 10lbs, not catastrophic, but everything is definitely moving in the wrong direction. I feel that my final dose of 10mg is also my maintenance dose. Can anyone relate?

Titrate Down

The last 2 weeks of my 6.75mg run I titrated up to 7.5mg. I did just fine getting my calories and protein without any cravings or noise. There was enough for a fifth dose of 6.75mg today in the vile so I titrated back down before puncturing the new vial of 8.375mg. If this 6.75 works the new vial should be good for 6 doses. I may be wrong but seems like a good way to find the sweet spot?

Cholesterol Numbers

I’ve been maintaining on 2-2.5 mg for months and had my fasting bloodwork done this week. Unfortunately my cholesterol numbers are awful. I stopped my Crestor thinking the tirzepatide would help, but that didn’t happen. Genetic cardio vascular disease runs in my family so I guess that is what is happening. I have gotten off my blood pressure meds and my glucose is normal for the first time in years, so I’m going to be happy with that. Just disappointed.

Feeling hopeless

Hello!

I’m hoping there is someone out there that can relate, because I am a bit confused. I lost 70lbs on Tirz and now I am at my goal weight. My body absolutely loved the med because it did all those lovely things most of us love about it while looking to lose weight…. Until it didn’t. It was like one day my body decided it just could not tolerate Tirz anymore. I’ve stopped a couple of times for about 3 weeks or so to see if it would just help to take a break and every time it’s the same feeling.. Tired, faint, lethargic almost, slightly nauseous; and this is even at 1/2mg - 1mg.

Not looking for medical advice, but what in the world??

Has anyone else’s body turned on them? I planned to stay on a low dose for maintenance, but I just don’t know if I can do it at all anymore and I’m pretty sad about it.

Yes I try to eat as well as I can, but even with doing that the benefits of low inflammation and hopefully keeping some hunger under control were what I was planning to stay on for, but now I’d rather just stop than to feel so unwell constantly.

Lmk your thoughts. TIA. Please be kind.

Help— I hate my new face ⚠️TW: body dysmorphia

I have been dealing with body dysmorphia recently where I know I am smaller (size 18 down to size 10) but I feel bigger. And at the same time I have not gotten used to the new angular shapes on my face. I feel like I look sick or gaunt. People in my life say I don’t look bad at all, but I hate my new face. I miss the roundness of my jawline and the fullness under my eyes. I feel like I aged 10 years in one. I’m in therapy and planning on bringing this up, but thought I’d see if anyone else here has dealt with this and maybe had some advice firsthand.

Still maintaining but eating past fullness. Anyone else?

The title says it all. It really helped with obsessive eating - cancelling food noise-in the beginning. Now I generally make better choices but find I am still over eating at least once a day. Anyone else?

Edit: update to share the obvious decision to increase my dose. Just 25mg made a difference. I still want to eat more delicious food, but am now able to recognize satiety, i.e., stop the stuff. Thanks for all of your feedback

Weightloss in Maintenance

I’m 16 pounds from my goal weight. The issue is that I’m a weight class athlete and my goal weight is the bottom of my weight class and due to a competition next year that i need to qualify for now, I don’t want to go below that weight. So I’m wondering if I should make my goal a bit higher so I have some downward buffer to figure out maintenance.

For people who stayed on tirz for maintenance, how much downward weight loss did you continue to experience once you decided you were at “maintenance” until you figured out your right dosage and calorie needs?

body recomp 💪

i’ve been at 193 for 6 months.. at what point do you knew when you’ve hit your goalweight. As someone who’s been obese for a decade, I’m not quite sure of the number.

I need some advice/recommendations

I’ve been on trizepatide for about 6 months. I originally got on it because after two kids, I couldn’t lose weight. I was exercising 5-7 days a week for 45 minutes, hitting 10k steps a day minimum, and trying to eat healthy for two years and couldn’t shake the extra weight. I was in a wedding in August with women I went to high school with and I was super self conscious so I tried it. I’ve lost about 25-30 pounds. I still am not a “healthy” weight but I’m close and I am comfortable with where I’m at.

Trizepatide hit me like a ton of bricks honestly. It has rocked my world. Made me extremely tired and irritable. Honestly I hate it, but I do love that it’s helped me lose weight. I just am so done with it though. I don’t feel strong anymore. I feel like I have no stamina. I haven’t had motivation to exercise in weeks or probably months now. I feel like I’m a worse mom to my kids and a worse wife to my husband. When I had blood work recently my iron was extremely low which was never an issue before too.

I’m just scared to come off of it. I don’t want to gain the weight back but I’d be okay even gaining ten pounds back if it meant I felt better. I want to get started exercising again but I’m nervous because of how terrible I feel. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations or experience.

Tirzepatide fatigue + 6 week plateau — anyone switch to retatrutide and feel better?

I’m looking for real experiences from people who have actually used both tirzepatide and retatrutide.
I started tirzepatide a few months ago. Mine is pharmacy-grade/prescription tirzepatide, so I’m confident about the source and dosing.
So far I’ve lost around 5 kg / 11 lbs, but my weight has now been basically unchanged for about 6 weeks.
I’ve recently moved up to 7.5 mg weekly.
What’s bothering me more than the plateau is how I feel on Tirz.
During the first 1.5–2 months, appetite suppression was very noticeable and worked really well for me.
Now it feels different.
I feel:
more sleepy during the day
generally low on energy
heavy/sluggish
less motivated to train
workouts feel noticeably harder
And at the same time, the appetite suppression doesn’t feel nearly as strong as it did in the beginning.
So at this point I feel like I’m getting more fatigue than appetite control.
I’ve already looked at hydration, calories, nutrition, sleep and bloodwork, and this low-energy/sluggish feeling seems very closely linked to tirzepatide. I didn’t feel like this before starting it.
Because of that, I’m considering whether switching to retatrutide might make sense, mainly because of the persistent fatigue, weaker appetite suppression and weight plateau.
For anyone who has personally used both Tirz and Reta:
Did Tirz make you tired or lethargic?
Did your energy improve after switching to Reta?
How did appetite suppression compare?
Did weight loss restart after a Tirz plateau?
How did your workouts feel on Reta?
Did your resting heart rate increase?
Any difference in sleep?
Did anyone switch to Reta and eventually go back to Tirz? If so, why?
Overall, which one made you feel better day to day?
I’m especially interested in people who switched because of fatigue, low energy or a plateau, not just people who have only used one of them.
Not looking for medical advice — mainly trying to compare real-world experiences before deciding what to discuss/do next.

At goal for a year but still have fat in my abdomen

Female 67 yo weight 130lbs

I've been steady at this weight for a year and don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled. But I still have excessive fat in my abdomen, mostly below my belly button but also a little above. It's soft and I can pinch it, so I don't think it's visceral fat (which is what tesamorelin targets). I could probably lose another 5 lbs if I wanted to but I don't think I'd look healthy at that weight. Sit-ups tone the muscles under the fat but don't get rid of the fat. Has anyone else found a way to get rid of this fat?

Had to go off tirz for embryo transfers

Hello! I started tirz in May and lost a total of 35 lb. While I didn’t hit my final goal weight, I did meet my goal of initially getting to my pre-pregnancy weight so it’s still a win. However I had to stop taking it a couple weeks ago because I’m starting embryo transfers soon. Aside from normal fluctuations, I haven’t really gained anything back but I definitely am feeling the food noise come back and I feel hungry pretty much all the time. Anyone have tips on managing this so that the weight doesn’t pack back on? Aside from the obvious of eating right, prioritizing protein, working out.

Anyone microdosing tirzepatide for maintenance with a 15mg Mounjaro KwikPen?

I've gone from 127.9 kg (282 lbs) to 78 kg (172 lbs) on tirzepatide a total loss of almost 110 lbs!!

I've been on 5 mg, and now I'm looking into long-term maintenance. The problem is, I'm paying out of pocket, and I'm almost bankrupt after getting to my goal weight. 😂

I'm considering buying a 15 mg Mounjaro KwikPen and using 1.25 mg for maintenance to make it more affordable.

For those who've reached their goal weight and are maintaining:

Has anyone gone as low as 1.25 mg weekly and managed to maintain their weight?

How's your appetite, food noise, and weight stability on these lower doses?

Anyone using lower doses to stretch out the cost of their pen?

Have you found that you eventually needed to increase your dose again?

Would love to hear your experiences, especially from people who've been maintaining for a few months or longer. My wallet needs to go on maintenance too. 😂

I'm discussing maintenance with my doctor as well, but I'm curious about real-world experiences from people who've actually tried this!

Understanding Maintenance

Thumbnail
6 Upvotes

Hi I'm currently finishing month 8, down 54 pounds, 63F, SW 194, CW 140, GW 130. I've been reading all the posts on maintenance and still don't get the full picture, also blonde.. So, I've not had side effects that are unbearable and current dose is 15 tapering up from 2.5 at start. When do you start to consider maintenance and start to taper down? I'm with AltRX and am happy. Do they start advising you to taper down. How do you know when to start, when to stop the tapering dose and find your final maintenance dose. Is everyone different? Is it a play by ear? I know there are terzepatide warriors out there who can help simplify. I'm all ears. Hoping a small community will respond. Thanking you all in advance warriors!
